Brett Kavanaugh was a very difficult Supreme Court nominee for liberals to oppose. He had a stellar reputation, an impeccable record, and a genial disposition. While members of the Resistance held a protest on the steps of the Supreme Court minutes after President Trump announced him as the pick to replace retiring Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy, their early efforts to keep him off the bench showed little promise. All that changed in mid-September 2018, when the Washington Post carefully packaged and presented Christine Blasey Ford’s claim that Kavanaugh had tried to rape her when she was in high school. Whirlwind? What whirlwind? Biden's a well known creep. So he touches women and sniffs their hair? He's avuncular, experienced, and an associate of the Greatest President Ever...or since Bill Clinton. This is going nowhere, even if found in bed with a boy, dead or alive. Yes, it is a double standard...and you knew that.

To be honest, I hope they would give Biden a pass. Why? Because the whole premise of what the dems are doing is wrong. It is trial by mob, something the dems have perfected. It was bad for Kavanaugh and it's bad for Biden. The reality is that such weak or obviously made up cases cannot be used as a bludgeon decades after they supposedly occurred. It is impossible to investigate them in any meaningful way or to discern any just ending. What this would require to be made right is for dems to admit that their TACTICS are wrong and always have been. They could then apologize to Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, and others for using character assassination against them. Then NO ONE, Republican or dem would have to face such garbage. Of course dems will never do this. Therefore, we are forced by their actions to fight with clubs; they bash us, we bash them in self defense and retaliation. This is the political sewer that the dems have created.

Never forget these facts, perfectly presented by the much esteemed Mrs. Hemingway. "Blasey Ford had no evidence she had ever met Kavanaugh, much less that he had tried to rape her. She wasn’t sure about any detail related to the event other than that she had precisely one beer and that Kavanaugh had tried to rape her. She didn’t know how she got to the alleged event, where it was, how she got home, or whose house it was. None of the four witnesses she identified to reporters as having been at the event in question supported her claim." Her charge was a carefully constructed fraud, created with the aid of her retired FBI agent friend, without one single fact which could be refuted. If she had said a date, even a month, these fraud creators couldn't know now if Kavanaugh could prove he spent that whole month in Europe, or Alaska. If they tried to tie it to a particular party at a particular house....guess what, people who were at a REAL party very well might remember that "yeah, Ford was there, but I never even met Kavanaugh, he wasn't there". If she said who drove her - that person may not be willing to lie for her. So - NO FACTS allowed in their phony story, a vague, substance-free accusation which has "no handle" to refute. The perfectly created character smear - especially when the Enemedia repeat these lies a million times. Note how another FBI agent was in on this criminal fraud, too. But, Mrs. Hemingway is right, Biden is being hurt by this. Biden's accuser has a place, and a day, and can prove the she was around Biden and that he DID know her, and it is verified that she told multiple people at the time, pretty hard to set up a fake claim that way without a time machine.

Chances that the 'Democrats' will apologize to Justices Thomas and Kavanaugh are zero. Besides who will do the apologizing? The DNC, the NYT/ WaPo? All female members of the Senate except Susan Collins? Joe will be nominated. There is no turning back.

The most telling point of Ballsey Ford's accusation was that NONE of her friends corroborated her story...in fact several said it didn't happen. SHE MADE IT UP for the sole purpose of keeping Kavanaugh OFF the SCOTUS and the Democrap low lifes were all in!

No matter what happens with Biden and the charges, the dimocrats will do it (create false allegations of sexual impropriety/sexual harassment)again against president Trump's next nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court. And against the one after that. Bank on it. Mika seemed to do a decent job in questioning Old Jo, but she failed to press him on the issue of whether he remembered tara. that's too bad. I want Old Jo to lose badly to DJT, but not because of this late complaint about him. He should lose badly because he is incompetent, and always has been.

I love Mollie Hemingway. But there will be no whirlwind. The fix is in with the media. Now is will fade away. Biden should be hopping mad if he's innocent. If innocent, he should surely question her motives and want a complete investigation to clear himself. He didn't do that. He and the media will now let it fade away. No more questions.

Oh it is a whirlwind indeed. The double standard with regards to Biden has become so brazen, that even Hollywood democrats are turned off by the antics right now. Time for democrats to stand by their words. Do you believe a woman or not? Yes or no democrats. The question is not that hard. After all, that is YOUR party's demand of the voters, amirite? I suspect their problem with this is that Reade is telling the truth, unlike Ford who was making it up as she went along. Even to the point of admitting in an interview once that she could self hypnotize any time she wanted. It was suspected at one point in her testimony that she did do exactly that.

Christine Blasey-Ford may not have even ever met Brett Kavanaugh. The witnesses she named couldn't corroborate her so-called story. Her story had holes so wide you could drive a Mack truck through them. When this party happened, where, how she got there, how she left....all unprovable. Tara Reade worked for Joe Biden. She was in charge of the interns assigned to the Senator. She mentioned being molested to her parents, her friends, her neighbors. They ALL remember it. Her own mother called Larry King to ask for advice!!! What a difference a day makes, when you're a Democrat vs a Republican being accused of sexual assault. One day the MSM reports non stop, the other.....crickets.

Natural gas is withstanding the coronavirus-fueled economic crash in a way that its closely associated relative, oil, isn’t. Oil prices have reached record lows, with the U.S. benchmark oil price briefly dropping below zero last month after trading at around $60 per barrel at the start of 2020. The U.S. natural gas price, meanwhile, is stable, staying below $2 per million British thermal units, or MMBtu, a historically low level it has been hovering at for a while due to a glut produced from the shale boom. Oil producers are shutting in their wells, prompting tens of thousands of layoffs, because the pace of the price collapse was so sudden,

Like most people, I cannot know for sure what actually happened between Joe Biden and Tara Reade many, many moons ago, or, for that matter, what may have once transpired between Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford. No one knows for sure but the individuals (and/or eyewitnesses) themselves, and memories of long-ago encounters may not be sharp — or may become vivid in one person’s recollection and utterly vague in another’s. If I were asked to detail an incident that happened a quarter-century ago, absent serious trauma, I’d be completely stumped. There’s a reason for statutes of limitation. And a reason that in a liberal society an individual

Willie Nelson may be the most important figure in country music history; if he’s not, only Hank Williams matters more. Willie’s also one of the most important musical artists in American history, a first-name-only giant like Elvis and Ella. The contours of the career that brought him to those heights are familiar. There was the huge, early-sixties success writing songs like “Crazy” and “Hello Walls” for big country stars, then the failed attempt to become one himself over the rest of the decade, his talents an ill fit for a stiff Nashville mold.

Three days before Super Bowl LIV in February, a reporter asked what I thought about the coronavirus. Crazy, right? Back then, I had read a little and knew what type of virus it was and that there were a few thousands cases in China. I told the reporter as much, but added that I was trying to focus on football going into the biggest game of my life. As leaders prepared the public for what would turn into widespread shutdowns of business and leisure activities, they made it abundantly clear that the point was to “flatten the curve” of growth in coronavirus cases. That is, when it was clear that the virus could not be contained, the strategy shifted to an effort to space out inevitable infections over a longer period, so there were as few cases as possible at the peak. The idea was to prevent the number of cases from exceeding the capacity of the hospital system and thus saving the system from collapse.

Preparing for a hog hunt is like preparing for the end of the world. You need a reliable rifle and ammunition, of course, but you also need a bunch of other stuff—a sidearm, maps, binoculars, compass, flashlight, knife, raingear, boots, food and water, two-way radios. Once you’re all geared up, you can’t help but think that if the end came, you’d be ready. The feeling is even more intense when you go hog hunting during a global pandemic. It might not be the apocalypse, but when it comes to buying guns and ammo—or toilet paper—it might as well be. I know, because I recently went on a hog hunt in East Texas.

In the world of political reporting on the presidential race, two seemingly divergent stories are taking shape and blowing up, respectively. And it’s the stuff of feminist nightmares. The first is about the “veepstakes”: Because the world is topsy-turvy and former vice-president Joe Biden cleared the Democratic field in March, we’re in an earlier-than-usual frenzy of speculation about who his running mate will be. Biden, who has long been dogged by criticism on feminist grounds (stemming from his history of bad stances on abortion, his having permitted the ill treatment of Anita Hill during the Clarence Thomas hearings, and allegations that he has spent a career touching women

COVID-19, the Wuhan virus, is an epidemiological scourge — but it’s also a clarifying catalyst for American politics. The virus’s relevance for globalization has been widely noted: this disease of Chinese origin has exposed how incapable the de-industrialized West has become of providing its own masks, drugs, and ventilators. It has highlighted the class divide that globalization produces within countries such as America as well. The highly educated professional classes can work from home, and their jobs are relatively secure; the service class, on the other hand — the waiters and cooks and hotel maids and retail clerks and others —

Three states — Arizona (11 electoral votes), Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes), and Wisconsin (10 Electoral votes) — are toss-up states. Trump won all three in 2016, and he has a good chance to win these states again in 2020. Several factors work in Trump’s favor. The scientific education was second to none. Even outside of science, a broad-based humanities program thrived. As an engineering student at CU, my required curriculum included two full years of “Great Books” where we studied Socrates, Homer, Virgil, Chaucer and Milton. But then some interrelated things happened.
