Here's something that ought to kill off the snitching programs set up around the country by local governments to finger local businesses still open in the name of combatting the coronavirus: According to GatewayPundit: Talk radio great Jamie Allman filed a Sunshine law request for the actual emails of St. Louis County residents who've snitched on local entrepreneurs trying to make a living. Most of the complaints were unfounded, involving people "turning in" companies that were deemed essential by the county. Sure enough, he got them. Here. Apparently, some crummy little bureaucrat in the bowels of St. Louis's government went ahead and sent them to the clever shock jock

One of the consequences of not teaching history is that people don't know what happened to informers and collaborators in Europe after World War 2. They're fixing to find out.

Two points -
"Lives of Others" is mentioned, a film about East German oppression. Find this excellent film, maybe the best ending in movie history.

Kim Strassel at the WSJ mentioned on one of the FOX shows last night that she reported the homeless not properly social distancing in their new hovels in the NY Subways. Comrade DiBlasio's secret police are fining scofflaws up to a grand for breaking his edict.
Of course, that only holds for scofflaws where Wilhelm the Bully can actually get a thousand bucks. You know, businesses large and small, and the taxpaying populace. Kim mentioned that the NYC Snitches Line finally referred her to the NYC Subway authority who referred her to the NYC Police Department.
Bureaucratic Bungling remains in force in Boss DiBlasio's fiefdom!

Perhaps the most egregious ones could be singled out and shared far and wide. We could give them a Dr. Seuss headline: The Star-Bellied Snitches
I'm a small business owner. Hopefully the ones snitching on their own employers can be cut loose from their tyrannical oppressors. Although, that would mean seemingly endless unemployment compensation that also must be borne by the men/women who had the temerity to attempt to build something of value in the first place.

Obedient little government serfs, aren't they? Of course, they had no motive other than to protect the health of their St. Louis neighbors. Pure altruism (cough!). Perhaps the most egregious ones could be singled out and shared far and wide, for a taste of their own shaming medicine. We could give it a Dr. Seuss headline: The Star-Bellied Snitches.

I like ones ones asking to remain anonymous, especially the guy ratting out his boss.

Well, that’s another way to erode public and community trust. Unfortunately the phrase: ‘snitches get stitches’ comes to mind.

It's very discouraging that so many people are ready and willing to report their fellow citizens, neighbors and relatives. They are more than ready to run and ruin the lives of others.
Dictators use it. Fidel Castro had notorious Neighborhood Committees, for example.
It's also shocking that these leftist politicians leap to this technique. Pols like NYC Mayor De Blasio and LA Mayor Garcetti.
But we shouldn't be shocked. They are leftists, showing their true colors.

Snitches get stitches. I wonder if when some of these snitches turn up in the ER with busted knee caps the authorities will lump them in with the COVID-19 statistics.

The technical name for these snitches is "Pavlik Morozov." Also look up "J’irai le dire a la Kommandantur."

Kim Strassel from WSJ was on one of the FNC shows last night. Comrade DiBlasio has his brown shirts looking for snitches so he can fine them up to a grand for violating his edicts.
So Kim noticed that a lot of the homless vagrants have taken refuge in the NYC subways and are not following the prescribed dictates of Wilhelm the Bully about sanitation and social distancing. So she reported it to the Snitch Line waiting for the DiBlasio Rapid Response Seal Team 6 to swoop down and fine those miscreants.
After awhile, she finally got an email from the Snitch Line, telling her that the responsibility for the bums in the Subway was the NYC Subway authority who pointed the fickle finger of responsibility at the NYC Police.
In other words, Kaiser DiBlasio knew he had no chance of banking a few easy grands from the homeless. But woe be to the businessman, small or large, who has a minor violation (5.5 feet distancing) or some hapless taxpayer in line at the grocery store.
And it's great to see that bureaucratic passing-the-buck hasn't gone out of style even with the pestilencces of the day.

"Please don't reveal my name". And the form said it was public information! Stupid Karens!
The phrase "you ratted me out" comes from what informers and snitches are - rats. I don't think this is specific to a particular political party - Dems and Pubs have Karens.

I hope the site techs will figure out why the site "locks up" for a while periodically.
You post, it says it is taken. But it doesn't show up. So, you think "Hmm, how did
I screw that up?" and repost....which doesn't show up either.
After hour or two or six, suddenly all the posts show up, and there are duplicates.
I did that last week, saw it lock up about 1:18 CST, and made a few posts and then
just left, pretty sure they would eventually show up. And they have.
Life goes on.

Triplicate posts unexplainable. First didn't go through, I tried two other sources, they didn't show up either. Things have been unpredictable here lately.

Forget about shaming Democrats. They have none. We need a lot more than shaming.

Hahahaha! Those of you in St. Louis should disseminate this piece and the list of snitches far and wide. (Those of you not in St. Louis should do the same.)
