Minneapolis' City Council president is defending the move to disband the city’s police department following the brutal killing of George Floyd, saying that police can do more harm than good in some cases and expecting their help 'comes from a place of privilege'. On Monday, City Council president Lisa Bender defended the revolutionary move to disband the police force, saying Floyd’s death was a 'wake-up call' that the police 'is not keeping every member of our community safe.'(Snip) 'Because for those of us for whom the system is working, I think we need to step back and imagine

Minneapolis City Councilwoman with what appears to be unchecked mental illness complains that not everyone benefits from living in close proximity to criminals like Gentle Giant repeat violent felon George Floyd, who might break into your home and point a gun at your pregnant belly during a robbery. Perhaps the flipside of Hussein's plan to put Section 8 housing in nice neighborhoods.

Residents that move away and visitors that don't come to visit will do so from a place of not wanting to be mugged robbed or killed with no police around to protect the public health safety and welfare. Let me know how all that works out. Minnetopiapolis should be the study model for finding out how stupid and ill-advised this idea really is. But suffering the consequences of your actions is the best way to learn lessons. Go ahead and do it.

The mind of a Leftist is a scary place. In her view if you have anything worth stealing then you must have an unfair privilege in life to acquire it. It's time to give it up! Downtrodden minorities cannot be blamed for stealing or mayhem because they have been denied equal treatment since the year 1619.

The lady would be quickly singing a different tune if a couple of men without privilege invaded her residence, raped and whacked her, and stole a lot of her property. I guess she would still be able to contact a “ community” public safety social worker to comfort her, hold her hand, and accompany her to a nearby Emergency Room.

Does this mean no more protection for the City Council and its members? No more protection for their homes and cars? No protection when they have hearings? No guards? Go head. Publish the addresses of all the City Council Members, along with floor plans showing where they keep their valuables. Promise everyone that a break-in to the home of a Council person will result in no prosecution.

If any of their places were burglarized, would they be calling the police? Of course they would! These people are hypocrites. More importantly, is why do they want to disband the police. Guarantee it has nothing to do with George Floyd. Only criminals want the police disbanded. What are they hiding?

She must thinks blacks for some racist reason don't have homes they would prefer not to have broken into, families they would prefer not terrorized and killed, and possessions they have worked hard for and would prefer to not have stolen.

It's funny that the last election cycle was all about women and the systemic sexism in our country. We heard all about how women are denied their rights, men have all the privileges and women are to be believed and protected from those bad guys. This cycle it's our brown and black citizens and the systemic racism in our country. Now it's all about how whites have all the privileges (I am assuming they are including white women in this) and that the police are absolutely no good, not one of them is good (I assume this includes white women officers as well). So, white ladies, is that correct? Do you have all the privileges over people of color? Are you a rotten officer who takes advantage of and picks on people of color? White ladies, or actually any of you ladies from the #metoo movement, how are you feeling about no police departments? Feeling safe?
