The novel coronavirus pandemic will define the modern era in the same way World War II shaped an earlier generation, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates says in a 11-page memo outlining his ideas on how best to tackle the disease. “This is like a world war, except in this case, we’re all on the same side,” he writes. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has committed $250 million to the battle and Gates has been speaking up regularly to influence its direction — something that has sometimes placed him at odds with President Donald Trump and made him a target of right-wing pundits and conspiracy theorists. Gates’ memo barely mentions politics,

He is a leader & puts his money where is mouth is. But... he says hospitals are overloaded, but in WA many are laying people off.

Bill Gates is not a friend of our Republic. I do not trust him. He is becoming another George Soros because he is a billionaire. They support Socialist agenda for us while they buy MacMansions for themselves all over the world. I guess he expects us to be his servants. He can go fly a kite as far as I am concerned. Probably doesn't know how.

No, Bill Gates, this is more like the precursor to a marxist takeover. Americans have demonstrated how weak we are, and how we have become a nation of followers, not leaders anymore. I don't mention other countries, because they're not US. And, just because Gates gives away a lot of money (per leftists, money he stole from the little people), it doesn't mean he buys being listened to.

Corona virus will define our era? Probably true. One has to ask if what China did with the corona virus is tantamount to an act of war. China has to be held accountable for what they did. Bet Bill Gates would rather we look the other way. Its just as important to define Bill Gates. He is a globalista that has benefited immensely from the open of China. Bill Gates is out for Bill Gates. Not the United States. Most likely, he is protecting his investments in China. and elsewhere. It will be interesting to see what he does with his money. Most likely we won't know because he isn't all that open with his own business practices.

I'm 99% sure I had this stuff in mid-March. Had coughing spells, stomach issues (up and down) for days and couldn't eat much more than soup a couple of times a day. But pain? What pain? I've had other viruses that were worse although not one that lasted so long. I'm fine now. I do want to get tested when this is all over. I didn't realize what it might have been until a couple of days after it was over and I was reading symptoms from others who had it. Then the bell rang! And I'm an old timer. Gates is a scary man. I had no idea how dangerous he is. He must stand to make even more kabillions off this virus and the collapse of the world economy.

No, it will not. No virus is going to define me or my era. I really do not like Bill Gates. Mr. Gates is way out of his depths in his new pursuits, acting as if he represents those who have not elected him, or even know him. Microsoft is well to be rid of him, the new CEO taking them to new heights---but I don't want him either, especially for medical advice, shackling my freedom, or tracking my movements and decisions.

When you think of it, it's nothing short of incredible that Joe Biden is the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party. One might have thought 2016 would have been Biden's year (if he was ever going to have a time at bat), since Barack Obama's two-term presidency had just ended, and most vice presidents who try for the top spot do so immediately following their bosses' departures. But, as is often the case in politics these days, party nominees can result from when the party decides it's someone's "turn." That was the case the last go-around: the Democrats decided that it was Hillary's turn,
