In early April, Jason Furman, a top economist in the Obama administration and now a professor at Harvard, was speaking via Zoom to a large bipartisan group of top officials from both parties. The economy had just been shut down, unemployment was spiking and some policymakers were predicting an era worse than the Great Depression. The economic carnage seemed likely to doom President Donald Trump’s chances at reelection.
Furman, tapped to give the opening presentation, looked into his screen of poorly lit boxes of frightened wonks and made a startling claim.
“We are about to see the best economic data we’ve seen in the history of this country,” he said.

If its good for America, its bad for democrats. Unless it happens when they are in control.
Democrats will say anything, do anything to prevent any Republican win. If they cant stop it, they will downplay it , ignore it or change the subject. Have no doubt, they will burn down the country for power.

And thankfully we have a freedom-loving entrepreneur as President rather than a dependence-peddling statist.

What the Democrats are dreading is the endless, boundless energy of the American individual. Unlike their victim class most Americans can take a hit, shrug it off as much as it hurt, and get back in the fight. This is what will bring us recovery well before November and those (dems) who don't like it can kiss their donkey goodbye.

It's nice to see the dems panicking, it looks good on them.
There is nothing fundamentally wrong with the economy so no reason it won't rebound.
Yes, some businesses will go bankrupt. However, if the demand exists for the products they provided, someone else will pick up the baton and run with it. It could be a rival company or a startup. It might even be the same management doing a restart. The great thing about a Capitalist economy is that people are always seeking opportunities. Many of the employees will find jobs in the new company or other businesses that are ramping up quickly. Investors that take an initial loss will shake it off and seek new opportunities.
I have been saying this since it started. The dem "experts" are just waking up to the possibilities? Yes, it will be a bumpy ride. Guess who does bumpy rides better that almost anyone? Trump. He is the one to lead us through this. If we want to come out the other side in even better shape, we should elect a Congress that will work with Trump to get the job done.
Leave the dems and their "experts" that gave us BO's stagnation standing by the side of the road. They proved they have no clue how to do economy.

Its scary that one political party thrieves on poverty and destitution of Americans. Very sad. I remember once a Democrat actually proud to lower taxes to create jobs. And some communist shot him for it!

Was Furman the guy that advised Obama to raise taxes, increase regulations and saddle the business community with obamacare, as a way to create jobs and build the economy?

correction, there was no recovery from the great recession (caused by frank-dodd lending requirements) during the Obama years.....

My wife reports that traffic between KC and Fla is pretty much normal levels, and when she passed a lake in Tennessee, the campgrounds on the shore, visible from the interstate were filled up with folks enjoying their freedom.
America unchained, Dems hit hardest.
