Jean-Paul Marat, one of the key leaders of the French Revolution, once mocked the notion that liberty could be established by his fellow revolutionaries since âapart from a few tragic scenes, the revolution has been nothing but a web of farcical scenes.â
Welcome to the modern French Revolution. The tragic killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis resulted in an important focus on race relations and justice in this country. However, it is being lost to an emerging radicalism that challenges people to prove their faith by endorsing farce.

Depends on how one defines change. As students of history, we on the right remember the last time democrats tried riots to effect change. 1968. Wiped democrats right off the table as I recall, and I hope the Silent Majority can do it again. If we vote in sufficient numbers, the democrats can't cheat. I believe Hugh Hewitt was the one who came up with that.
One thing about the French Revolution that the Left forgets. Once the rabble had finished with the aristocracy, they went for the leaders of the Revolution itself. The monster always turns on its Creator, in this case, the democrats. I have a sneaking suspicion that they are suddenly all too aware that this has gone far enough. Because they sent Obama out to make that pathetic speech last week. To me that was a big 'tell' in more ways than one.

This guy was killed because he challenged the police. It had nothing to do with his race.

This is more like the Cultural Revolution than the French Revolution. The youth march around chanting the approved slogans, while mindlessly destroying society. Like the Cultural Revolution was created to excuse the failures of the Great Leap Forward, this revolution is trying to explain the failures of the Great Society on systemic racism - as a liberal, you have to have someone else to blame for your epic failures.

This is like the French Royalty, instigating a revolution to INCREASE their power over their peasants. I sure hope the Democrats reap what they sow.

They have made "Racism!" their battle cry, but it's a very weak whimper. Only the under 30 whitebread kids who've been filled with elitist anti-American propaganda courtesy of the public school system are buying this crap.
The problem for the leftist demagogues comes from their very charge of "racist" against anyone. Since when has a person's particular view of another "race" ever been worse than a violent physical crime, like murder, rape, of felonious assault? Hell, when has it ever been worse than farting on live TV? Look to Scripture for all guidance in life:
a) There are only two "races" mentioned in the Bible - Gentiles and Jews
b) The Bible neither condemns nor condones slavery - it was commonly practiced for situations involving indebtedness
The hyper-seditious left has almost succeeded in establishing "race crime" into our Statutes as a nation. It's a hands-down firing offense in major to minor corporations these days. Depending on what the "Blacks in Charge," like Al Sharptongue and Jesse Smollett Jerkson say about your "case" you may find yourself locked up in your home, 'doxed' by the leftists for publication of your home address, have protestors camped out in your neighborhood frightening not only you, but also your neighbors, your children can become targets of "black victimhood attacks" at school or on the street, and you can be charged with "thought crimes" by the DA to "quell the anger," thereby bankrupting you and making you lose your house.
Time to call this what it truly is - "Race Bullying"

There is no revolution that I can see. Nothing at all in my life is different today due to these riots. They only have fouled their own nests in a few Big Blue Dem cities. Overrated.

He leaves out one word too often: "Democrat" For example, it should read, " ...DEMOCRAT political leaders and commentators are outdoing each other to demonstrate fealty to this new order." And, " ...stores are left unprotected while DEMOCRAT politicians and experts excuse such crimes entirely."

I donât know about the rest of you but Iâm sick to death of hearing about the need for âpolice reformâ. How about instead we talk about cultural reform in the black community? How about we talk about reform in the demonrat party which has kept blacks on their plantation for the last 55 years?

This so called revolution is about Fascist control of the country and enslaving people. The French Revolution was about freeing people.

George Floyd was the victim of his own poor life choices. The police did what they could to prevent him from hurting them, hurting himself, hurting others or wandering into traffic. No one could have known the poor state of his health after years of abuse which caused his heart to fail when restrained using approved procedures.
Lets pray for the police officers involved that they receive a fair, unbiased, non-racist trial for just doing their job to protect us.
