American science is making terrific progress on a COVID vaccine. This is great news for America, which of course makes it bad news for Democrats. First, the great news. A company named Moderna has released data on further clinical trials of its promising vaccine. The results were published after peer review in the most prestigious medical journal in the history of the world, the New England Journal of Medicine. There were 45 test volunteers.

What's good for America is bad for Dems, and they know it.

No Masks. No Vaccines. If we fall for it then they'll make sure we have a vaccine each and every year. Get the vaccine for the common cold first.

Really, really good article, and the comments after the article are superb. I disagree with the author’s take on Bill Gates, but so do some of the commentators. IMO, the rest of the article is spot on. Thanks for posting, OP. It was a welcome relief after being subjected to nothing but gloom and doom on limited television choices while on vacation. Save your blood pressure and DO NOT watch the alphabets this morning.

It is already happening. They reported Friday that more than 50% of patients had adverse reactions to the Moderna vaccine. That is the one where they stripped a strand of RNA out of the Covid virus. It is among the most promising because it is easy to make, does not have to be grown on eggs (like some flu vaccines), and can be produced in huge quantities. In a clinical trial everything gets reported. If you are in the trial and you get a migraine, it gets reported. If you get a rash on your foot it gets reported - then they try to figure out through statistical measurements what will appear in the package circular.

Don't gloss over the evils of Big Pharma until the price is set. I'm going to pass whether the vaccine is ten dollars or a thousand dollars, except for the underprivileged of course who will get it for free. I depend upon a healthy lifestyle and social distancing measured in miles not feet.

I took cinchona bark powder (HCQ herbal precursor) at the first sign of symptoms that looked like COVID and the symptoms went away with no bad effects. Though I don't know whether I really had COVID or not. But as to deriding solutions.... I imagine the articles written about the dope who recommended people chew all kinds of bark straight off trees with the worms still in it, have already been written :)

The long term truth is that people will have only two choices to make regarding COVID-19. Door 1 is to get the real disease and accept the risk of a live virus. Door 2 is to get the vaccine and accept the risk of a dead virus. Actually, Door 3 is to get Moderna's or Pfizer's mRNA genetically engineered antibody vaccine and avoid the risk of even a dead virus. As far as side effects go, I had a significant reaction to the ShingeRx vaccine for shingles that included chills, nausea, and pain at the injection site. It's still a lot better than getting shingles. Even something as simple as a CT scan can cause major side effects for people that have an iodine allergy to the contrast medium. We're not going to ban CT scans for the majority based on these risks and the same should hold for COVID-19 vaccines.

I would expect the opposite. The media has been pushing the vaccine as opposed to HQC+Zn+Z-Pac. I expect them to push POC-first on the vaccine and then acted shocked when it has unexpected side effects like sterility. While the useful idiots on TV spout BLM Marxist propaganda, the alpha predators like Soros and Gates have no use for the useless eaters at the bottom of the food chain other than to use them to get into power. They will be disposed of just as Hitler disposed of the brownshirts and other despots eliminated the people who helped them get into power. Marxists understand that the key to Communism is that everyone has to be productive whether they want to be or not.

Gee I wish I still had that naive trust of the CDC, doctors, and scientists that I used to have. They have shown themselves completely untrustworthy and unconcerned about the health of Americans. Their "advice" on masks is harmful to our health, while offering no virus protection at all to the healthy person. I will no longer take ANY advice from the CDC. No more flu shots, no pneumonia shot...and if I had a teenager I would be highly suspicious of their ad campaign to pump them full of their new fangled shots at age 11 and when heading off to college.

I have heard the vaccines only last a few months, and are effective only in half of those cases, with unwanted side affects. Add that to 95% of the people don't need the vaccine, and the vaccine exposes them to unnecessary risks. The masks are dirty, should be disposed of every 4 hours. None are. The politicians don't know anything, and neither does the CDC, WHO, or any of the Dr. Fauci's. The economy should never have been shut down. That was an horrific mistake. The politicians and doctors should stop making mass prescriptions for health or society. We do have our differences, and each of us is blessed with hands and mind to attend to our own health and businesses.

There will only be media abuse over the use of the vaccine if Trump has been reelected. If the Left succeeds in commanding this country, the message conveyed to the public by the media is exactly that which enhances submission to the rule by the Left. This is the "mainstream" media, of course... for if the Left takes over the full apparatus of the government, any independent alternative to the "mainstream" will not be long for this world.

Every reaction will be blamed on Trump I have no doubt. I had the ShingeRx vaccine and it hurt for days. Of course you need 2, 6 months apart so the 2nd time I knew what to expect, still got it. I have nothing against living in the age of vaccines because I hate getting sick. You have to be a sucker not take them and there's one born every minute.

#16, usually the folks who didn't get vaccinated. And the annual flu vaccine is necessarily, due to the time needed to produce and distribute the vaccine, a GUESS at which of China's multiple annual new influenza strains will become dominant in the USA. Sometimes China slips in a different strain than that which the vaccine was developed for. That can't happen with thus one, obviously we know for certain what strain to make the vaccine for.

As for baseball, let’s be honest. It’s boring to watch and it’s even boring to play. Ordinary people who aren’t being paid to play baseball cannot endure it except by playing it co-ed with beer, which makes practically anything endurable including watching paint dry. About 90% of baseball consists of the players standing around while touching their privates whenever the TV camera is pointed at them or sitting around the dugout pretending to watch the other team while touching their privates. They often spit. Why do people pay to see millionaires lolling about in a park and hiding in a little concrete bomb shelter while spitting and touching their privates?

Some of Marx’s pragmatic successors such as Lenin, Stalin and Mao were amazingly successful for a while. On the other hand, patrons in Aspen restaurants are now permitted to eat without masks, even when seated together, which is good because it’s been hard to squeeze food through those little pores in the mask. On the other, other hand, a restaurant was cited for permitting patrons to walk to their table without a mask.

Urban trekking around Denver the other day, I happened across a protest march of maybe a thousand people. Here’s what I observed. The marchers were almost all white. I saw fewer than a dozen black people and no Hispanics. Most were young women looking vaguely guilt-ridden. They were well-dressed, well-groomed and well-fed. I’m not passing judgment, mind you, but just reporting the facts. Some were in small groups of similar young women. Some were with boyfriends, who were neither well-groomed nor well-fed. They were scrawny and scruffy, if you ask me, with thin beards.

We all know the story. In the first chapter, they transformed the laugh line “I demand a recount” into actual demands for recounts. But the recounts didn’t materially change the vote totals. Then they asked the Electoral College to defy the will of the people they represented. That, too, didn’t work. The next chapter was the smear that Trump had colluded with the Russians. But the only collusion they could find in their two-year investigation was the Dems’ own payment of millions of dollars for a fake Russian “dossier”

The odds of a young healthy American catching and dying of the COVID virus are roughly 1 in 70,000 and going down. Their odds of dying of sunstroke are ten times greater. Their odds of dying in a car wreck or by suicide are a thousand times greater. So why are many young healthy people afraid of dying of the virus? I have a theory. It’s because fear is pleasurable. Martha Stewart and Michael Flynn have something in common. Both were nearly ruined for lying to the cops. In Stewart’s case, she was accused of insider trading for accepting the recommendation of her broker to sell some stock. In doing so, she avoided a loss that was paltry by her standards, less than $50,000. She was acquitted on the charge that her stock sale was illegal, but was convicted on charges that she had lied to federal investigators about the circumstances of it. For that, she served time in a federal prison and her media empire was nearly destroyed.

A Marxist is credited with saying “by any means necessary” in a 1960 speech entitled “Why we use violence.” In other words, the reason Marxists use violence is that violence is necessary to accomplish their goals. Later the slogan was commandeered by communist sympathizer Jean-Paul Sartre. He stated, “It is not by refusing to lie that we will abolish lies: it is by eradicating class by any means necessary.” French philosophers always complicate things. This one thought the way to abolish lies was by eradicating class, violently if necessary. Wouldn’t it be better to just tell the truth? Malcolm X later declared
