The US National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded bat-coronavirus research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China to the tune of US$3.7 million, a recent article in the British newspaper Daily Mail revealed.
Back in October 2014, the US government had placed a federal moratorium on gain-of-function (GOF) research – altering natural pathogens to make them more deadly and infectious – as a result of rising fears about a possible pandemic caused by an accidental or deliberate release of these genetically engineered monster germs.(Snip)
Dr Anthony Fauci(Snip) outsourced in 2015 the GOF research to China’s Wuhan lab and licensed the lab to continue receiving US government funding.

Well, well. It seems the estimable Dr. Fauci really stepped in it this time. Needless to say, we paid for China´s reckless behavior that came back to bite us. Oh, in December China started scooping any and all PPE they could get their grubby hands on; they are now selling it at a huge profit.
Americans will never look upon China in the same way again.

So this could logically be all laid back at the feet of Fauci? Why do I suddenly feel like cackling like a loon at the mention of this involvement of this little runt?

I think it's time for Trump to cut loose his Team! ALL of them! He needs to try and bring this country back to what it was before this Virus. I personally don't think we shouldn't have shut down the country, but that's just me! He let Fauci and the Scarf Lady run the Country for two months now, and look where it has taken us. I think Trump, in the back of his mind, didn't want to shut the Country down, but he knew if he didn't, the Democrats would crucify him! Now it' time for The President to use his very good instincts to make America great...again! We're with him all the way!

fta: As such in October 2014, because of public health concerns, the US government banned all federal funding on efforts to weaponize three viruses – influenza, Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
In the face of a moratorium in the US, Dr Anthony Fauci – the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and currently the leading doctor in the US Coronavirus Task Force – outsourced in 2015 the GOF research to China’s Wuhan lab and licensed the lab to continue receiving US government funding.
China doing Fauci's bidding. Fauci and the funding he secured for Wuhan may very well be the reason this virus exists.

Let me see. Millions from taxpayers to China to research bat flu. How many more millions to China to research chicken v egg syndrome and yet more millions to China for reasons we need a gov department to think up more reasons so Slow Joe's genius kid can run a multi-BILLION dollar Chinese hedge fund with an appropriate commission attached. Don't get me wrong. They mostly ALL do it.
MAGA primary every one of the existing congress out. No More Incumbents in congress for the next 12 years.
Vote the None of the Above party and we'll sort em out later.

I have had an instinctive distrust of Fauci from the moment he stepped on the national stage. Now it appears that this clown's fingerprints are all over this mess.

So, is the real takeaway that we've been funding the Chinese to develop biological weaponry? Since 2014?

Manufacturing was too dangerous and caused pollution so we sent it to China. Let them get hurt, let them choke on smog. Playing with Bat Bugs st too dangerous, what's a few thousand dead Chinese let them do it.
Remember when China blamed us, hmmmm could be an element of truth.

This author is a clear anti-USA, pro-China propagandist. After just reading the headlines of her other articles, I won't even bother to read this screed.
ChiCom propagandist, clearly.

I notice they dont seem to mention this was on Obama's watch.
Obama gave us Wuhan, Clinton gave us Osama Bin Laden.
Notice Democrats breed disasters. Even Katrina wouldn't have been so bad if the Democrat Governor of Louisianna and the Mayor of New Orleans hadn't been trying to one up Bush. And Shrillary with our consular branch in Libya.
And they ALWAYS with the help of the Media, try to blame someone else.

First, leave the bats alone. Second, quit sending China millions to bother the bats, and develop bioweapons to unleash on us. I don't get Trump shutting this economy down. That was a huge mistake. Get rid of Fauci!

Before scientists started playing with bat viruses, how common or likely was it for human beings to be infected with them? If it weren't common or likely, why play with bat viruses in the first place?

More for the doubters from April 11:
The Chinese laboratory at the center of scrutiny over a potential coronavirus leak has been using U.S. government money to carry out research on bats from the caves which scientists believe are the original source of the deadly outbreak.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology undertook coronavirus experiments on mammals captured more than 1,000 miles away in Yunnan which were funded by a $3.7 million grant from the US government.
Sequencing of the COVID-19 genome has traced it back to bats found in Yunnan caves but it was first thought to have transferred to humans at an animal market in Wuhan.

If the doubters spent half as much time looking for facts as they do posting cynical replies, it would be an almost perfect world...

Yes, there was research funded in Wuhan. But beware, that authoress is a ChiCom propagandist. And considering DM a reliable source is not an error that I will make.

In other words, when you get to the bottom line, back in 2014 the Obama-Biden Administration with Dr. Fauci running the National Institute of Health (NIH) recognized that bat virus research was inherently dangerous in that a probable very contagious virus stemming from such research could escape from a laboratory in the USA, causing a possible epidemic. Therefore, the US Government banned bat virus experiments in the USA. Dr. Fauci then funded the Chinese Laboratory at Wuhan, so they could continue to conduct bat virus experiments. So it looks like what the Obama-Biden Administration, and especially Fauci, knew back in 2014 concerning a possible escape of a bat related corona virus has now occurred at the Wuhan laboratory.
So what was the Democrats and Joseph Biden’s immediate response to President Trump’s quickly ordered “Travel Ban” back in January that involved stopping many thousands of possibly infected foreigners from China entering the USA, where they could have seeded innumerable Americans with the virus? The Democrats immediately called Trump a racist, and a xenophobe, and have since blamed Trump for allowing the virus to be imported into the USA, and absolutely that the American people should dump Trump and elect Biden so things can get back to “normal”. Give us a break!
