Pelosi reluctant to embrace remote
voting in House: 'We aren't there yet'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday the House of Representatives won't implement remote voting anytime soon despite growing concern from bipartisan members that in-person voting is dangerous given the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
"Our rules are our best protection," Pelosi told reporters Thursday when asked about modifying how the House votes. "... If the rules need to be changed, that has to be done carefully."

Comments:

Now wait a second. It's ok, if not demanded that we mail/internet/phone OUR votes in, but when it's her vote, now it's a big security deal.

Remote Voting = Obamacare Redux. It is good enough for the general public, but not for the Congress. Got it.

Now I may safely assume there is no danger whatever to meeting together in groups greater than ten people since these desiccated old farts dare bring their august bodies into an assembly hall for the purpose of screwing us over once again. Gimme my hat; I'm going to church Sunday!

Nasty Nancy knows voting in person with ID makes it more difficult to cheat....that's why she supports citizens voting by mail and ballot harvesting, but the House needs to vote in person.

In the House, there is a history of arm twisting by the Speaker. who could forget Dennis the homosexual pedophile Hastert, and the Medicare Part D vote?? how many hours were extended for that vote? The Speaker needs the members for hands on, or in Denny hastert's case, perhaps something else, but arms and other body parts have to be twisted. It is the sausage making part of legislating.

Article 1 Section 5 of THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION requires a QUORUM for either house to conduct business. Rep Massie is not a "grand stander" but a patriot. The Constitution says nothing about how the quorum can be met so it has to be assumed as in person. If they wish to vary from the Constitution then an AMENDMENT is required to clarify. These bipartisan self important "servants of the people" cowards expect ESSENTIAL peon employees to show up for work, so I reckon they are not essential

Nancy Nero Pignasty sets fire to the country and laughs and blames someone else while it burns to the ground. Anything to screw this country out of it's Constitution and civil liberties. The day next January after the new Members are sworn in and she hands the gavel back to the new Republican Speaker of the House should be a National Day of Prayer and thanks to God for his many blessings.

Medicare Part B premiums and deductibles for outpatient care will increase in 2020. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced the new 2020 rates Friday. For about 70% of Medicare beneficiaries, the premiums will rise nearly 7% to $144.60 a month, up from $135.50 in 2019. The $9.10 monthly increase follows a smaller $1.50 rise this year. Upper-income retirees pay higher premiums and those rates also are going up. The annual deductible for Part B coverage, which covers doctor visits and outpatient care, also will go up by 7% to $198 in 2020, an increase of $13 from the annual deductible of $185 in 2019.

An American Airlines mechanic accused of sabotaging an airplane in Miami this July reportedly had Islamic State-sponsored video content on his personal phone. Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani was accused earlier this month of inserting an object into the navigational system of the airplane that would tamper with airspeed readings. The plane detected the mechanical error shortly before taking off from Miami to the Bahamas and was promptly taken out of service, forcing 150 passengers to deplane and seek out other methods of travel.

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
