Hollywood's identity crisis: Actors, writers and producers
warn of 'reverse racism' in the film industry
which has created a 'toxic' climate
for anyone who is a white, middle-age man

As the wooden boards are taken down from shopfronts and studio lots grind slowly back to life, Hollywood is basking in an unseasonable heatwave. The famous boulevards shimmer in 40C haze and warm Santa Ana winds fan the Beverly Hills mansions. Shaken by #MeToo, paralysed by Covid-19, the $50 billion film industry is finally emerging from a four-month lockdown – only to find a new and very different world, where tension is rising as surely as the thermometer.

Hollywood can go bankrupt, for all I care. My DVD collection is nicely stocked. And if I need more, there is a local used book store where they can be had for ten cents on the dollar.

Well, well, well. Be careful what you advocate for! After having been lectured by these preening, pompous arses for years, to the point where I refuse to go to the movies except on very rare occasion depending on who the director is, the shoe is now on the other foot! Welcome to our world that you started. I can only imagine the losses these studios are going to take. Their movies are already bad enough. Throw in movies with actors with no experience and bad subject matter, it will be fun to watch Hollywood implode! So much for being "woke". Idiots all.

This racist madness is going to impact most if not all publicly traded companies. Unlike Hollywood, the hardest hit will be middle age white women, not men, because men were hit by gender hiring and promotion quotas decades ago. The beneficiaries of those anti white male policies were mostly young white women, who are now middle age. Their opportunities for advancement will now be as difficult as it has been for men. Welcome to the wonderful world of racial equity, white girl! What’s most troubling is that the uniformed services, from the military to police and fire, will be the most negatively impacted. We can avoid movies but it’s hard to avoid calling the police or wondering if our armed forces will defend the country.

Not to worry. The "film" industry as in theaters is dead. Dissing and ignoring the majority population is not a smart move. Ditto network television. Without stealing from US taxpayers to pay for alternate entertainment, where's the money to come from -- oh, I forgot, they'll use Obama's idea, "we'll just print more money." LoL

Hollywood brought this situation on itself by creating the expectation that a person of color be included in every show, every commercial and playing the role of the smart person while the white actors are portrayed as bumbling idiots. Not to mention that the shows are boring, repetitive and incredibly stupid. Result: They are losing all but 13% of their former audience. Congratulations you imbeciles, you have killed the Golden Goose.

That mindset spilled over into commercials, and into real life as well. It's not just middle age men, it starts in elementary school and runs through the entire educational system. As for commercials, the latest insult to men is the commercial on TV advertising a product to keep your pet calm. I guess the advertising agencies think it's funny, but it's kind of insulting when every commercial portrays men as idiots and buffoons.

I'm a writer/director/producer in Hollywood and this is the truth. As conservatives, we meet in secret and smile and nod at work. Fortunately, I'm gay so my silence never makes people think I'm not a liberal. But now the mob is going after liberals. Which makes it doubly dangerous for conservatives. Even though it's fun to watch the left eat itself, this will spread to companies all over the country I'm considering moving back to Texas to make films where the cancel culture isn't as strong. White men, like myself, are being stamped out in this age of socially accepted racism for the sake of cosmetic diversity.

What amazes me is that no budding entrepreneur has yet chosen to move into the huge market void that these leftist Hollywood studios/writers/stars have created. The financial opportunity is massive. There's a palpable hunger in at least half of the country for films that center on protagonists and themes that reflect pro-American, pro-military, pro-all-lives-matter, and good-guys-save-the-day values. Not to mention the fact that technology now makes every home a top notch movie theater that has better video, better sound, and can provide popcorn/soda combos for way less than 20 bucks a person.

"Reverse" - nothing. Straight up, pure, unadulterated racism. Racism, contary to the imaginations of little minds, has NOTHING to do with who is doing it to whom. Racism is anyone treating two people differently, based solely on the color of their skin. And today, 90% or more of racism is whites being descriminated against in favor of blacks or other races. Straight up racism, common as hell, and people are proud of being racists. Affirmative action is RACISM, it always was, always will be.

Racism is unduly exploiting race based differences for PERSONAL gain or profit. Anyone come to mind. Like someone with middle name Hussein or using the title Reverend? A black patient is more likely to suffer certain conditions because of his/her race. A doctor treating them differently is not racist.

To be successful, you have to produce what customers want. Hollywood has not cared about their customers in 40 years, and they have lost most of them. Making other people happy makes you happy. Stewing in your politics, grievances, jealousies, greed, envy, and self makes one miserable, which is where Hollywood stands.

I lived within walking distance of Hollywood in the early 90's. Even then, conservatives kept to themselves and their opinions quiet. This was back when Dan Quayle was excoriated for making the comment about closeted republicans, but I knew exactly what he meant. This insanity will continue and get worse until there is serious pushback. Fortunately, for leftists, conservatives have to work to pay for their welfare and subsidized livelihoods, and dont have time to protest.

It is one of the ironies of the trial of President Trump on a charge of incitement of insurrection that the remarks most likely to be studied by historians is the speech delivered after the verdict — not guilty — was brought in. It was after the Senate ordered the outcome be sent for safekeeping with the Secretary of State, and the court of impeachment was adjourned, that Senator Mitch McConnell unloaded. His speech is likely to go down as one of the most remarkable ever delivered in the Senate.

The Wyoming Republican Party voted overwhelmingly Saturday to censure U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney for voting to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. The vaccine rollout is not going as planned. Since mid-December, the U.S. has distributed 21.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines; fewer than one-third have actually made it into people’s arms. The problems have been many and varied: holiday delays, scheduling scams, long lines in some places, and not enough demand in others. These initial kinks are getting worked out, but that alone will not get us back to normal anytime soon. The next phase of the vaccine campaign—reaching tens of millions of elderly people and essential workers, along with the rest of the community—will be even harder.

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
