Schadenfreude: CNN's Fredo Cuomo loses

CNN's obnoxious Chris 'Fredo' Cuomo, who hates his job at CNN and actually told a radio host that, has now lost half his viewers in wake of the coronavirus crisis. According to the Daily Mail, it followed a series of Fredo-grade stunts. CNN host Chris Cuomo's ratings have plunged 49 percent in the two months since he announced he'd contracted coronavirus, data from Nielsen Media Research shows. Since the week of March 30, Cuomo has dropped from first in his 9pm time slot among cable news hosts to bottom of the barrel, last week averaging just 440,000 daily viewers in the age demographic prized by advertisers.

Comments:

Lotta reasons not to waste hours watching Fredo Cuomo complain and get into altercations with strangers.

I thought the video of him “emerging” up the well appointed stairs from his highly finished “basement” - as if he had actually been confined there, luxurious though it is- giving his formerly fevered brow a wipe (no doubt imagining himself as a Nelson Mandela scale Sufferer) was enough to get him kicked out of kindergarten.

First in his time slot? Horse bunky. Maybe in airports, but when was a CNN 'news' show ever top in its slot in the last 20 years?

I doubt it is true. And with a population of about 380,000,000 a daily viewership of 440,000 isn't much. Its close to 1 in a thousand. Even if 1/2 the population are kids or others that never watch news (which it is not) that would only make it 2 per thousand that watch Fredo.

President Trump was happy as heck at the news that Michael Pack, his choice for new director at the Voice of America, finally got confirmed by the Senate. It came as a sort of miracle, given the dirty, protracted battle from deep state's Obama holdovers to keep him out. It was so underhanded it involved a last-ditch Kavanaugh-style bid to smear Pack as corrupt if for nothing else to delay his Senate confirmation to eternity. It was deep state at its worst and it failed. Now, what's probably the last solid Obama bastion of deep-state government has toppled. (Snip for tweets) But if you want to know who's howlingly happy

Radicalized district attorneys in cities across America are putting violent rioters and looters back on the streets, and letting other hardened criminals walk. More than anyone, one man is responsible for this outrage: Billionaire socialist George Soros. St. Louis is a case in point. There, prosecutor Kim Gardner let 36 people arrested for looting and rioting go scot-free, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Gardner’s office used the pathetic excuse that it needed “essential evidence” from the police, implying it had none. One wonders how people caught in flagrante delicto could simply be released. The answer is, Gardner is a

A man died tragically after being held in a savage knee-to-neck hold by a policeman. What was the officer thinking? Protests have turned to riots in several of our big cities. Why does this happen? History is a teacher but we ignore its lessons. The “we” above, however, is more of a “they.” In a nation of about 330 million, those who refuse to learn number only a few thousand: the few law enforcement officers who abuse rather than protect and serve; the elected officials who don’t police the police nor police the riotous, and even tacitly encourage violence; and

President Trump, who put in a stellar leadership performance with the coronavirus crisis - recognizing the danger, rendering aid with record speed, deregulating, leading on the cure, bringing in many players, and unlike the blue-city and blue-state satraps, moving to close the operation as the curve flattened. It was Trump's classic "hotel manager" crisis management at its best. But something's gone wrong with his strange silence and ineffectual tweets with this crisis. I'm not the only one who's noticed - Daily Wire has an impressive wrapup of this worrisome development here. Its premise of course is quite twisted. One racial incident in a solid blue city

It was bizarre stuff, given that she's already made millions from her shelf space selling her own brand of cookware for Target. You never want a good crisis to go to waste.” That was Rahm Emanuel’s now-infamous prescription for the Democratic Party following the 2007-2008 financial crisis. Now, China’s applying that same dictum globally, as the Wuhan virus ravages nation after nation, freeing Beijing to do its mischief. For years, Americans of all political stripes operated under the delusion that China, though nominally communist, was becoming more like the West every day. Our massive, but one-sided, trade with the country would bring changes, we thought. An inevitable consumer economy in China would expand, and bring with it ideas of freedom, human rights

As the “official” tally of COVID-19 deaths tops 100,000 in the U.S., we keep hearing how that number is likely a low-ball estimate. But there’s far more evidence that the death count has been knowingly exaggerated – possibly by a very wide margin. A recent Seattle Times article pretty much lays out the charade going on. The headline reads: “Washington state’s actual coronavirus death toll may be higher than current tallies, health officials say.” But the story itself leads one to the exact opposite conclusion. Well down in the article, the reporter reveals that: “The rapid onslaught of this coronavirus forced

They say it was inhumane and there was no reason to do it, so it must be about hatred toward immigrants. It has been their battle cry to demonize President Trump, the Border Patrol, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Once you understand the larger objectives, everything becomes a sequence of predictable events. The term “community policing” has been used for several years by groups advocating for radical changes to law enforcement; however, behind the innocuous phrase is really a much more serious agenda. If each community can determine the enforcement of law, then essentially all communities can eliminate the underlying law itself. Remove local enforcement of law and the local community can independently assemble a social structure separate from all other binding contracts that frame a larger societal compact.
