Pelosi Blames GOP for Russian Annexation

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) on Wednesday blamed Russia’s annexation of Crimea on Republicans, though the invasion took place on President Barack Obama's watch. Pelosi slammed President Donald Trump and Republicans for their alleged inability to face Russian aggression—and tied them to President Barack Obama’s appeasement of Moscow. "You just described, not only for the president, but the Republicans in Congress, dereliction of duty," Pelosi told MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace. "Undermining our own elections, undermining our commitment to NATO, giving away the store, the base, in Syria. The list goes on and on. Ignoring the annexation of Crimea, the invasion of eastern Ukraine. The list goes on and on."

Again, these people rely on the illiterates of their voter base. These people believe anything they are told. Fact is, Putin used Obama, Clinton, Pelosi and Schumer as door mats. These communists did nothing as Russia, China, Syria and Iran were running wild with no one to keep them in check. While Russia was taking Crimea was on the golf course, on late night TV shows and playing basketball. You see, Obama turned the presidency into a part time job. A total fraud. Got it.

I agree with #12. If such a large percentage of the leftist and liberal Democrat identity based constituency groups were not so stupid about how the world operates, Democrat politicians would never survive talking like Pelosi has been doing recently, undermining America in the world, by stating that the President of the USA is an undercover Russian agent in dereliction of his Constitutional duties without having even an iota of legitimate evidence of those fraudulent allegations.

I think Pelosi is on the heels of Biden in the mental decline. She is having more and more problems with coherent speech. Her excursions into fantasy may be either lies or delusions. Probably some of both. One thing is for sure: Pelosi and the rest of the democrat party must be voted out of power. The democrat party is not a party for protecting and preserving the country it claims to represent. It has become the party of every anti-American creature-from communists to aggrieved racists and hate mongers. If democrats had the opportunity, America would certainly be ''fundamentally transformed'' into a hell-hole comparable to the other hell-holes of the world! Those ignorant radicals who think they know what they are asking for would cry the loudest! Well, maybe not as loud as me!

Annexation was going to happen sooner or later. Zippy just made it easier with his lack of attention. The Russians had been leasing the Sevaastopol naval base for the Black Sea rustbuck...er Fleet since 1997. There were also Russian ground forces stationed there per the lease agreement. These lease payments amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars were actually deducted from the Ukraine gas bill to Gazprom. Ultimately, the lease was extended to 2042. The political problems with Ukraine leadership made it a relatively easy decision to annex Crimea since it would terminate the lease and enable Putin to charge full price for gas and return more revenue to Gazprom. Also, Tarsus and Latakia in Syria as an alternative were not working out to the extent needed. Other factors were in play, but I can't imagine Putin wanting to lose that much revenue until 2042.

Actually, old Nance is telling the truth...from the Uniparty perspective. It was the fault of Republicans because they are not a true opposition party. They helped facilitate all of Obama's globalist policies because they were on the same anti-American team. If the Republicans were a true opposition party, Obama would not have gotten away with his destructive foreign policy without pushback. So yes, the Republicans are just as much at fault as the Democrats. All of the Obama administration was a Kabuki theater production by the Uniparty.

We celebrate Independence Day in America this week. Despite our imperfect history, the United States is an exceptional country that still attracts masses from around the world because of the freedom and opportunities available to our citizens. The chaos and destruction across the country seen over the past month have left many people wondering if the majority of us — particularly younger citizens — are proud to be Americans. A recent poll of high school and college-age students, however, gives us hope for the future — particularly among those who have yet to finish 12th grade. The survey was commissioned by Young America’s Foundation and conducted by Echelon Insights.

A friend in Washington saw Jared and Ivanka at a couple of smart DC dinner parties in the first year of the Trump administration. Ivanka seemed to want to depict them both as the internal opposition to her father, restraining his worst instincts, nudging him along on climate change or women’s issues. You might have assumed as much from ‘Javanka’s’ public image as a couple of rich young New Yorkers of conventional Manhattan liberal opinions who ended up in the White House by accidents of birth and marriage. (As Amber Athey writes, they haven’t changed.) But my friend was most impressed with Jared Kushner.

Joe Biden is tragically suffering a mental eclipse and sliding away at a geometric rate. Understandably, his handlers have kept him out of sight. He stays off the campaign trail on the pretext of the virus and his age-related susceptibility to COVID-19 morbidity. I say “pretext” without apology. Quarantine should not have otherwise stopped Biden over the past three months from doing daily interviews, speeches, and meetings. But each occasion, however scripted, rehearsed, and canned, would only have offered further daily proof that Biden is cognitively unable to be president or indeed to hold any office. Often Biden cannot finish a sentence. Names are vague eddies in his mind’s river of forgetfulness.

In the six weeks since a multiracial group of Minnesota cops killed George Floyd, America has learned all sorts of things about what caused the crime. It wasn’t just those cops’ fault, you see. It wasn’t just the responsibility of the city of Minneapolis or even the state of Minnesota. As it turns out, every white person in the world is responsible for Floyd’s death. That’s why we now need to tear down any statue of any historical figure who was Caucasian, even the guy who signed the Emancipation Proclamation. That’s why any white person who voices a black character on a cartoon show needs to step aside now.

It took several months for the first iteration of the Ferguson Effect to become obvious. Michael Brown was fatally shot by a Ferguson, Missouri, police officer in August 2014, triggering local riots and a national narrative about lethally racist police. Officers backed off proactive policing in minority neighborhoods, having been told that such discretionary enforcement was racially oppressive. By early 2015, the resulting spike in shootings and homicides had become patent and would lead to an additional 2,000 black homicide victims in 2015 and 2016, compared with 2014 numbers. Today’s violent-crime increase—call it Ferguson Effect 2.0 or the Minneapolis Effect—has come on with a speed and magnitude

The fevered frenzy against public monuments has caused varied reactions. Among scholars, the main symptom is seemingly contagious dispassion. When a New York Times columnist spoke with art historian Erin Thompson, for example, their interview closed with Thompson recommending the use of chains for those interested in inverting large objects. She appears to have an affinity for neither art nor history. Thompson may have caught the bug from archaeologist Sarah Parcak, who recently — and apparently satirically — briefed mobs struggling to dislodge obelisks. “It is sometimes complained,” drawls historian William Cavert, “that such acts erase history.” According to him, that is a popular grievance against the destruction of statues

The Sacramento Bee reported that in late May, Newsom simply encouraged houses of worship to “strongly consider discontinuing singing, group recitation, and other practices and performances.” The outlet also reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned that singing and shouting “can spread the coronavirus just as easily as coughing or sneezing."
