Black firefighter 'devastated' after rioters

Minneapolis firefighter Korboi "KB" Balla says his dream was always to open a sports bar, something he almost achieved after "countless hours" working on the project. His initial open date in March had to be pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic. He was ready to finally open his doors in June, but that plan came to a crashing halt when rioters destroyed his business on Wednesday. "I don't know what I'm going to do," a teary-eyed Balla told a CBS affiliate.

Since all of these riots and acts of destruction are organized, why don't all of these businesses request who is organizing them? Upon finding out, sue for all of the destruction.

They should also sue the city for not protecting their businesses by refusing to squash the criminal rioting, looting, and arson.

Sue, sue, sue... pooh! Lawyers love that, but it takes too long; and there are too many Ozero judges in place. Hot-headed rioters must be met with instant justice to stop this mindless destruction.

That unfortunate black firefighter lost everything because his leftie boss believed “the symbolism of a building cannot outweigh the importance of life.” Mayor Frey to black riot victim: “Suck it up, buttercup; It’s for the cause or something, man!”

Another note: I just noticed the word, “devastated,” in the headline, is in quotation marks. Does the writer intend to imply a different meaning here? Like Mr. Balla was something other than truly “devastated?”

Amazingly, losing over 100k folk of all races to the Chinese induced flu and being locked up by politicians does very little to Americans in general. However, one Black man dies at the hands of White folk and riots engulf the Country. So this is what America has become?

I feel for this man. There's no excuse for thugs ruining his business. However, when you can't get insurance for your new business because of a bad location, it is a hint to open somewhere else. He made a bad choice.

I suspect that traditionally, these rioters and the authorities figure that insurance will reimburse the businesses and they can rebuild. Just goes to prove these rioters and authorities have absolutely NO idea how things work in the business world. They just keep jacking up the taxes to soak them for revenue. That is all they know.

Sorry this happened to him, but he was really dumb not to have insurance on this, especially if it represented his life savings. I checked his Go Fund Me account and it looked like he had almost $550,000 in donations so he won’t be hurting and will actually come out better than if it hadn’t happened.

American hope and horror 4 replies

Few American days were starker in their contrasts of hope and horror. Saturday, after all, saw the dichotomy of a bold American leap into space, and a brutal lurch into profound civil unrest. The horror of mass rioting in more than 30 major cities absorbed the nation's attention. Hundreds were arrested, perhaps thousands, with some of the nation's most famous streets became scenes of unbridled battle. The saturation of cell phone video cameras gave us a running tally of the mayhem. Imagery of burning police cars, smashed out windows, and warring Americans. Of camouflaged soldiers moving to support overwhelmed civil authorities. Of hyperventilating partisans on Twitter.

Campaign staff for Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden are bragging about their recent donations to a far-left organization that bails out rioters arrested in Minneapolis. Reuters reported that 13 members of the Biden campaign recently posted on Twitter about their donations to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a group that uses such donations to pay bail fees of rioters arrested in violent protests. A Biden campaign spokesman declined to answer whether the donations to the Antifa-aligned group were officially coordinated with the Biden campaign.

There is no right to burn down your neighborhood, but it’s always an option. Freedom means choice, and real freedom must include the choice of self-destruction — but not destroying someone else’s neighborhood. Especially not when the neighborhood is mostly black and poor. That is what the privileged whites of antifa are doing by instigating disorder and destruction in Minneapolis’s 3rd precinct and elsewhere. ‘Every single person we arrested last night, I’m told, was from out of state,’ says Melvin Carter, Mayor of St Paul. Cost-free kicks at black people’s expense: the height of white privilege. Race is the American sickness,

Why do they keep doing it? Decade after decade, generation after generation, progressives keep making the same, elemental mistake: They downplay, excuse, and in extreme cases even encourage urban rioters. We’ve been down this road before, and it’s a straight stretch of highway with no twists whatsoever. It would take a moral moron to get lost on it, and yet somehow progressives keep managing to do so. This isn’t hard. The people of Minneapolis are right to be angry about the savage death of George Floyd, but rioting will not bring him back or honor his memory, and the riots will make everything even worse. The Democrats and the media

China is working to assume control of multiple key United Nations agencies in order to subvert U.S. influence and advance its anti-democratic agenda, current and former senior Trump administration officials told the Washington Free Beacon. China currently holds 4 of the top 15 leading positions within the organization, including a seat on the powerful Security Council. The country’s sway was on full display this year when it successfully pressured the World Health Organization (WHO) to hide information about the coronavirus pandemic.

Joe Biden needs a running mate. The presumptive Democratic nominee for president has spent the pandemic campaigning on his own, usually from his basement. Frequent blunders, glaring lapses in memory, and even saying during an appearance on The Breakfast Club, "If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or for Trump, then you ain't black," are enough to make a supporter cringe. It's not a good look. In March, Biden announced that he would select a woman as his running mate. The pandering was exhausting from Day One. Add onto that Stacey Abrams's never-ending crusade to be chosen by Biden, and what may have been

Joe Biden’s questionable competence demonstrates Democrats’ unquestioned faith in the Swamp. Biden’s recent mega-gaffe was just further evidence that his supporters do not expect Biden to govern the government; they expect the government to govern him. Therefore, their nominee not being up to the presidency is not a negative, but a positive, to Democrats — it guarantees he will not get in the way. On a recent Friday, as we know, Joe did it again, launching this immortal doozy on The Breakfast Club radio show: “I tell you if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

That’s it?! Transcripts of the infamous calls between Michael Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak reveal what was already known: The conversations between an incoming administration official and a foreign representative weren’t treason, they were perfectly normal. The Obama administration had just sanctioned Russia for its meddling in the 2016 election. Flynn is requesting that Kislyak lobby to keep Russia’s response “reciprocal” because he didn’t want things to escalate — particularly in the fresh days of new leadership. Funny how the liberal media didn’t think there was anything wrong with President Barack Obama making a similar plea to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in the run-up to the 2012 election;

President Trump is raising a completely legitimate concern that an unprecedented expansion in the use of mail-in ballots in the 2020 election could lead to voter fraud. But that has not stopped his critics from declaring his statements to be false. Really? In 2012, before mail-in voting became a partisan political litmus test, the New York Times published an article titled “Error and Fraud at Issue as Absentee Voting Rises.” The piece noted that “there is a bipartisan consensus that voting by mail … is more easily abused than other forms,” and that “votes cast by mail are less likely to be counted, more likely to be compromised
