The State of CHAZ

The new state of CHAZ has evolved. Over the past week, following Seattle mayor Jenny Durkan’s decision to abandon the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct Building, left-wing protesters have transformed the surrounding neighborhood into the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), hoping to create a new political authority based on social-justice principles. On its first night, the new micro-state was led by the armed paramilitaries of Antifa and the John Brown Gun Club, but after preventing the return of police and securing defined borders, the CHAZ has sought to implement civilian rule. Almost immediately, activists established a social structure based on a “reverse hierarchy of oppression”:

I hope all of you basement dwelling and daddy's credit card liberals are paying attention. This is a brief preview of what you'll get if these people ever get real power. You all think that you're standing shoulder to shoulder and helping them fight in some great cause and that, by doing so, you are somehow immune to the ramifications. Well, you're not. Get your heads out of your collective behinds and work towards something productive and conservative, because this freak show is anything but.

Given how the author describes their social hierarchy, it lays bare the real agenda of the social justice mob: it's not about equality, it's about retribution and punishment. It's about making Whitey pay. This is no different than former British colonies in Africa reverting to local rule, which then descends into death and theft for whites and ascends to kleptocracy and third world banana republic status.

This freak show will only survive for as long as outsiders are willing to donate their own labor and income to feed their faces because it’s obvious none of them have ever had to feed themselves. If any of them ever had actual jobs they don’t have them anymore. Their idea of eliminating capitalism is to live off the backs of others. That strategy has a shelf life that will hit when the media finds a new shiny thing to focus on and moves on.

The first thing I noticed was that the AntiFa enforcer was carrying a dreaded 'assault' style weapon. In a Democrat/liberal utopia that is Seattle, that's a no-no. Extorting money from privileged whites (translation: people who work) by force will only last until there's no more money to take. Their little 'country' has nothing to sell or export, so basic necessities will soon be unobtainable. Will they then be like the Somali pirates, venturing out to rob and pillage?

For blocking access to delivery vehicles and extortion, DOJ should indict Raz Simone and other leaders under the Hobbs Act, which carries up to 20 years in prison. DOJ should also seek an injunction for violation of the Commerce Clause under In re Debs (a unanimous decision of the Supreme Court allowing precisely that).

Several thoughts, as I read this: The words these children use are straight out of their political science professor’s mouth and textbook. I doubt any of them could actually explain what these convoluted terms actually mean. As foolish as I believe this whole exercise to be, why set yourself up for abuse and enter the Land Of CHAZ, if you are a “Christian provocateur” (whatever that is), or a reporter? What happened to them was predictable, when dealing with fascist animals. Lastly, how many residents of CHAZ (makes me laugh every time I say/write it) have already left? You know there are some.

I find this experiment fascinating to watch even though it is going to end in bloodshed. Not surprising that they have placed whites at the bottom of the food chain. Given Nature's tendency to keep things in balance, how long before they rebel and attempt to assert themselves to their new masters? The More Equal Pigs at the top will pay with their lives as soon as the others get tired of their abuse. They have already learned that Utopia is not where they are. The author says it: "Unless a solution can be reached, it’s a strong possibility that this utopian experiment will end in tragedy." It the Seattle government simply cuts them off from the outside world, they will collapse due to their own helplessness. Right now we see nothing but fools on both sides. Poor Chaz Bono, Cher's daughter and now son. He/she gets a new country named after him/her and they change the name in a week! Sad. Bummer. Every book, movie and t.v. show will tell you if a building or area gets taken over, the first thing those in authority do is turn off the electricity! Hello? Then you turn off the water, sewers, jam the cell phones and play loud music on loudspeakers pointed at the held area. At night you fly helicopters over with flood lights and make noise so no one sleeps. Throw stink bombs down from the helicopters. Surround the area with barbed wire and arrest anyone trying to get out and allow absolutely NO ONE in! They want full independence from the USA then let them choke on it. Give them a week to give up. Might even be less.

There is a growing call for Disney to rebrand one of its classic rides, which is intertwined with arguably the company's most controversial film. Amid the ongoing worldwide anti-racism protests in the wake of the May 25 killing of George Floyd, a number of discussions have taken place about previously accepted symbols of historical division in America. There have been some direct results from the renewed outcry, such as NASCAR banning the use of the Confederate flag at races and the country band Lady Antebellum renaming itself "Lady A." On June 17, 1932, 17,000 United States military veterans of World War I and 25,000 of their friends and family gathered in Washington, D.C. to demand early payment of their service certificate war bonuses. Although the bonuses were not due to be paid until 1945, the Great Depression had hit the United States and these veterans were floundering financially. General Douglas MacArthur, chief of staff of the Army, personally led US troops to forcibly drive away his fellow veterans, even though future 5 star general and president, Maj. Dwight Eisenhower (serving as an aide to MacArthur) counseled him not to have anything to do with the eviction.

The past fire-lit weeks in America’s cities have made clear that the protests, and the riots that attend them, have little to do with the condemnable alleged murder of George Floyd by police officers in Minneapolis. Even in the non-violent demonstrations, protesters can be seen burning the American flag, an act that just 30 years ago engendered such outrage it spurred Congress to pass an unconstitutional law, but doesn’t even warrant coverage today. In broad daylight, protesters have defaced and toppled statues dedicated to any and all figures of America’s history. Why Gravity Is Not Like the Other Forces 22 replies

Physicists have traced three of the four forces of nature — the electromagnetic force and the strong and weak nuclear forces — to their origins in quantum particles. But the fourth fundamental force, gravity, is different. Our current framework for understanding gravity, devised a century ago by Albert Einstein, tells us that apples fall from trees and planets orbit stars because they move along curves in the space-time continuum. These curves are gravity. According to Einstein, gravity is a feature of the space-time medium; the other forces of nature play out on that stage. But near the center of a black hole or in the first moments

When demonstrations triggered by the death of George Floyd spread to Philadelphia, vandals defaced a statue outside City Hall of an old white man. They spray-painted the words “colonizer” and “murderer” on it. But the statue was of Matthias Baldwin, a 19th-century businessman and abolitionist. Baldwin was a vocal opponent of slavery decades before the Civil War. He founded a school for poor black children and paid the teachers’ salaries for years. He also advocated voting rights for blacks well before the enactment of the 15th Amendment. None of this spared his likeness from today's Jacobins. Nor was the Baldwin episode an isolated case.

We are making an important change today in our writing style. When referring to a culture, ethnicity or group of people from the African diaspora we will use “Black,” with an uppercase B. We are making this change to NJ Advance Media’s style guide to acknowledge and respect the word represents a people with shared cultures and experiences, and not a color. Black, we believe, should be used like other identifiers, such as “Asian,” “Latino” or “African American.” We also will continue to use “African American” in stories when warranted, as “African American” and “Black” aren’t always interchangeable.
