George Will's a funny guy. He is willing to aid our ideological foes for our own good. He will teach us how wrong we've been to support President Trump by facilitating Marxist socialism's stranglehold on what's left of America's Constitution. After fighting for Democrats to win everything this November, he will turn around and help us rebuild a Republican Party in his image for the miserable decades to come.
When we voted for Donald Trump in 2016, weren't we rebelling against not only Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, but also the shriveled and putrid corpse of a Grand Old Party that had long since given up being grand

Hard to decide which is t he bigger scold, George Will or Greta Thunberg. Have you ever seen both of them in the same room at the same time? Could she be his sock puppet?

George will is part of that "establishment' that sells "true conservatism" by the cartload. He has his schtick, with the bowtie, Cubs rooter persona and erudite manner. His stuff is sold in low brow vessels, newspapers and once Newsweek (Sold for a dollar) magazine, for mass consumption. He shows up on Sunday talk shows with brilliant observations and insight.
George Will will certainly be among the first to plump for a "proper conservative candidate" in 2020, like the moderate-conservative-in-waiting Mitt Romney. If Trump's numbers fade while Biden's remain flatlined, Romney will find himself "drafted" to provide a reasonable alternative, resurrecting that hero of the Olympics who is an astute businessman who gets things done. Just wait a few weeks...

George, Bill Kristol and several others define the old term neocon. It meant 'new conservative' back in the day and it was applied to liberals who supposedly joined the GOP. Well like McCain, they might have technically changed their party label, but they never really did become conservatives. They are all at heart still LEFTISTS.

Yep read every one of his early books (including Men at Work, the only sports book I've ever read). I even talked to him at a lecture he gave here on LI. Unfortunately George has now joined the Trump Derangement crowd - he's mistaken the man for the agenda. He so despises Trump that he would dump Trumps agenda (which is essentially Will's conservative agenda) if it would get rid of Trump. It's short sighted and wrong but George is pushing 80 and well into Joe Biden mental territory so I'm chalking it up to "Hope one day I don't become a confused old coot like George Will".

Ever since he divorced his first wife and remarried a lefty, he hasn't been the same since. Some guys will do anything to get laid and keep getting laid. They'll even jettison decades-old principles without a second thought or bat an eye.

Look at his prissy hands which have never seen an honest days work EVER! They are oh so lilly white and not scarred and no knuckle has ever been out of joint. Book learnin' isn't hard on the body and he should have gotten out and swung a hammer, sledge, jack hammer, used a hand saw, a shovel, thrown a baseball, ANYTHING! Never trust a man who's hands have never been tested!

Nothing even slightly funny about useful idiots like Will. IMO, they are globalists at heart, or possibly just so totally wedded to their cocktail party circuit in DC and NYC that they have become just actors, playing the part of a 'conservative' at certain times, pontificating as if they were experts, but actually not believing in any of what they spout.
As soon as a REAL LIVE, serious conservative comes along, someone willing to dismantle all the globalist, central-planning structures in DC, these faux conservatives see their cushy little niches being 'messed up' and just freak out. So many of them that I used to listen to and pay real attention to, and do not any more.
Fakers - just like the Fake News, they are Fake Conservatives.

George Will is the smartest person in the room. Just ask him.
Will, Kristol, The "Nep" Goldberg. I considered Charles Krauthammer in the same category. These guys have an ego that is bigger than their intellect, and much bigger than their hearts.

The bottom line is there were two choices for President in 2016. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Any "conservative" that says Clinton was a better choice is a FRAUD.

The problem with George Will and the rest of his RINO cohorts is that they got knocked off their stools and sidelined by actual voters. George finds an occasional talk show that lets him on to whine but in general they have ceased to be relevant if they ever were.

Excellent article. George is one of those sad people who should have retired long ago, but desperately tries to remain relevant. I remember long ago when I used to enjoy his scholarly opinions on the Sunday talk shows, but now that the veil is pulled back, I guess the one that enjoys them most is himself.

In three years, Donald Trump, surprisingly in some respects, has done more to advance conservatives and conservative ideology than all of the George Wills, Mona Charens, William Kristols. GOP politicians and other impotent dinosaurs have managed in their entire careers.
Even more surprisingly, Trump has far done more to openly support Christians and Christianity than that "Evangelical Christian Islam-is-a-Religion-of Peace" buffoon George W. Bush.
To the Never Trumpers: Go To Hell. We're not coming back.

I once heard him make fun of men who wear Levis or whatever. He couldn't imagine anyone he knew to have any reason to don such a Gothic and distastefully masculine costume.
Please. Get a blister sister.

If the Demonrats win the next election there will be no role left for the Republican or any other opposition political party. The country will become a permanent One Party Soviet State because they will flood the country with new citizens and voters by opening the borders to illegal immigration. However gets to the border will be allowed in and given permanent residence. They already have declared plans to vote an increase to the number of Supreme Court Judges and flood it with Demonrat nominees.
