The Democrats Surrender in Portland

Original Article

The Democrats’ surrender in Portland, coming so precipitously after the appearance by Attorney General Barr before the Judiciary Committee in the House, looks like a favorable development, insofar as it goes. It may be too soon for victory to be declared by America’s government and other allies of moderation, law, and order. We’d like to think, though, that the capitulation in Portland suggests that principle can prevail. The deal was struck Wednesday, the day after Mr. Barr laid down the law before the House Judiciary Committee: “Since when is it okay to try and burn down a federal court,”

Now watch the low-lifes want the US (you and I) to pay for the remediation of downtown Portland. Saying: "It's only fair since they(Oregon) protected our buildings and The US did nothing!"

It is a big victory for the common sense: big city dwellers do not want to be saved and there was no point of saving them. Police is betrayed by mayors ans councils, they would not risk lawsuits to protect some buildings. The cities will burn and hopefully it will alienate enough voters - but I am not holding my breath.

Wow! I think the video Jim Jordan at the House Hearing must have "woke" a lot of people! Before the video was aired, a lot of folks did not see the real carnage happening, in Portland, night after night. Even FOX cut away from the same video shown during Outnumbered. Then they apologized for the part that was shown. Why? Americans need to see for themselves! They don't need to be protected and they sure don't need FOX censoring a video showing what is happening all over our country! As for Federal dollars going to help Portland clean up and rebuild their city, no way! They made the mess, they can clean it up themselves.

I don't believe this for one minute. Some people got embarrassed by AG Barr and Jim Jordan but that's over and stopped right there. The Federal government thinks the federal property will be protected from those feral hoodlums they have another thing coming. The streets need to be swept clean of the vermin standing in with a sounding thrashing and jail time until then they trash in Portland still own the place.

Well, well, well! Looks like Ken Cuccinelli struck the final blow. Good for you, sir. Now arrange for all restoration of damage to be paid out of Ted Wheeler's city budget. The resulting budget shortfall should then be taken from city taxpayers in the form of a special assessment. Then we'll leave it for the taxpayers to tar & feather Wheeler and frog march him to his promised land.

Even Alinsky recognized that too much is too much. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag." Portland under siege had become a drag. Now everyone can proudly walk away under their negotiated deal...and you can bet a nice Federal "emergency relief" check is on its way to Oregon.

I agree with #6, the so-called mainstream (liberal) media, these days including the “woke” Fox News Channel obviously believe that they are in business to create a filter between the American people and reality, as was clearly shown by Fox News when they cut away from the video, thus denying the American people seeing the reality of all the criminal rioting that has been going on, that the leftist and liberal Democrats have been falsely referring to as being “peaceful protests”. In other words, those media entities only want the American people to know what the media wants the American people to know, and right now that obviously does not include the criminal rioting and looting that has caused a huge amount of physical damage in mostly all liberal Democrat run inner city “communities”.

President Donald Trump scored a legal victory Friday as a federal appeals court upheld a lower court ruling tossing out a libel lawsuit filed against him by adult film star Stormy Daniels over a tweet Trump fired off about her in 2018. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals accepted arguments by Trump’s lawyers that he was merely offering his opinion and not leveling any factual claims of his own when he issued the tweet casting doubt on her claims that she faced intimidation as she prepared to go public with allegations that she and Trump had a sexual encounter.

Darren Wilson is the former Ferguson, Missouri police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown, who assaulted him. The shooting was a wholly justified act of self defense. Yet, it triggered the Black Lives Matter movement. It’s fitting that a phony justice movement originated with a phony claim of police misconduct. Wilson has been cleared of any criminal conduct by a grand jury and by the Obama-Holder Justice Department. But the left never gives up. Thus, as Bill Otis notes, yet another prosecutor, Wesley Bell elected in 2018, reopened the investigation of Wilson. Bell, who is African-American, gained office by attacking Robert McCulloch, the incumbent prosecutor. McCulloch led the grand jury proceeding

At 8:46 a.m. on Thursday, President Trump issued his wildly irresponsible tweet suggesting the November election be delayed — yet another reminder that Trump is contributing to the breakdown of America’s democratic institutions just when it needs them the most. Then, only two hours later, we got a reminder of where Trump might have gotten the idea that our democratic institutions don’t deserve respect: from his wildly irresponsible predecessor. During his eulogy at the funeral of the civil-rights hero John Lewis, Obama called for a degree of norm-shattering in service of the partisan interests of the Democrats that will, quite simply, tear this country asunder.

The guild urged its employer to diversify its workforce to 24 percent Black employees and over 50 percent people of color by 2025 as an apparent reflection of the New York City population. They also called for a minimum of job applicants to be people of color and that staff of color should be added

A funny thing happened on the way to the riots. Left-wing revolutionaries discovered ‘NIMBY!’ — Not In My Backyard. The first hint came in May when the sports reporter Chris Martin Palmer tweeted ‘Burn that s*** down!’ cheering on low-income housing in Minnesota being set ablaze. But then the rioters came for him. Distraught, Palmer tweeted out an SOS. ‘They just attacked our sister community [note the woke gender designation] down the street,’ he furiously typed. ‘It’s a gated community and they tried to climb the gates.’ A mysterious ‘they’ then had to ‘beat them back’. After a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals ordered Judge Emmet Sullivan to grant the Department of Justice’s motion to dismiss the prosecution of Gen. Michael Flynn before Judge Sullivan had ruled on the motion, Sullivan petitioned for review by the full D.C. Circuit. Two of the three judges on the panel were appointed by Republicans. By contrast, most of the judges on the full court were appointed by Democrats. Therefore, it’s not surprising that the full court has decided to review the panel’s order. To be fair, the panel’s order is arguably erroneous. Granting a writ of mandamus, as the panel did, is an extraordinary measure.

Bush attended and delivered a speech at the late Congressman John Lewis’s funeral. George W. Bush had every reason not to attend Lewis’s funeral, let alone eulogize him. Lewis may have been a famed civil rights leader, but he was also a bitter partisan Democrat congressman, who boycotted both of Bush’s inaugurations. Bush barely mentioned the political division between him and Lewis. “John and I had our disagreements of course,” Bush said.

Lawyers tell the joke about a person on trial for mariticide – killing one’s spouse. The defendant testified, “I didn’t do it and, if I did, it was in self-defense.” The point for lawyers is that you can plead inconsistent legal theories, but not inconsistent facts. Which brings me to Portland, Seattle and the Democrats. On the one hand, while their cities are looted and burned the Dems maintain that in fact the looters and burners are “perfectly peaceful.” The Dems’ lackeys in the media spin the same tale.
