Yesterday’s Washington Post carried an attack on South Dakota and its governor, Kristi Noem, under the headline South Dakota’s Governor resisted ordering people to stay home. Now it has one of the nation’s largest coronavirus hot spots. The Post’s article is popular on Twitter, as liberal “blue checks” use it to express their hope that lots of South Dakotans die as punishment for their temerity in electing a Republican governor.
As governors across the country fell into line in recent weeks, South Dakota’s top elected leader stood firm: There would be no statewide order to stay home.

It makes perfect sense. Over ninety percent of the people in South Dakota probably can't see their neighbor's house so why stay home? Better to have relaxed behavior than to live under that incompetent dunce in Michigan.

And the story entirely omits the huge trial of hydroxychloroquine that Gov. Noem and Pres. Trump are planning. The left will hate it when this scientific trial shows the efficacy of the drug. A.G. Bill Barr called it a jihad and that's what it is. The left is perfectly happy for hundreds of thousands of Americans to die and for the epidemic to go on for years because it was Trump who announced the remedy for the virus.

I gave up on the Washington Post years ago. Despite being my hometown paper, I pay it zero attention. It isn't journalism, it's the club newsletter for the DNC.

Nailed it, #2.
I used to live in the DC suburbs and way back in the late 80’s I walked into the Walmart in Frederick, MD. There was a table set up in the entrance with a couple of guys offering subscriptions to the Compost. They asked me if I wanted to subscribe and as I was walking by I asked, “Why would I want to spend money on that leftist rag?” I left them sitting there with their mouths agape. And that was over 30 years ago.

Going forward, the presumption should be that everything the WaaPoo, Slimes, and media in general post is a lying smear. What would be news is if they actually (accidentally?) posted a truthful story.
It is very interesting to hear the rest of the story that was deliberately left out behind the story. I suspect that getting the Country back to work will look very similar to the Smithfield model. Of course the media will never report that either.

I believe that the plant is owned by the Chinese. I do not mean to sound racist, but would there possibly be some connection between the number of workers afflicted and that fact. Perhaps upper management traveling back and forth? Obviously, I am just guessing, but it could be true, and I am happy to learn how well they are now protecting those who work in the plant.

What changed? At least one pork slaughterhouse had to shut down due to C-19 getting into their staff. Due to the number of folks in SD, the numbers changed and made it look bad when the "hot spot" was only at one high concentration of people. More BS from the WP.

Yesterday morning, on Fox and Friends, Ainsley (sp?)the female co-host asked the governor about the Smithfield plant. It closed down, due to the Chinese virus. She asked if the governor felt ''responsible'' for the potential shortage of meat for the market, since she didn't mandate a shutdown and stay at home order.
I'm sure the governor had a few thoughts on how to respond, such as: ''Duh, the meat supply would also have been affected if I had done that!''
I don't know if Ainsley came up with that question herself, or if it was fed to her by a producer, but she should have been smart enough to think that one through! It makes me wonder how smart she is.

Yep, shame on you, WaPo and Griffe Witte for writing such total garbage. You disgust once again. No surprise that you carefully chose to leave out the details that would have shot holes in your TDS-driven intent to smear Gov. Noem.

South Dakota has 988 cases and 6 deaths. It is still near the bottom. Yet they call it a 'hot spot'. Beginning to wonder if the media has co-opted that term.

One good thing that may come from all of this is that the media has put their bias on full display. The were for chloroquine before they were against it, they were for going on with business as usual before they were against it. Their bias is so bad they actually did a complete about face in one article by changing the content to fit their narrative. Anyone who doesn't recognize media bias hasn't been paying attention.

Poster #14- It seems most liberals are either for something before they are against it, or are against something before they are for it. The biggest catalyst for change is President Trump.

#6, I have done pretty much that same thing with a guy set up in a store trying to sell subscriptions to our equally leftist rag, The Kansas City Star. Known as the Red Star around here by conservatives.
S. Dakota did well. The plant is probably staffed mostly by illegals, living 20 to a single family home, and THAT is where they got the disease, in those illegal alien dens.

Kristi is a silent Republican and the most impressive, plus she's smart. She's a true role model who is more interested in positive results for her constituents than a headline or what a third rate ignoramus writer from WAPO has to say.
She's one of the strongest Republican women leaders we have. I expect big things from Kristi. Watch out for her.

The outbreaks of COVID-19 cases in the upper Midwest are clustered among the workers in the densely populated meat packing plants where workers do their jobs in close proximity to each other. In some of those plants about 50% of the workforce could easily be made up of illegal aliens who got their jobs by falsely claiming to be US citizens or legal immigrants by presenting false or fraudulent identification and work authorization documents to their employers. Besides SD, there is a big COVID-19 outbreak among meat packing workers at a big plant at Grand Island, NE, that is owned by Brazilian interests.
Those meat packing workers, even many who are legitimately legal immigrants, live in residences, houses and apartments packed with large families and many other foreign origin people. To believe that even the majority of those workers, when home or in community businesses are following CDC guidelines is fool’s gold. Just as a sideline the biggest meat (pork) processing plant in SD, is the Smithfield plant at Sioux Falls, the one that the media is featuring as shutting down, is owned by you guessed it, the Chinese Communists who bought out Smithfield Foods during the Obama-Biden era.

Poster #8 above hit upon it ... and both the Compost and this article writer ignored it.
In September 2013 Smithfield Foods was acquired by China’s biggest meat processor, Shuanghui International Holdings, in the largest acquisition ever of a U.S. company by a Chinese one — a deal that raised concerns in America about a Chinese food company’s controlling a major U.S. meat supplier.
It is common knowledge that many workers in U.S. slaughterhouses now throughout Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, the Dakotas, etc. are Asians. In some cases, 80% of the work force. They don't just come from China either, but Viet Nam, Cambodia, Thailand, the Philippines, etc. I have no solid proof but I'll wager some of the workers and probably some managers at this plant returned from China in the last two months. Once introduced into the factory, the Chinese flu spread just like the "experts" all said it would. Simple as that.

FTA: "Its agenda is obvious to all: elect Joe Biden!"
The Bezos Post's goal isn't specifically to elect Biden, but to get rid of Trump (and Biden is currently positioned as his election opponent).
Since the GOP nominated Trump in 2016, the Triumvirate of Tripe (NYT, WaPo, and CNN) have issued a continual stream of DAILY anti-Trump hit pieces, which have usually been mainstream news stories spun enough to make their audience dizzy, and occasionally exclusives that were outright fabrications (when nothing could be spun into a hit piece). As soon as I recognized this, I have approached every story from those three with the expectation that it's probably not true. In the past 4 years I don't think they've varied from that more than 3 or 4 days out of nearly 1400.)
So this Compost smear of Governor Noem, the State of South Dakota, and President Trump is truly "about par for the course". So for Hinderaker and Power Line to make a big deal out of it is akin to the Left acting surprised by the big retail downturn after most retailers were ordered shut to comply with "shelter in place", and consumers were ordered to stay home for "social distancing"...
