If there was any doubt left that it would be completely suicidal for President Trump to agree to a general election debate with live "fact-checking," as some dim liberals have proposed, his interview with Fox News's Chris Wallace just removed it.
A clip of the interview set to air Sunday was released two days earlier, and in the snippet, Wallace asks Trump about the race riots throughout the country, specifically naming New York and Chicago, where violent crimes have spiked in recent weeks.
Trump correctly noted that the cities with the highest crimes, including those two, are run from top to bottom by Democrats.

The MSM can be counted on to twist and fabricate facts on the spot to prop up slow Joe.

before chris did the interview with DJT, he should have formed his questions and researched the answers. If Chris had done that - research what Biden has said on the subject of defunding the police, chris shoud have dropped the question out of the interview.lineup of questions.

FNC used to get a lot of screen time at my house, but because of Chris Wallace and some other unapologetic liberals (Those that push the liberal agenda as they engage in "we report, you decide" performance) are the reason I now only watch a few select evening segments. Immediate channel change is required if Wallace or the black woman that gave Hillary the debate questions and pronounces any word ending in "g" by endin it with an "n". Gets me turnin the channel.

Redirecting funds is giving less funds to the police. Therefore that is defunding. Logic 101 for those who allow morons like Wallace to tell them what to think.

Wallace's anti-Trump views have been the only theme of his program these past 2 years. That Fox is broadcasting his interview twice today does not bode well for the president. I'd like to think the campaign will fight back hard. They've had time to prepare.

Why would the debates be fact-checked in real time? The so-called "news" isn't. We're served stories daily with no attributable sources, no verification, and no retractions when they are subsequently proven false. So the American people are asked to navigate the daily news cycle that bears no hint of journalistic truth or integrity, but cannot manage to watch two people in a two hour debate with some network telling them what to think? They just want the last word, true or not.

I refuse to watch anything where the left sets the narrative. Fact checking in a debate is a set up to negate Trump from clobbering Joe Biden the stupid 'mouth breather'.

I'd like to ask Chris Wallace why he decided to follow his father into journalism. There is no way no how that Chris will ever escape his father's shadow, and the prevailing belief that the only thing that allows Chris Wallace any egress into the conversation is because he is Mike Wallace's son. Nepotisim, plain & simple. YOu should have been a comedy writer, Chris. Your positions on many things are absolutely hilarious. Like how Biden dosen't want to defund the cops! Bwahahahahaha!!! Tell another one, man! You're killing me!

Chris Wallace is a Buffoon on Steroids. He had the audacity to say Joe Biden didn't say De-fund the Police.
Well Chrissy he used slightly different words, but in fact, taking money FROM the Police budget no matter how is De-funding them! Get a real job at something you're qualified for. I hear Californication is looking for more garbage collectors...um, er, Sanitation Engineers, you'd fit right in, prior trained and an expert!

What we have here is a failure to communicate. People are using different definitions of the word 'defund'. To leftists like Wallace defund means to cut off 100% of police funding and Biden hasn't proposed that. To the rest of us defund means to reduce police budgets, providing less this year than was provided last year and in the years prior to that. And round and round in circles we go.

I will decide the facts myself. The facts are all out there. I don't want any pundits, ''journalists,'' social media children, or any ''experts'' trying to tell me what to believe!
We know what they would do, because we have already seen it! We have the T-shirts to prove it!

Four or five years ago, the leaders at Fox News kept Wallace in line and he was reasonably fair. But, with the old founding leaders of Fox now gone, and evil Paul Ryan unleashed by equally evil Lachlan Murdoch, Wallace was released from his fairness and is now in full leftist attack mode.
Nowdays, Wallace is to be avoided, on real point in listening to his ultra biased drivel.

You have to be either a moron or willfully dense to say that Uncle Joe doesn't want to take money from the police, i.e. DEFUND, and distribute it to other dem purposes. I guess you could make the argument that Joe didn't understand the question because he seems not to understand much these days.
Media propagandists cannot help themselves from supporting their favs. Crowley did it and Wallace did it. This is beyond the media being antagonistic and asking tough questions. This is advocacy for the opposition candidate. That means you are PART OF the opposition team. We have always known this and it has been true for decades. Now it is out in the open. This is actually an important service Trump is doing, beating the bushes and chasing the media and Deep State snakes into the open. The media was easy because of their egos. The Deep State is harder because you have to lure them into the open with the right opportunities. However, it is also their egos that trip them up. The fully decorated "call me Colonel" Vindman was a peacock on display. Now he is "retired" because he exposed himself and was apparently too stupid and arrogant to know it.

@#8 - Wallace's Trump interview will do absolutely nothing to harm Trump's reelection bid. Frankly, I'm surprised the president even gave Wallace the time of day.

When will the Left learn that Trump is always right? Say what you will about his dad Mike, but at least Mike was a little more honest about his politics on 60 Minutes. He also had no problems going after bad guys on both sides of the aisle. Unlike his pantywaist son Chrissy, who never met a corrupted democrat he didn't embrace gladly.

It would be impossible to fact check Biden for what he says in any debates as clearly Biden does not accurately remember a lot of his past, or will make out that he does not, and Biden does not have a clue as to the political agenda that his leftist and liberal Democrat operatives are formulating in his name for the future.
Trump should not go along with any such fact checking that would be used as a tool against him by the liberal media.

I'm with you, #27. It grates on me to listen to Wallace: "But-but-but" whenever he interrupts. And, "I wanna pick up on that..."
"But-but-but, I wanna pick up on that, but-but-but, I wanna pick up on that, but-but-but."
Ugh!
