Football players at the University of Texas at Austin have released a lengthy list of demands, urging the university to change the name of buildings on campus — including the stadium — and eliminate “The Eyes of Texas” as the school’s song in the name of inclusivity, claiming the racism that “has historically plagued” the campus.“The recent events across the country regarding racial injustice have brought to light the systemic racism that has always been prevalent in our country as well as the racism that has historically plagued our campus,” Texas Longhorns players said in a statement released on Friday.

A Virginia man who was struck by a falling Confederate statue during a protest flatlined twice on the way to the hospital and was placed in a coma, according to his wife. Chris Green, 45, of Portsmouth, was one of the hundreds of Virginians who descended onto the streets Wednesday to protest police brutality and the death of George Floyd, an African-American man who died while in police custody. Protesters rallied at the Confederate monument in Olde Towne Portsmouth after the City Council earlier that night put off decisions on potentially removing the statue. Confederate monuments and statues have become targets for protesters

Friday on MSNBC, liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore begged Democrats not to underestimate that President Donald Trump’s voters are white men in “rage.” Moore said, “Never take Trump for granted. If anybody is sitting at home thinking ‘Oh, man, we’ve got this one in the bag. Whoa, did you hear him today? He said he’s done more for black people than Abraham Lincoln. Whoa! We’re going to win,’ No. No. I’m telling you. I’m warning you, and I’m begging you, please, do not sell this man short. He has pulled off so many things, so many times.”On Trump voters, Moore said, “It’s white men, a lot of white men,

Amid the chaos and anarchy across blue-city America that exclusively possessed public attention for the last couple of weeks, it was not hard to miss any other bit of news — especially if that news has not appeared or been even briefly mentioned by any major mainstream media outlet. Take for example the news of Hillary Clinton, who lost her appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on June 2, where she tried to avoid testifying under oath about her emails and the Benghazi case.
The hearing in the D.C. Circuit came in the case Judicial Watch v. Clinton, a public records case

House Majority Whip James Clyburn said he lives in more fear of police now than during racial segregation in the South.“I didn't grow up in fear of police, even in a segregated environment. We never feared the police. All of a sudden, now I do fear the police. The young blacks fear the police,” the South Carolina Democrat told CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday.“Why? Because we have built-in a system that’s responding, once again, to Brown v. Board of Education and everything that comes with it,” he said in reference to the Supreme Court decision that deemed segregation in schools unconstitutional.

The Department of Justice has filed what looks to be the first tranche of charges against violent antifa protesters from coast to coast following weeks of rioting in the wake of the killing of George Floyd by police. As antifa itself would say, “It’s going down.”(Snip)More than 50 people have been indicted on various charges in La Mesa, Calif., Minneapolis, Austin, Dallas, Baton Rouge, Philly, St. Paul, and Tacoma.

An entire SWAT team in Hallandale Beach, Florida resigned on Friday in response to Police Chief Sonia Quinones kneeling with Black Lives Matter protesters. The police chief scheduled a meeting for Monday with the officers who resigned to hear their complaints. In a memo, the SWAT officers said in addition to being under trained and minimally equipped, they were outraged to see the police chief kneeling with political activists. “The team is minimally equipped, under trained and often times restrained by the politicization of our tactics to the extent of placing safety of dogs over the safety of the team members,” the officers wrote.

Black Lives Matter wants white people to know their place — which is in the back of the line. This holds even when whites are fighting to advance black causes. The Seattle branch of Black Lives Matter held a protest march on Friday, but specifically stated that white people must walk in the back like chattel.Keep in mind that BLM comically claims to protest “systemic racism” and fight for racial equality while overtly segregating and marginalizing an entire race.Black Lives Matter Seattle wrote on its website: “Anti-Blackness is a greater threat to our survival. It’s killing us, and we are fighting to survive and thrive.”

One of the first articles I wrote for The Daily Wire was a typically optimistic and cheerful piece titled “The United States Of America No Longer Exists.” It was not met with a warm reception by many readers, who understandably found it to be a tad bleak. Three years later, it brings me no pleasure to say, “I told you so.” My basic thesis in that piece was that our country, though existing still as a legal and geographic entity, cannot be meaningfully described as “united.” We have nothing but the law and the land holding us together anymore.
