Tensions continue to mount on night three of sustained demonstrations across the Twin Cities metro following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. While many demonstrations have been peaceful, both honoring the late Floyd and the social justice movement, others have left vandalism, fires and looting in their wake. Rioters have breached the Minneapolis Police Department's Third Precinct and set the building on fire as of reports coming in around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night. Minneapolis Police Spokesperson John Elder said in a statement that they had evacuated staff from the building due to safety concerns shortly after 10

The police had to evacuate their own police station in the area. No surprise because earlier today the police chief said that they were not going to focus on bringing looters and vandals to justice; rather they would focus on saving lives. Add that to the liberal mayor saying that we're seeing the result of people being angry for 400 years. Law and order? Not under the Twin Cities' mayors, nor the state governor's watch. The gov even said it's okay to have peaceful protest, but please practice social distancing. Through the flames of private businesses burning, we're seeing the liberals' true colors.

It’s not a protest; it’s arson, theft, breaking and entering, destruction of property and even more. But, it is not a protest.

People who destroy other people's property have some kind of mental issue. As long as they turn a blind eye it will continue. The corrupt media had harsher words for the people who protested the right to work than these criminals.

We are now Detroit as professional arsonist and violent protesters have arrived in Minneapolis to take over! Our Beta Mayor cried this afternoon! Our police ran away like cowardly dogs...probably due to NO support from a liberal mayor and governor! Trump must send in the troops to get control and start arrests or more will burn! We are 33 miles from the destruction...and we will NEVER EVER go into downtown MPLS again under this mayor! Wow, what a shambles!

The police are hired to "keep the peace" and protect us from criminals, and especially from mobs. We are told that we need to call the police when we are feeling unsafe. Except more and more the police in big, leftist run cities refuse to enforce the law when mobs start destroying. In the King riots the police did nothing. Again, in Minneapolis, the police do nothing. And there will be outcry from leftists when more civilians conclude that the only way to be safe is to be armed themselves. 'You have exactly as much security as you brought with you.'

Well, look at the bright side. Minneapolis and St. Paul no longer need to include in their budgets a police department or a fire department. They apparently are not needed, or if they are, they simply fold at the first sign of danger. Think of all the money saved. And another plus: the annual Burning Man festivities can now have a permanent home in the Twin Cities.

Nothing better than a good race riot and watching angry black peoples smashing police cars burning vehicles breaking stores windows and looting merchandise out as fast as they can carry it and then storming the police station. Reminds me of the good old days in August 1965 and the Watts Riots. I’m sure these rioters were not even alive back then so they can only hear stories from their parents on just how much fun it is to smash a man’s head in with a brick and burn businesses down to the ground. Those were the good old days.

The mayor just gave a short press conference. He said that it was his decision to abandon the police station. He said that it was to protect life. Buildings are just brick and mortar; human life is more important. I wonder if he'd have the same response if a Planned Parenthood building was stormed and set ablaze.

The Democrats want us to give up our firearms. When the police decide to run and the weak government in charge does nothing but say, burn baby burn. Thank God that the 2nd Amendment is there to protect us, even if we have to do it ourselves. Since there are no big boys left in the Minnesota government POTUS should send in the guard to protect the citizens of Minnesota.

These are just minor infractions. The police are saving themselves to go after people who insist on defying the governors orders to "social distance" and wear masks. Insanity.

Minnesotans need accurate data. Data on COVID-19 infections and deaths—and the modeling of that data—is key to decision-making during this public health emergency. If this data is poorly presented, it creates a false narrative about the facts on the ground, contributing to incorrect perceptions of danger, overly burdensome executive orders, and a longer-than-necessary economic shutdown. On April 8, roughly eleven minutes into a video press conference, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz displayed a line graph created by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
