Such stupid, nasty, hateful people. There needs to be a "do not respond" list for the police, and these people's addresses need to be on that list. No help for you if you ever need it.

Before we get to treating people how they deserve, I want to ask if anybody remembers something like this as part of our Savior's stern instructions: Love your enemy. If you only love those who love you, what good is that? Do not even pagans do the same? I tell you, love those who hate you, pray for those who persecute you. It's when we do good to those whose conduct deserves evil that the Spirit's work becomes visible through us.

No, the anger that they feel is irrational and dangerous and is based on the lies of self-serving idiots like this councilmember.

Just a couple weeks ago, it would have been the stuff of public health professionals’ nightmares: Thousands of people clustered together amid a pandemic, chanting, shouting, and, after police hit them with tear gas, coughing. But that was before Minneapolis police officers killed George Floyd, and before the week of protests (snip) Jennifer Balkus, an assistant professor of epidemiology at UW and another signatory, said it was a risk to gather and recognized the concern of a spike in infections. But, she said, institutional racism is “a public health crisis that’s been with us for decades.”

According to the EPA’s air-quality monitors, levels of particulate matter — known as PM 2.5 — are not lower now and have, in fact, been higher recently than the median level of the last five years. One of the first articles I wrote for The Daily Wire was a typically optimistic and cheerful piece titled “The United States Of America No Longer Exists.” It was not met with a warm reception by many readers, who understandably found it to be a tad bleak. Three years later, it brings me no pleasure to say, “I told you so.” My basic thesis in that piece was that our country, though existing still as a legal and geographic entity, cannot be meaningfully described as “united.” We have nothing but the law and the land holding us together anymore.
