On Monday, the federal court judge overseeing the case against former Republican campaign advisor, Roger Stone, ordered the Department of Justice to provide details of President Donald Trump’s decision to commute Stone’s sentence — specifically, to clarify whether the commutation applies to Stone’s full sentence or whether it applies only to potential jail time.
U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, the official who sentenced Stone to 40 months in prison followed by two years on “supervised probation,” issued the Monday order, requesting that the DOJ provide a full copy of the president’s commutation order to the U.S. District Court.
Jackson told officials to send the court “a copy of the Executive Order

DJT doesn't have to explain himself. He has unfettered power to commute any any federal prisoner he wants to. It's obvious now that Sullivan has forgotten the Constitution or never learned it in the first place.

I'm with Jonathan Turley. This order isn't necessarily alarming. The judge may very well be simply needing guidance in handling the details, specifically probation.

The reality of the Leftists today, including Jackson and Sullivan, is to always assume the worst of them and you will be better prepared. If they actually are simply acting procedurally, you can be pleasantly surprised. Leftist judges HATE to be overruled.

The White House should be asking for information on how the Mueller Persecution team selected Judge Jackson? Was it strictly random or did Mueller’s goons select the rabid Hillary supporter in order to ensure Stone’s conviction?
Two questions for the judge:
1. Why did you deny Stone his constitutionally guaranteed right of free speech by placing a 9 month gag order on him BEFORE his trial? Can you explain your authority to stifle free speech?
2. Since you are a Democrat, were you aware that the jury foreman was also a Democrat and someone who has run for office as a Democrat? if yes, why didn’t you remove her? If no, what was your criteria for jurors?

This type of behavior is in direct proportion to the tolerance and restraint of the right and in particular, the president's supporters. If BLM and Antifa types were Trump supporters, their willingness to beat, stab. shoot, burn, and loot would result in quite different outcomes. The past two years have shown the right to be a paper tiger and the left, from street bums to street bum judges, has taken notice.

#18, I would not call conservatives a paper tiger but I certainly would call most of the Republicans elected as public servants less than politically courageous. It’s not we the people who are weak and without moral clarity and courage. It is the leadership. They have allowed the left the space in which to do their worst to the country and they have eagerly done so. When our leaders could have stood for right, they were so frightened of the media hacks who would pounce, they sat comfortably in their offices praying they would be left alone. From day one, we needed more support for the President and the policies he was initiating. It was not forthcoming. He has, but for a loyal few, battled the evil that inhabits of the capital with little help and support. Even while it was clear that his policies were working, many Republicans were silent or even outwardly opposed. I can’t help but think what could have been had he had support and enthusiasm he deserved. The worthless cowards have done untold and complete unnecessary damage.
The left has only strengthened their resolve en masse. You have to give them that. They are loyal, useful idiots all, but they have been effective in their strategy while we have been disjointed and sometimes even downright oppositional. When will we learn? It appears to me we have three major political parties, Republican, democrat, and Conservative. Thankfully, we have a President who is willing and able to take a stand regardless if he has the support of some Republicans. The Deep State is filled with these wishy washy status quo Republican sell outs. Like this Judge, they will do anything to gleefully throw a wrench into the works of anything that is right, good and fair. When the history these years is written, it will clearly show the complete surrender of those who cling to the status quo. My prayer is that, once again, a small minority of patriots will do what was considered inconceivable and emerge victorious to restore our beloved nation, instill appreciation for our founding, and stand determined never to allow this country come so close to the dark miserable tyranny that the democrats attempted to force upon us. Then we need to take a look at the tyranny of the judiciary. Something is very wrong with many in the DOJ even at the highest levels. Justice has taken a back seat to their political bias and this goes against the bedrock principle that states we are all equal under the law. Lady Justice needs her blindfold tightened because these activist judges are doing an awfully lot of peaking here lately.

Probably the leftist and liberal Democrats and the so-called mainstream (liberal) media ginning up controversy over what is just a Constitutional action by the President of the USA. Since the Stone Matter was still active in that Judge’s Court and the truth be known, the DOJ was probably going to send her a copy of the President’s clemency order as a routine matter. Otherwise everyone who has been paying attention recognizes by now, that the Judge is a partisan Democrat, who took every chance in this highly politically based case to unfairly screw over Stone. That’s why Trump decided to grant Stone clemency.

Oh sure #11 - because anytime any Republican even though about challenging anything Obama did - immediately he/she backed down from the inevitable attack that he/she was a racist. Our justice system is being abused and we can no longer just turn the other cheek and be reasonable.

Please read here: https://nypost.com/2020/07/13/ex-dhs-secretary-elaine-duke-weakened-legal-case-for-ending-daca/
"President Trump’s former acting Homeland Security secretary purposely decided not to include policy reasons in her memo to end the “Dreamers” program because she didn’t believe Trump administration officials’ grounds to end it, according to a report. The absence of those reasons became the crux of the Supreme Court’s ruling last month blocking the White House’s efforts to end the Obama-era program."
So we see again another Bushite in position to poison Trump's decisions and policy. Therefore, gumming up the works to slow down and cause confusion and chaos. Here we go again. I hope he got the right person to write this commutation.
The judge in this is a crook and a liar, in this case a wrench also may have been placed in pipeline.
A buddy of mine in the oil fields said a worker was fired. He said the worker threw a large wrench in the well while it was drilling.
Cost much money.

#25, I'd send her a copy of the constitution and another copy of the commutation order with the pertinent parts highlighted in yellow marker and a post-it note saying see yellow highlighted portion and get a clerk to explain it to you if you don't understand it.

So ... Judge ... with all due respect ... exactly what part of "separation of powers" are you having trouble getting a handle on?
The DOJ should tell her to pound sand. The Chief Executive used his powers to commute the entire sentence of punishment. As in "everything imposed by you that was a punishment". Obviously --- you dolt --- that includes your attempts at house arrest, curfew, make him wear an ankle bracelet, show up once a week at a probation officer's whim, no travel abroad without court permission, etc. Screw you! It's a blanket commutation and doesn't need to be itemized.
BTW --- just for the record --- Trump did not take away "the conviction" which still stands ... just the punishment. This allows Page to appeal. After re-election, Trump can take away the conviction too.

The leftist and the liberal Democrats and their media allies are trying to conflate the commutation that Trump issued Stone as being a Presidential Pardon which is false. All Trump did with his commutation order is to cancel out the punishment phase of the Stone case, the conviction still stands and must be dealt with through the federal court appeal process that must be initiated by Stone and his lawyers.
Conflation is a routine trick that the Democrats use to confuse their low information constituencies who could not find the earth on a Globe.

Wow. Remember the good old days when Democrat judges simple legislated from the bench. Now, thanks to a new embolden breed of Obambi judges, they simple ignore the other branches of goobernment. The new Obambi judges simply assume they are the executive, legislative and judical branch all in one big black robe. Obambi appointed judges he knew would ignore the seperation of powers and bring about his 'fundemental change' through judical sedition.

Judges don’t ‘order’ the DOJ to do anything. Trump was well within his constitutional rights to do what he did so there Is no more to be said about it. There will be no congressional investigation that will come to a different conclusion and no laws passed that will change it. It would take a Constitutional Amendment. This is all bed wetting and political blah blah blah that Democrats spend most of their time doing. Outside of DC no one cares about this.

Get this BWitch, President Trump does NOT work for you. In fact the DOJ is part of the Executive Branch of government and YOU don't task anyone to do anything. If you ask nicely there may be numerous conditions...like why you held an unfair trial on Stone, violated his free speech rights, among a host of other illegal actions YOU TOOK!

The DC swamp is trying to force President Trump to issue a full pardon....that way they can say he's using his power to dictate results... same as General Flynn... the swamp wants the convictions from mueller's witch hunt to hang over Stone and Flynn...and no legal harm to comey and his cabal...This judge is part of the DC elite who thought they could get rid of President Trump....now they are stalling for time because they think they have rigged the 2020 Soros paid election...
