Former President Bill Clinton signed an order preventing the CIA from organizing a kill operation against al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, according to a new documentary. The revelation is discussed by former CIA station chief Bob Grenier in the new Showtime documentary The Longest War, which was released Tuesday. Grenier, who was based in Islamabad, Pakistan, explained that the agency was permitted to engage in “lethal activity” against the terrorist leader but could not perform a strike with the explicit purpose of killing him. “We were being asked to remove this threat to the United States essentially with one hand tied behind our backs,”

I'm still surprised that obongo allowed the Seals to do the job they did on him. Clintoon and his cabal (Reno and Holder) were too concerned with giving bin Laden a trial (and the security nightmare that it would have brought to downtown Manhattan). Still, I hope that before they dumped him in the drink, the Navy put a pound of bacon in the shroud so he had a snack to take with him on his way to his rendezvous with his virgins.

#8, the television presentation of "The Path to 9/11" WAS pulled after just one showing on ABC network. I had to order my copy from Canada in order to see it again, since I only had an off-air VHS copy with commercials on VHS. There are just some things that are kept from us-- Like BJ Clinton, NOBAMA had Osama corned more than once, but he protected him until it was becoming obvious that he could not let him get away AGAIN.

I recall that during the same time period during which Clinton found time for nine private meetings with Lewinski, he declined a meeting request by the CIA chief at least a half-dozen times. Now tell me the private-life-morality of an elected official has no bearing on his conduct of his public office.

On the contrary #3, OBL was on a lot of radars before 9/11. The 93 bombing of the World Trade Center and the attack on the USS Cole put him there. There are special places in hell for Bill and his wife. What would the world be like? My stepson would still be alive since he didn't go to Iraq. I'd probably be a grandmother. Countless servicemen wouldn't have lost their lives and limbs. Many in the NYPD and NYFD would still be alive for starts.

Go back in history and read the newspapers of the time. The Clinton Administration was more focused on suing Bill Gates and Microsoft over the monopoly of Internet Explorer bundled with Windows 98 than they were in finding a heinous scum terrorist and vaporizing him.

The interaction with Bin Laden and BJ Clinton went back to the time in 1996 when Sudanese dictator al-Bashiri offered to turn Bin Laden over to the US. Bin Laden and Egyptian Islamic Jihad operating out of Sudan had tried to whack Hosni Mubarak and al Bashiri felt pressure from neighboring countries. It is then that Clinton likely scribbled something in the Presidential daily Briefing margin to his National Security Adviser Sandy Berger to the effect that rather than take Bin Laden into custody, they could sweat him for a large chunk of cash. These documents with BJ margin notes were what Berger and Clinton were worried enough about to send Berger into the National Archives -twice- to steal and destroy before the 9-11 Commission got hold of them.

#15, I may have made a too dismissive statement about OBL, but I will say he was - as far as publicly known - barely a blip on the radar. Both the Cole bombing and the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center were attributed to different people in the immediate sense. Very often we take an interest in hindsight to these early events to realize the full Order of Battle of our adversaries. Grenier as station chief in Islamabad, would know OBL from the Soviet War in Afghanistan. But honestly, who would have realized the significance of an ethnic Yemeni who was a cashiered Saudi engineer and banished from the kingdom to the caves of Afghanistan rapidly establishing a global terror group? This is just me, but to this day I think the guy was a convenient figurehead for something or someone much larger. JMO.

I doubt there is a single individual target of consequence they would approve of terminating. I take that back. They'd assassinate Trump if they could get away with it. Probably McConnell too. [And before the haters pounce, Bin Laden was the exception that proves the rule. It isn't that Obama wanted OBL dead, it's that Obama couldn't survive politically if he could, but refused to, take OBL out and word of his decision leaked.]

John Brennan was station chief in Saudi Arabia when Clinton was in the WH. Seems that Brennan overrode the embassy denial of visas to all those hijackers and let them come into the country. It is all starting to come out now, how Clinton's WH may have been ground zero for the hijackers to be able to form their terrorist plot in the US. Clinton is a loathsome animal, and he has a very special judgment coming some day for what he allowed to harm this nation during his presidency.
