The news out of Seattle is that Antifa has captured a seven-block area in central Seattle that they've dubbed the Capital Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ for short. (snip) the challenge in our current debate (which is not really a debate, because whenever facts are presented, the left shuts down dialogue and lobs the ever present term "racist") is that the media have glorified the most heinous of acts in urban centers throughout the country in the name of justice. But it's not about justice. It's about rubbing raw the sores of discontent, as Saul Alinsky asserted in Rules for Radicals.

My wife made the observation that the first thing they did is build a wall and ask for guns to protect themselves.
These actions sounds vaguely familiar; I believe I have heard the same demands elsewhere.

What they say they want is the very thing they are tearing down. The problems they have are with the incremental tearing down that preceded them, not the government of our founding. But then again there's a reason they are called useful idiots.

This is called a siege. But what good is it if the jerk of a governor and touchy-feely mayor don’t go along because they have a soft spot in their hearts for these poor misunderstood babies. The military is the only way to enforce the siege like the author describes.

While it is disconcerting, to say the least- the fact they wanted armed volunteers to protect their law breaking is - funny! That they demand vegan and soy products for food stolen by homeless self redistribution of food, telling.. here is another thought- what is ultimate end game? How are they going to produce income to support the 500 plus families? How will they pay for medical, electric, water, food supplies?
If you plan a succession, better have a written plan, not just Venmo accounts where money magically appears from anonymous source..

I prefer the Napoleon method: a whiff of grapeshot - how he put down the Paris riots in 1795.

We visited Seattle about three years ago, on a drive from California to British Columbia, having last visited about ten years previously. We were surprised by what a sh!th@le the city had become, with trash, homeless, needles on sidewalk, general despair. We do not plan on returning any time soon to the Peoples' Republic of Seattle.

I agree completely with the author. If PDT were to get involved by sending in the military or the national guard, he would be blamed for absolutely everything that happens. The people of Seattle elected their government - let them enjoy the benefits, until they have had enough and either demand change or elect Republicans.

This is a city and state matter, unless they specifically ask for assistance from the feds. Let them rot with their insane, festering violent anarchist group.
Clearly this is supported by the mayor and by the governor. Let the voters of Washington see what Democrats believe it, and how Democrats protect them from thugs......not at all.
And I am sure that there will soon be "The People's Tax" levied to feed these "looters in charge", businesses probably have to give free food to these crazies. Probably it will get to money "taxes" soon enough, too.
We'll see how long the Governor and Mayor want to play this insane game. I'm sure this is really popular with the average Washingtonian.

Surround the area, cordon it off, allow nothing in or out.
Turn off the natural gas, water and electricity.

Those families trapped in that newly made hellhole are hostages! If any come to harm, there should be hell to pay by all responsible parties, which includes the mayor and governor, besides that thug rapper ruling the human debris in control!

Only the voters of Seattle and the State of Washington can take the political action necessary during coming elections to avoid becoming the People’s Republic of Antifa. Until that occurs, as the author says, the City of Seattle should be allowed to stew in its own juices as they now have the incompetent politicians running Seattle and their State who they voted for and who they deserve.
The alternative is to blockade that Anarchist run zone on all sides, turn off all the cell phone towers within range of that zone, cut off the electricity there, and stop all commodities from entering that zone, with law abiding residents voluntarily being allowed to leave. Once the food runs out we will see what happens.

Good idea, but the problem is that Seattle *won't* cordon off the area. Food and freebies will continue to flow in and the illusion that it's a socialist Utopia will continue to grow, until Trump, or someone with balls, sends in the troops to retake the place. Some armed occupiers will get killed and become martyrs, and, though CHAZ is destroyed by "government goons" it will live on in the minds of the socialist zombies as a shining example of how the entire country could be if it not for racists and capitalists.

President Trump should ignore the so-called zone just as the Governor and Mayor are doing. When things really get bad for the legitimate residents of buildings in the zone, they will leave, hire lawyers and sue the City of Seattle for millions of dollars each for allowing Antifa and other anarchist groups to violate their civil rights. If things were really on the up and up in Washington State it would be the know nothing Governor and the cowardly mayor who should have to pay those judgements.
