Nightmare in New York: How Covid-19, BLM
protests and a liberal mayor are turning the
city into a no-go zone as murders skyrocket,
shops are looted and 500,000 middle-class

Two bullet-ridden bodies lay sprawled on bloodstained concrete steps. Alongside, relatives of the victims are wailing and collapse to the ground. In another part of the city, a gang of youths use spray paint to disable security cameras before robbing a corner store. Later, video footage captures police officers sitting helplessly in their patrol car as a baying crowd hurls glass bottles at them. This is lawless New York – a city that was once America’s glittering crown jewel but which risks descending into mob rule.Murder figures have skyrocketed and a combination of the coronavirus pandemic, Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests and weak political leadership is in danger of achieving

Cry me a river. Don't come whining to us when its you leftist tools that voted for Comrade deBlabbio and his liberal dog and pony show. You get what you voted for, buttercups. So suck it up and don't move out where you can bring your lunatic fringe politics with you and mess up some other place. NYC was a cesspool 36 years ago when I was there, and its only gotten worse. I do feel for the cops trying to do their jobs, but lets face facts: if you don't have the support of those that write your check, better to get out and find greener pastures.

"...could descend into mob rule..." Could? Watching the news the other night, there were scenes of a mob rampaging in front of City Hall (if i recall correctly) and the reporter said there were about 800 people involved. Eight hundred in a city of more than 8 million people.
This is what will happen to Minneapolis real soon. Extortionists, protection rackets, organized crime gangs offering "protection" (but not from themselves).
The Hegelian precept holds, that without governments, life is "nasty, brutish and short."
A year ago or so an oldies tv channel was playing "Kojak" episodes. These were filmed in the mid-seventies. The city was dirty, sleazy and violent, on screen and in reality. I'm guessing that was a period of time when a lot of city dwellers escaped to places like western Massachusetts and Vermont and promptly turned them liberal.
They need to FIX their own nest before they go and foul up everyone else's. True enough, it's hard to fix stupid, and even harder for stupid to fix itself.

This demonstrates exactly why there is a necessity for a government, with laws, enforced by police. Human nature is a beast that demands to be fettered! Unchecked, it is murderous!

This could have been avoided with a show of force in the beginning. You put a small fire out quickly before it spreads but these Dim Mayors rolled the dice in stupidly, politics or just liberal insanity and now we have to toothpaste out and a real dilemma to put it back in. Speaking for myself I'm done spending any money in this third world S&%t hole.

New York, like most big cities in America, has been destroyed by corruption and liberal politics, which go hand in hand. Now these same voters want to move on to the next place and do the same thing. They don’t learn anything and they are blind to the root causes. It is the definition of insanity.

I’m shocked that the left wing anti-American Daily Mail printed this. It’s a perfect campaign ad for PDT.
Look at the idiots protesting at city hall - only a couple of them are wearing masks which cover their noses. If what the CDC says is remotely true (and I don’t believe a word they say) those protesters might as well be swapping spit.
At this point, me greatest wish for NYC is that our beloved hostess, Lucianne, gets out of there.

I have zero sympathy for the city where I happily grew up.
They wanted communist Warren Wilhelm to be their mayor - - elected him twice - - and they wanted leftist lunatics on their City Council - - and by God they got them! I grew up in middle class Italian-Jewish-Irish-Polish-Puerto Rican Brooklyn. Nearly all of those hard-working, tight families are gone now - - replaced by God-knows-what - - because I no longer care.
It's a shame to watch this happen - - but the worst part is that leftist voters will learn NOTHING from this. They will continue to live in their delusional world - - and keep electing the same creeps who are destroying them.

This was all so predictable and the media still finds it impossible to tell the truth. The usual "gang of youths" should be "feral blacks" you morons. New York was never a "crown jewel" but it was a tolerable place to visit, have dinner and sightsee, especially around the Christmas season. It has always had homeless, winos, drug addicts and areas where whites dare not go. Now it's completely trashed.

It's not just people from New York, but people from New Jersey as well. For months while driving on I-95 the number of cars with New York and New Jersey plates heading south has been incredible. Normally, one would see a uptick of plates from those states in the winter months heading to Florida for the warmer weather. But starting in April, when the snowbirds usually start heading back north, the number of vehicles heading south from those states kept increasing.

FTA, "We need a progressive leader, someone who can restore faith in law and order and give people hope." these are the delusional moronic statements that New Yorkers actually believe. Progressive is ant-law and order. We are seeing Progressive at its finest in New York City. Someof these delusional liberals actually believe these progressives can make it better nonsense. All they need to do is visit Detroit. Once a great city, now a Hades hole without a future.

Under Democrat governance NYC is like the National Geographic documentaries of the African savannas. Great herds of ruminants grazing, with packs of predators mingled among them, sizing them up. Then occasional deadly attacks on the weakest. And the herds reassemble quickly and much away while the predators are momentarily sated. Until the next attack. Life on the NYC savannas. Send in your donations during pledge week.

Its not just NYC. The rest of the state is slowly following NYC's lead. People are voting with their feet. Its not just liberals leaving New York, but also Conservatives who are realizing they have no voice and are now being harassed by assorted lefties.
For example, there is a Nextdoor blog for the NY community I live it, and sadly it became politicized. Somehow, messages from Andrew Cuomo started appearing on it. Naturally some Conservatives took exception to what he was saying, and now they are being flamed whenever they post something on Nextdoor. It really is harassment.
I live in New York, but winter in Florida. Traveled to Florida last September, and haven't been back. I have postponed my return trip twice thanks to boneheaded CV19 restrictions on both ends.

It is actually quite simple, Mark Levin discusses it last week, this is an effort to drive people from the cities to the suburbs so they can be federalized. #NewYorkStateofAnarchy is the dream of Prince Andrew so he can create his Utopian Kingdom with the left behind treasure of Upstate. It is truly evil.

Escape from New York, the "home edition"....right in your home if you live there.
I have always been uncomfortable in NYC, since the first time I visited in the 60s, always thought it was a bit like visiting some museum of odd, abnormal pathologies. It never felt to me like any real place and certainly not a place I wanted to stay. Certain things were good...interesting architecture in some buildings, some good restaurants, but it was always sleazy, and always corrupt feeling, with the threat of personal harm just barely suppressed at any point in time. And seeing those city streets shown thousands of times in TV shows and movies in real life was as more like visiting a giant movie set than any place people would actually live, or want to live. NYC has always been kinda creepy, artificial to me, never a place I could relax and enjoy.

Visited NYC throughout my life. In the 60s Black crime was rampant. In the 70s garbage was piled 5 feet high on the sidewalks. Last year all large buildings has scaffolding in front of their entrances giving the city a construction site look. We stayed at the Trump Hotel, sans scaffolding, and a spectacular view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. President Trump was right about moving to Florida.
Watching the Feral Blacks looting Macy’s while the famed NY Best stood by watching by was the epitome of the 2020 Race Riots for me. I will never forget.

Compare New York City to Gotham City in the Batman movies. Not much difference. Both are cesspools of filth and crime but at least in the movies there are some in the government who want to clean it up and make a difference.
In New York City and Batman would throw his hands up and abandon it.
