Ground Game: Is Joe Biden's Campaign
Committing Political Suicide?

Original Article

Joe Biden and the Democratic Party may have seriously hobbled their election prospects in November by refusing to send out staff and volunteers to campaign door-to-door, building the essential “ground game” that helps win elections. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) claim to have volunteers and staff knocking on 1 million doors a week across America. The Biden campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) claim that they are not committing political suicide but merely adapting to the coronavirus pandemic. They told Politico that they can compensate for the lack of in-person canvassing with phone calls, texts, digital organizing, and virtual meet-ups with voters.

To me honest, I don't even want to see a Trump campaigner at my door. "Door to door" work should be off limits this year. Permanently would be fine with me.

Adds credibility to the theory that Democrats are putting all their chips on mail-in ballots to cause chaos and confusion to allow enough blue states to claim they can't certify a winner before the electoral college must meet. This throws the election into the Democrat-run House of representatives who can pick anyone they want for President. How about Michele Obama reluctantly agrees to take the job for the good of the country?

stepping back from the door after ringing or knocking, is an old fashioned and successful sales technique. It is non threatening, and respectful of personal space. Old Jo can't send campaign workers out if doing so is too dangerous for him. I get the feeling that if Old Jo had not eluded the draft board and had gone to Viet Nam as a 2nd lt., his troops would have fragged him. finally, i find a Biden tv ad deeply offensive. A woman named Martinez lost her grandmother to Kung Flu, and the woman is holding DJT personally responsible. What a crummy, dishonest ad!

FTA: "The move appears to be “part of a larger gamble that voters will give Biden credit for taking the coronavirus more seriously than Trump.” The only people I know who are deathly afraid of the Wuhan flu are leftists who watch CNN and MSNBC. Most other people are sick of the panic, know that a lot of it is political posturing and who want to get on with their lives.

The reason Joe BidenAss has no ground game is because he can't find any volunteers to actually go out and campaign on his behalf. That is the reality of the situation. All the rest of the rationalizations are just a smoke screen thrown up by his staff to deflect scrutiny of the truth: BidenAss has Zero support from his own team.

There's always a bigger game...and Placekeeper Joe is part of one. It would appear the UNIPARTY Dems are ready to sacrifice to diminish the onslaught of the radicals. It keeps the UNIPARTY in power one more election cycle...and its leadership is not getting younger, whether Mitch, Nancy, Kevin or Chuck-U.

I don't have too many election cycles left in me but to me when the democrats chose Hillary in 2016 the biggest threat in my view was Bernie Sanders. I think Sanders was more of a winner to the democrats and a terror to Trump. I feel the same now instead of Biden swinging farther left they already have that with Bernie Sanders plus the old nut job could be on the trail with his bros and probably collecting more bros along the way. A sacrifice is a sacrifice so why not Sanders instead of this joke with Joe Biden.

The media’s constant attempts to show Biden blowing Trump away in ‘the polls’ is pathetic. Agree with #10 that no one is going to be persuaded by a campaign volunteer at their door suggesting who they should vote for. Everyone already knows who they are going to vote for.

The DNC and Biden's campaign know 2020 is a lost cause. That's why they raised up and selected a throw-away candidate with a thrown-away campaign. Over 20 second rate candidates; not a star in the bunch, and even then the best they could do was a candidate that never got past playing second fiddle.

The sad thing is, Uncle Joe probably won't understand that he lost the election. "Come on man. I couldn't lose!" "it will also hurt Democrats in down-ballot races", yup. It's going to be a massacre of the dems. There will be tears and wailing and gnashing of teeth. And we will laugh at the fall of their arrogance and their dismay and frustration. Then we will continue to rebuild our Country.

Near the end of last year, I casually joked on my podcast that watching Joe Biden campaign was like watching a public service announcement about elder abuse. As with all good humor, it was based in truth, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized just how much truth there was in that joke. But there’s more truth in it than I realized because Joe has not only been the butt of the joke, but he’s also been in on it the whole time. That Biden has lost a step isn’t in dispute.

We are beset on all sides. From across oceans — on the east and the west — a deadly virus has invaded our country and brought our society to a halt. From the south, waves of undocumented migrants and refugees have, in recent years, overwhelmed our border. And now from the north comes the invasion of ingots. You may not be fully aware of the ingot invasion, but it’s a serious matter. It's a national security threat, in fact — or so President Trump has declared. If you’re not familiar with ingots, they are not a tribe of Canada’s First Nations.

President Donald Trump issued four executive orders extending relief during the coronavirus pandemic after Democrats in Congress refused to compromise with the White House to pass a relief bill. Trump has almost certainly exceeded his authority with these orders, and Democrats plan to challenge them in court. Yet by signing these orders, the president called their bluff. Democrats refused to work with him to secure coronavirus relief, planning to make Trump look heartless. In response, the president called their bluff, and now Democrats have to fight against the relief Americans need.
Washington’s dubious — and pricey — ‘stimulus’ 4 replies

With negotiations over a (yes!) fifth COVID-19 rescue package at an impasse, President Trump took action on his own Saturday, signing executive orders on a number of “stimulus” measures. Whether his actions or Congress’ ultimately prevail, expect a pretty hefty price tag — and dubious economic benefits. For starters, unilateral steps by a president, especially regarding the budget, are often legally and politically fraught. The Constitution gives Congress the power over the purse, and if there isn’t enough political will to act, it can be a stretch for presidents to simply use their “phone and pen” (as President Barack Obama put it when he issued his own EOs) and sidestep lawmakers.

Maybe Judge Luttig was right all along. I had the misgivings you’d expect back in late May, when I disagreed with J. Michael Luttig, the stellar scholar and former federal appeals court judge, regarding how the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals should handle the Flynn case. At the time, that court’s three-judge panel had not yet heard oral argument on Michael Flynn’s mandamus petition — i.e., Flynn’s request that the panel find that federal district judge Emmet Sullivan was acting lawlessly. Sullivan had not only failed to grant the Justice Department’s motion to dismiss the criminal case against Flynn; he had appointed a former federal judge

National Review’s Jim Geraghty recently told us “20 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Susan Rice.” I worked with Rice during the Clinton administration and have five more things the public needs to know. 1. Rice was obsessed with U.N. peacekeeping to solve world conflicts. Rice was a key architect of a disastrous Clinton-administration policy — Presidential Decision Directive 25. PDD-25, as the document was called, sought to implement “assertive multilateralism” to address all global conflicts with U.N. peacekeepers. This concept, the brainchild of Rice’s mentor Madeleine Albright,

The city council began to reexamine the police department's budget earlier this summer in response to anti-police protests. Mayor Jenny Durkan (D.) and police chief Carmen Best criticized the most recent set of proposals, which would also end the removal of homeless people from the city's streets and cut salaries for police leadership.
