Dallas, Texas salon owner Shelley Luther has become the face of the movement to free the nation from the oppressive lockdowns imposed by despotic governors and mayors.
She is a modern-day Rosa Parks (snip) For defiantly speaking truth to power, Luther appears to have started a new civil rights movement, just as Rosa Parks did decades earlier in the Democrat-dominated Jim Crow South.
Parks refused to yield her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1955.

Not an apt comparison, but nevertheless, an important statement given the lack of backbone shown by the majority of Americans.

Rosa Parks was a staged event complete with photographer. Shelley Luther is the real deal.

A black judge - so into his position and self-importance that he now embodies the uppity privileged house slave who doesn't realize he is still a slave.

And according to Michael Savage; Liberalism is truly a MENTAL disorder. And they just can't be held accountable for have a few screws loose up there in that prejudiced brain.

Go, Shelley. And that judge who tried to bully you . . . ? Somebody tell him that this isn't Cuba or Venezuela, at least not yet. He sounded like a pathetic little troll desperate for power and adulation because he was wearing black robes. This is still America and we support those who stand up for themselves and their employees and their families.

metaphorically speaking (snowflakes google that), the democrat left are all Nazis and the rest of us are all Jews. We are not supposed to challenge, or even question their dictates. Should we be so unrepentant, we must be put into the cattle cars and hauled off to camp!

IMO, this article deserves multiple postings. What a great image this business woman/Mom has given us. ''Judge'' Moye has also shown us who he is.

IMHO, I think that the judge is a racist. If Luther had not been white he would not have done what he did.

I was reading Dallas news sites and in late March the local judges petitioned the state to reduce the jail population due to the threat of Wuhanic Plague which Governor Abbott signed. Is Judge Moye on the petition? If he did and he considered the jail a dangerous health risk then this masked man's sentencing goes from bad to horrific!

Oh please, compare Ms. Luther to someone else like any of our founding fathers, who risked their lives and fortunes to rid us of tyranny and governmental oppression. The racist judge, who started this mess, and Ms. Parks are black. Shelly Luther is white so the judge wanted to make this a race issue and this article just perpetuates the falsehood.

Shelley Luther is Shelley Luther, and like no other. I hate these unnecessary historical comparisons, which are inapplicable, superfluous, and meaningless. Please expunge this device from all writings in the future. Thank you.

Let's be sure to place much of the blame for this Luther Incident squarely on the shoulders of Gov Greg Abbott. It was his executive order allowing for up to 180 days in jail for violating the 'stay at home' order. He should have thought is through before putting that out there. Any time you give law enforcement/courts more power don't be surprised if they use it. The Wuhan Chinese Communist Virus has/was been blown so out of proportion by DeepMedia hysteria since its outset. The flu rears its ugly head every year at this time and thousands die, yet this year it became a political issue moments after the Senate rejected impeachment of Trump. In the meantime, we've let it decimate our economy for no good reason.

Somebody in Texas woke up and saw what would happen when the Luther's case became national news. There were already marches on various statehouses and governors were releasing convicted criminals. Her incarceration and fine could have made for a volatile combination. The judge should be taken to the woodshed.

Had a large tree cut down yesterday. No masks by either the workers or me! They all stated that the whole thing is a scam! Had my property surveyed today. No masks by the worker or myself. No problems. It's time to stop the nonsense. We can't shut down the economy forever like the commie pinkos want.

How fitting that the last name is Luther, as the issue of submitting to authority or speaking what the person believes to be the truth even at great personal risk is the same as it was 500 years ago. Another similarity is that in both cases there were countervailing forces in the political structure to support and indeed elevate the dissident. We are very lucky we do not live in a Fascist society; at least, not yet.
