Madness is in the air, with mobs terrifying guilt-ridden government officials, corporate leaders, educators, and the heads of all our significant institutions into violating previously sacred principles in an effort to prove their wokeness. The Constitution and basic concepts of justice are out the window, and we face a grim new normal in which “getting whitey” becomes acceptable behavior from governments. If I were white, I would not wear a mask, and if questioned, would state that I "identified as a person of color."

I went to their website, they do have an email address...I wrote the following: "The definition of racism is treating people differently based only on the color of their skin. Most Americans feel like we are living in an altered state of reality. Bad is good, up is down. It’s okay to be racist as long as it’s against whites. It’s okay to trash people’s lives and businesses as long as you’re part of Antifa (a terrorist organization) or BLM. It might seem fun now, but I promise you, none of us will like the country we are living in when our society breaks down. Maybe the elites pulling the strings will, but the rest of us will rue the day. FWIW...the entire country is paying attention."

Hard for any of us at our keyboards outside of Oregon to make an impression on them how wrong this is. It is up to those affected in Lincoln County to respond LOUDLY (our leaders have grown mighty deaf of late). But they will meekly sit by, and perhaps contemplate whether or not "Lincoln" is racist and decide only that they need to rename their County.

I have read that the racist wuhan flu is hitting African Americans harder than other races. One would think the government would want to protect the black population, but it appears to be the opposite. Protect whites, let others get the rona virus.

#7, and all those in the rest of the country who come to Oregon, this part of the Coast is a major tourist destination. Lincoln City and Newport both are dependent on those out of state tourist dollars. I would suggest that reminding the dolts of both these cities of that reality would not hurt. They are going to be hurting come Fall when the season is over.

I really need a haircut. I called a shop to see if they were open, and they are, and I set an appointment. The last thing she said was "You will have to wear a mask." I said, "I don't have a mask, I never wear a mask." She said, "You have to wear a mask, and I don't have any to give you." I said,"OK, goodbye." And hung up the phone. I still need a haircut.

BTW, this is a directive for ALL Oregon counties have to follow because of an Oregon State requirement as promulgated by their ever so woke Democrat governor Kate Brown. Democrats have controlled the governorship, House and State legislature for over 33 years in Oregon, so they are very sophisticated in how they treat the afflicted classes of people they so define.. So certain races can exempt themselves from wearing a mask. Whites on the other hand do have to wear masks because . . .well it's hard to explain. This convoluted class-based.wokeness division of Americans is imploding on Democrats; They can't keep track of categorizations, exceptions and definitions by class (race, ethnicity, sexual preference, sex, color, questioning, transitional, and the list goes on forever, so promulgating rules such as this is necessary to teach the uninitiated, un-woke among us.

We are seeing jurisdictions everywhere imposing mask bans at a rate that approaches the number of bars being threatened with liquor license revocation for failing to enforce social distancing. (snip) Even accepting the uncertain premise that masks are useful, "incorrect use and disposal may actually increase the risk of pathogen transmission, rather than reduce it, especially when masks are used by non-professionals such as the lay public." Given that most "masks" are simply kept handy for use when required, set aside, and then re-used, most mask-wearing by the public is likely to increase virus exposure, not reduce it.
