Portland cops using Alinsky tactics on rioters

Here is one more reason to respect and love the brave men and women of the Portland Police Bureau, standing up for 72 straight nights of riots destroying the formerly lovely downtown of Oregon’s largest city. They have not only kept their sense of humor, one among them is applying Alinsky’s tactics to the thugs. Watch and listen to the video in this tweet: Male PPB officers detaining a female protestor and patting her down w/ no female officers present. I asked if they had a female officer to do patdown, one responded by “nope” the other said, “how do you know I don’t identify as a female?”

The policemen I know take their jobs very seriously. I would surely like to meet this one. He seems to have what it takes, the right stuff, firm grasp or whatever you need to call it. IMO, people who become first responders are called to the work as surely as are pastors and missionaries.

The police alone are called upon to do things nobody else is amongst a city’s government structure. Those who went into it as a calling have a special steel to work in today’s big cities - blue or red or purple politically. As Rush says, the left has no sense of humor. God bless the Portland police for outsmarting these politically-correct thugs! He surely answers the prayers of all those praying for Portland and their fine police officers.

And here's the best part. If the rioter complains about being patted down by a male cop, she can be cited for a hate crime for denying the cop's sexual identity.

Typical lifson nonsense. One comment, witty though it is, now suggests cops are using alinsky tactics? I guess lifson had nothing else to write about so he just makes stuff up.

In the last couple of weeks we have witnessed people, most of them white, kneeling before black protestors and activists as a supposed gesture of repentance for their crimes of “white privilege” and tolerating “systemic racism.” The kneeling penitents include not just ordinary people, but police officers, National Guardsmen, and, in a shocking self-debasement of the world’s greatest democratic republic, a gaggle of House Representatives adorned with “culturally appropriated” African kente cloth scarves. White progressive racial masochism is nothing new; Tom Wolfe skewered it brilliantly nearly a half century ago in essays like “Mau-Mauing the Flak-Catchers.” But the current manifestation is more significant and dangerous. It has taken place

The Washington Post reported that the “recordings of private phone calls between former vice president Joe Biden and former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko” were “a new broadside against the presumptive Democratic nominee for U.S. president.”

Here's something that ought to kill off the snitching programs set up around the country by local governments to finger local businesses still open in the name of combatting the coronavirus: According to GatewayPundit: Talk radio great Jamie Allman filed a Sunshine law request for the actual emails of St. Louis County residents who've snitched on local entrepreneurs trying to make a living. Most of the complaints were unfounded, involving people "turning in" companies that were deemed essential by the county. Sure enough, he got them. Here. Apparently, some crummy little bureaucrat in the bowels of St. Louis's government went ahead and sent them to the clever shock jock

Here is what Jesus says about the ruling class of his day. He said this after he entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, shortly after he overturned the tables of the money-changers: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.” There can be a spirit of ugliness that inhabits a ruling class, let’s call it pharisaical hardness. When that spirit of ugliness rears its head, it deserves confrontation -- Jesus made that quite clear.

This past weekend, I and many of my colleagues received the shocking news that famed Obama administration DHS whistleblower Phil Haney had died. My first indication was a text from a friend late Friday night: "Sorry so late but I am hearing Phil Haney has been killed." I had received something earlier in the evening, but the person texting had thought it was a joke. It was no joke. Phil Haney, a long-term colleague and person I had come to know personally, had been shot dead. Rumors from friends contained many inaccuracies, like "he had been missing for days," "found in a remote area," etc.

Democrats in the House of Representatives voted on Wednesday against an amendment to a proposed bill that would prevent the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from forcing credit reporting agencies to evaluate Americans based on political opinions or religious beliefs. Without such an amendment, Republicans warn, the powerful CFPB would have the legal authority to make nearly any criteria mandatory for a private credit evaluation company to take into consideration, paving the way for a system in which the federal government has the power to assign numerical scores to individuals based on their loyalty to a certain political party, membership in civil society groups that

"They want some other entertainment, and they don't necessarily want to go all the way to D.C. or Baltimore for it." Drag shows aren't totally new to the county. Tarbender's Lounge in

I didn’t set out to compost Sean Hannity. It was something I settled on after considering several other options and rejecting them one by one. The first was leaving him in the basement indefinitely. I should explain: I don’t mean the man himself, but Hannity the book. Writing on the 1984 vice presidential candidacy of Geraldine Ferraro ahead of Joe Biden's announcement of a female running mate, Dowd in a Saturday column wrote that it had been "36 years since a man and a woman ran together on a Democratic Party ticket." That claim ignored the 2016 presidential election,
