Highly sought-after summaries and transcripts of intercepted phone calls between former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak contradict key claims made by former Special Counsel Robert Mueller in his criminal case against Flynn. The transcripts were provided to Congress on Friday and obtained by The Federalist. You can read the full documents here and here.(Snip)The transcript of the December 29 conversation, which was cited by Mueller, does not include a request from Flynn that Russia “refrain from escalating” in response to U.S. expulsions of Russian diplomats. Yeah, Flynn was framed and all this Russia stuff is a political scam. No one disputes that except a few deadenders on the extreme networks. And so? That horse is dead. Now Flynn is free to tell his whole gruesome tale. And he hasn’t for a reason...there’s much more to his situation than he cares to admit, and then there’s that perjury thing hanging overhead... It’s hard to claim innocence after pleading guilty under oath. DOJ says there is still a crime, just that they can’t prove beyond a reasonable doubt due to tainted evidence. Read their motion to dismiss.

So prosecutorial misconduct is punishable by what? As a nation we need to really think about this, the government has way too much discretion to screw with people based on the opinions of a few. This is not ok in a free society. Threatening to prosecute family members in order to force behavior is a violation of the principle of corruption of blood. You do not hold someone accountable for the acts of another.

You have to ask why are some of the conversations still classified information? As anyone who has done business with the Russians would certainly know that any telephone conversation between the Russian Ambassador and the incoming National Security Advisor to the US President-Elect would have been monitored and recorded by the Russian intelligence agencies for Russian governmental purposes. The only guess is that the still classified information relates to Islamist terrorist activities in the Middle East that neither Russia or the USA wants to be released. It’s easy to see why Barack Obama and his crew wanted to sink General Flynn, as Flynn knows where all the Obama Administration intelligence related bones are buried and is a severe threat to the Islamist terrorists and to Iran. When this politicized fiasco is over it will be very interesting to see what Flynn has to say. Once the current criminal charge against Flynn is dropped, President Trump can still immunize Flynn from an Obama recommended future perjury charge by simply pardoning him of any such charge.

Framed by criminals in the FBI, CIA and DoJ. And who will go to prison for it? Is this our new normal of behavior? Unless these people are in prison for a long time, lose their pensions and all that, this WILL BE repeated the next time Dems are in charge.

It isn't a contradiction. And it surely isn't 'lacking candor.' It's lying. It SHOULD be criminal, somewhere. It SHOULD be legally actionable. Or is that only the case when one of us peons is 'caught'?

There are a lot of people asking for President Trump to give remarks to the nation about the ongoing violence and riots in the aftermath of George Floyd’s horrific murder. Apparently many people did not listen to President Trump’s address on Saturday afternoon about this exact issue. Or perhaps the media’s need to ignore the content of his speech has led to some confusion. Regardless, here’s the transcript: (Snip) “I want to say a few words about the situation in Minnesota. The death of George Floyd on the streets of Minneapolis was a grave tragedy. It should never have happened. It has filled Americans all over the country with horror,

President Donald Trump announced Friday that he has directed his administration to “begin the process of eliminating policy exemptions that give Hong Kong different and special treatment.” .(Snip) Hong Kong and the U.S. have long-established ties, and Hong Kong’s past autonomy enables it to enjoy special economic and trade treatment from the states. Hong Kong alone was the U.S.’s 10th-largest export market, and the city received more than $80 billion in U.S. foreign direct investment as of 2017. Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is a master of prevarication and deflection. He holds an M.S. in BS and a Ph.D. in vacuous excuses. He’s a professor emeritus of duplicity and deception. As a prodigious suck-up, he’s the Eddie Haskell of lawyers. We can expect Rosenstein’s skill set to be on full display Wednesday when he finally and belatedly appears before the Senate Judiciary Committee as its first witness in an investigation into the origins and evolution of the fallacious Trump-Russia collusion probe. During his ignominious tenure at the Justice Department, Rosenstein was at the center of the Russia hoax, pulling the investigatory levers of manipulation over an imaginary collusion conspiracy

An interesting couple of things happened just as Richard Grenell passed the sunlight baton to DNI John Ratcliffe. First, SSCI Vice-Chair Mark Warner is angered about the sunlight Grenell has delivered. Second, former AAG Matt Whitaker outlines how the Mueller investigation threatened him. Both issues merge (outlined below).(Snip)When considering that Robert Mueller was used as a weapon (threat) and a shield (bury information); and when considering Senator Mark Warner’s recent protestations against Grenell; it is well worth going back in history to May 2018 when SSCI Vice-Chairman Warner was demanding the Mueller investigation must not allow congressional oversight.

Amid the flurry of details about spying on Michael Flynn, lying to secret courts about Carter Page, leaking classified documents, and more, it’s easy to get lost in the muck. It’s important to stand back, identify the worst abuses, and explain why they matter for American democracy. These abuses didn’t simply follow each other; their targets, goals, and principal players overlapped. Taken together, they represent some of the gravest violations of constitutional norms and legal protections in American history. Whether you are Democrat or Republican, whether you like Donald Trump or loathe him, these violations matter. (Snip)The entrenched elites behind these scandals are the Swamp at its most sulfurous.
