They have high hopes for a coronavirus breakthrough.
A team of Canadian scientists believes it has found strong strains of cannabis that could help prevent and then treat coronavirus infections, according to interviews and a study.
Researchers from the University of Lethbridge said that a study in April showed at least 13 cannabis plants high in CBD that appeared to affect the ACE2 pathways that the bug uses to access the body.
“We were totally stunned at first, and then we were really happy,” one of the researchers, Olga Kovalchuk, told CTV News.

It sounds to me like they used a whole bunch of the "cure" before they found it to be effective. After you get high enough you don't give a fig whether you have COVID-19 or Athlete's Foot.

Whatever the "health problem" is these days, we find out that smoking dope or using some extract is the perfect treatment.
What a load of BS. Like the dope oil that everyone is pushing to cure any and all ailments, ads all over the radio and 'net.
To the man selling dope, they 'discover' that it cures everything, just like those snake oil salesmen in the old west.
Dr. Dude's Miracle Cannibis Extract! Cures lumbago, droopy eye, lower back pain, ague, constipation, ringing in the ears, sciatica and all vision problems.

I have one word for this: Snake Oil. They are ALWAYS trying to find some justification for cannabis. The claims made have almost always been lies, fantasy and wishful thinking. They start out with the supposition: Cannabis is GOOD.
Good for what?
EVERYTHING... Goood...yesssss, my precioussss...
Dementia comes young to those who smoke dope.

My question is: If everyone is wearing masks, how do you pass the joints?

The cannabis they are referring to is not the THC that makes people high.
Time for some education. I don’t use either but I do know the difference.

For those who didn’t read the article:
Researchers from the University of Lethbridge said a study in April showed at least 13 cannabis plants were high in CBD that appeared to affect the ACE2 pathways that the bug uses to access the body.(Snip) hemp extracts high in CBD may help block proteins that provide a “gateway” for COVID-19 to enter host cells.(Snip) cannabis could reduce the virus’ entry points by up to 70 percent. “Therefore, you have more chance to fight it,” he told CTV.
CBD is not the THC that is in the marijuana that is smoked. It is used now for pain relief and other medicinal purposes. No high involved.

If there turns out to be any validity to this, call the strain Chloro-kine.

Marijuana is the gateway to dependency and more deadly drugs. Get a nation “stoned’ and it becomes more pliable—easier to conquer by adversaries of one stripe or another, political or military.
According to one news report published in 2014, George Soros had spent at least $80 billion since 1994 to get marijuana legalized in the U.S. and Uruguay; George Soros and his associates “have been behind every major marijuana legalization push in the U.S.” Another article from 2014, article published in Forbes, reported that, this country, Soros’ “foundation has donated about $200 million to drug reforms since 1994.” The drug-related giving is framed “as a public health concern rather than criminal issue.”
Just because something may be legal, does not mean it is morally permissible—abortion is legal, but that does not mean it is morally permissible according to Scripture's teaching, to God's laws.

Scientists...they are wrong so often, about everything! But by the time we find out...people lose their lives or are cast on the heap of human misery! I trust them slightly more than I do "stars" in hollywood and "reporters"...
