Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. It’s time for the brightest in business to use the bulging billions on their balance sheets to help save the US economy.A consortium of Apple, Warren Buffett and JPMorgan need to lead us out of this mess by pooling $200 billion and leveraging resources for the good of the country — plus end up with a profit. If they do, they will go down in history as the rare geniuses who acted in a time of need, actually doing “God’s work” and Making America Work Again (MAWA).Apple, which has $207 billion in cash on hand, should suspend its stock buyback and put its cash

It’s lucky I’m being such a good American and sheltering at home.(Snip)Can you imagine if an aging swamp creature like Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden were our president right now? Hillary would have appointed Bill head of the Coronavirus Task Force in February and he’d still be out in Las Vegas interviewing show girls for his staff. Before he took any action, to appease the AOC-Sanders wing of his party, Biden would form an ethnically diverse, politically correct and perfectly color-balanced 35-person commission composed of union bosses, Yale law professors, illegal immigrants, Nation magazine editorial writers and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scarborough.

The New York Times has issued several corrections regarding an article published two weeks ago insisting Attkisson was a “coronavirus doubter.” After the article was published, Attkisson and her lawyers sent a letter to the Times demanding they correct their story or face a defamation lawsuit. The Times article was about five people, including Jerry Falwell Jr. and Dr. Drew, who doubted the severity of the coronavirus. As Attkisson’s attorneys stated in their letter, the Times’ article included “false and defamatory” statements regarding the ex-CBS journalist’s reporting on the coronavirus.

Researchers in Australia report that Ivermectin, an FDA-approved drug commonly used to treat parasites, appears to be effective in treating the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus (COVID-19). The drug is widely available and can be “repurposed” for this application, doctors said.
The ScienceDirect journal, Antiviral Research, published an article by a group of Australian researchers from Monash University in Melbourne reporting that Ivermectin appears to be effective at inhibiting the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
The article states:
Ivermectin is an inhibitor of the COVID-19 causative virus (SARS-CoV-2) in vitro.
A single treatment able to effect ∼5000-fold reduction in virus at 48h in cell culture.
Ivermectin is FDA-approved for parasitic infections, and therefore has a potential for repurposing.

The declaration comes just days after Sisolak wrote President Donald Trump a 41-page letter outlining Nevada’s response to the pandemic, and the unprecedented havoc COVID-19 was expected to cause on the state. As of this morning, COVID-19 had 1,742 confirmed infections in Nevada with 45 deaths, most of them reported in Clark County, where the virus had infected 1,418 and killed 41, according to the Southern Nevada Health District.

That's the guy who changed the rules to accommodate the so-called whistleblower, with zero firsthand knowledge, to file his whistleblowings about President Trump with Adam Schiff's House Intelligence Committee staff, planning it all out beforehand, in order to open the gates to impeachment. Until Atkinson came along, a whistleblower needed to have firsthand knowledge of official wrongdoing, not water-cooler talk from fellow malcontents in the Deep State

For three years, small-business optimism has been at record highs. Lower taxes and fewer regulations unleashed the best economy in half a century and gave small businesses the means to hire more employees, pay higher wages, and reinvest capital. These conditions still exist but are being seriously challenged by the coronavirus pandemic, a true "black swan" catastrophe. While our nation continues to fight against this pandemic, we have a responsibility in Congress to help small businesses survive this storm.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, democratic governments across the world have implemented unprecedented peacetime lockdowns. One California city is even using night vision equipped drones — made in China, ironically — to enforce it. A city in Washington encourages citizens to snitch on those who violate the “stay home” order.
Let’s pause a moment to consider the serious ramifications of what we are doing.
To combat a virus, some state and local governments have ordered everyone, including perfectly healthy people, to stay home for an undefined period of time. Travel has been curtailed. Americans abroad (like me) are stuck, not knowing when we can return home.

House Democrats' proposed additions to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act included changes to election law that would provide cover for individuals and activists yearning for federal protection for voting fraud schemes that could include military ballot manipulation.

They are engaged in panic-mongering. They are encouraging the wholesale destruction of the American economy. The worst are hoping and wishing for that outcome.

Durham, selected by Attorney General William Barr last year to lead this inquiry, drove to Washington, D.C., in March to ensure the investigation stayed on track during the coronavirus outbreak. The top Connecticut federal prosecutor is looking into highly sensitive issues, including whether Brennan took politicized actions to pressure the rest of the intelligence community to match his conclusions about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s motivations, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal.

Newsom first bragged about the state's healthcare coverage for illegal aliens before explaining how his administration is now helping illegal alien small business owners obtain grants while a large part of the American economy remains shut down.

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D., S.C.) on Friday defended his previous claim that coronavirus is a "tremendous opportunity" to advance Democratic policy goals.
"I find it kind of interesting that one of my colleagues said he has a problem with me because I'm a ‘restructure government' person," Clyburn told Roll Call. "Yes, Jim Clyburn is a restructuring government guy and everybody with any common sense, and looking at where we are today, needs to be a restructuring government person."

Anthony Fauci, the medical professional at the eye of the coronavirus storm, has just come out and said the federal government should issue a national order for all Americans to stay home, stay inside, stay put.
Is he nuts?
Let’s rephrase: He’s nuts. On CNN, Fauci was asked by host Anderson Cooper, “Knowing the science, does it make sense to you that some states are still not issuing stay-at-home orders? I mean, whether there should be a federally mandated directive for that or not, I guess that’s more of a political question, but just scientifically, doesn’t everybody have to be on the same page with this stuff?”
And Fauci said — yep.

Joe Biden disclosed Friday evening he has told his Democratic rival Bernie Sanders that he is moving forward with cabinet and vice presidential picks.
Biden told donors at a virtual fundraising event his campaign is to unveil a committee to vet potential vice presidential candidates “sometime in the middle of the month," and said he has held discussions with others about potential cabinet positions.
"One of the things I learned a long time ago, and I really mean this, a good leader has to be willing to have people that are smarter than them, know more than they know about a subject, bring in people who in fact have an expertise

Maine's Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols has a strong message for the Governor of Maine, Janet Mills, who issued "stay-at-home" orders with threats of police punishment if not followed. Sheriff Nichols issued a statement on the Franklin County Facebook page saying in no uncertain terms he will not follow the unconstitutional order.
"We will not be setting up a Police State. PERIOD," he wrote. "The Sheriff’s Office will not purposefully go out and stop vehicles because they are on the road or stop and ask why people are out and about. To do so puts our officers at risk.

I imagine there are some people who love New York City more than I do, but I do love it. I love it with fervor of the convert. A Philadelphian by birth, for 20 years I have now walked the storied steel canyons of the world’s current capital.
There’s a reason the United Nations meets here, why artists and would-be stock barons alike come here. Now we are in the grip of the coronavirus, locked down. But our peril must not mean that the nation we represent must be destroyed.
I had occasion this week, as the virus ground us all to a stop, to talk to a friend in Indiana.

One persistent prediction arising from our pandemic house arrest is that we’ll have a baby boom in nine months. There are good reasons to doubt this.
Sure, people are going to do things to pass the time. Makin’ whoopee is one of those things and, all things being equal, more sex means more babies. We should see a slight uptick in births from this national downtime. Yet the increase in babies will likely be a slight uptick only.
Before coronavirus measures cratered the U.S. economy, Americans were doing extraordinarily well. The stock market was going gangbusters. We were about as close to full employment is it is possible to get.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth, they say, though when Mayor Bill de Blasio is on hand, the other end of the animal is usually involved.
Gotham’s chief executive this week might have accepted with some grace an offer of assistance from a crisis-tested, and devoutly Christian, emergency-relief organization — but he gave it the fisheye instead.
It seems that in Blasville, evangelical Christians armed with tons of the sophisticated medical equipment so sorely lacking in the city right now, plus the expertise to use it, are presumptively suspect. And are perhaps to be expelled.

A family of five in Odessa, Missouri, had its faith in small-town America restored after losing everything Sunday in a house fire, amid the already stressful coronavirus outbreak.
The Villegas family's house burned down, but the community, which is on a stay-at-home order with 20 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in their county, immediately rallied to help out in a big way. "Our home was still on fire when our neighbors first came over and offered shoes and coats," Marilyn Villegas, a service-connected disabled veteran, told Fox News. "This was a blessing because none of us had any shoes on or sweatshirts."

CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta was widely blasted for interrupting Dr. Deborah Birx during Friday's coronavirus briefing to attack President Trump.
Birx took a moment at the podium to address the "who knew what when" concerns and said all the countries affected by the pandemic can "look back" to develop a timeline but not while "in the middle" of the crisis.
"We can talk about why didn't Italy do something or Spain do something or Germany do something, or we can really say right now -- we all can do something," Dr. Birx explained.

Hopefully the advanced information CTH provided on the food supply-chain has helped to understand the issues, challenges and demands many are seeing. Inside the food manufacturing industry the impacts of COVID-19 are stunning; crazy increases in business; and there are going to be interim shortages on popular products. To understand the ongoing issues with empty shelves, and also prepare for future shortages on specific products (hint: buy extra pet food now), here’s some interesting background: Champaign, Illinois – […] “We can’t make enough mac and cheese right now,” said Dilton “Dee” Gibbs, plant manager at the facility that makes half of the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese

President Donald Trump shut down a question from a reporter on Friday, dismissing what he described as a “gotcha question” about his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.CBS reporter Weijia Jiang questioned why Kushner said “our” stockpile while referring to the federal stockpile of medical supplies versus state stockpiles.
Trump was not amused.“So what are you asking … what is that, a gotcha question?” he replied.Trump said that “our” meant the “United States” and included all of the states in the country.“It’s such a basic, simple question, and you try and make it so bad,”

Democrats Should thank God President Trump is a president for Every American. President Trump won the 2016 in an electoral college landslide. He won over 30 states and a huge percent of counties around the US. The areas that he did not win were the Democrat held big cities. Areas like New York City, Washington D.C. and San Francisco all went to former first lady Hillary Clinton. Now the areas that voted against President Trump need him the most. Fortunately for the Democrat strongholds, President Trump is doing all he can to help them overcome the China coronavirus.

Despite a steady wave of attacks from much of the media in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, an unprecedented national emergency, President Donald Trump’s ratings on handling the crisis have been strong. The nightly White House briefings have much to do with that, as the president stands before the nation and gives them an update on the actions being taken to counter the coronavirus — updates that come without the typical liberal media filter. It is in that regard that an influential far-left media group has petitioned the Federal Communications Commission to develop a wide-ranging censorship plan of Trump’s press conferences,

Playing the role of life preserver, the liberal media are desperately trying to buoy Joe Biden’s sinking candidacy — but the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee keeps clinging grimly to the anchor that is dragging him down to the depths of political irrelevance.
The New York Times recently published an article arguing that “Joe Biden’s campaign and top donors are racing to reimagine the ways they raise money as worries grow that the coronavirus could choke off contributions from donors big and small.” The article sought to put a positive spin on Biden’s predicament, analyzing how the Democrat front-runner might be able to “close” the “cash gap”

ABC's Jonathan Karl asked Trump during a Friday press conference."No, because I think a lot of people cheat with mail-in voting," the president responded. "And it shouldn't be mail-in voting. It should be, you go to a booth, and you probably display yourself. You don’t send it in the mail where people pick up all sorts of bad things can happen by the time they sign that,

Despite the fact that the Mueller report proved there was no collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians during the 2016 campaign, Democrats were convinced that there was more evidence out there, perhaps in the tiny fraction of the report that was redacted for national security reasons, that proved Trump actually did collude with the Russians.
It turns out that the most interesting things about Mueller's investigation were not what was redacted from the report, but what wasn't included in the first place. According to investigative reporter John Solomon, Bob Mueller hid evidence exonerating Donald Trump Jr. over the infamous Trump Tower meeting,

In a critical health crisis like the one we are experiencing, no single activity is more important than the role of the news media.
People need the best information on the nature of the threat, how they can protect themselves, what to do if they suspect they are infected, etc.
On March 25, President Trump conducted a daily briefing on the coronavirus. Attorney General Barr was there to warn people about price gouging. Health experts were there to update everyone on the latest information about testing –

White House Senior Adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner made his White House coronavirus briefing debut on Thursday, announcing he’d secured a month of N95 masks for Big Apple hospitals.
President Trump asked Kushner to become involved in the government’s coronavirus response several weeks ago and is now running his own task force looking for “outside the box” solutions, Kushner told reporters.
Kushner told reporters how Trump called him early on Thursday morning after hearing “from friends in New York” that Big Apple hospitals were running critically low on supplies, he said.
He called Dr. Mitchell Katz, the president and CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals,

Some states and cities that have been shipped masks, gloves, ventilators and other essential equipment from the nation’s medical stockpile to fight the coronavirus have gotten an unwelcome surprise: the material is unusable.
Nearly 6,000 medical masks sent to Alabama had dry rot and a 2010 expiration date. More than 150 ventilators sent to Los Angeles were broken and had to be repaired. In Oregon, it was masks with faulty elastic that could cause the straps to snap, exposing medical workers to the disease.
“Several of the shipments we have received from the strategic national stockpile contained (personal protective equipment) well past expiration dates

President Donald Trump has fired Michael Atkinson, the inspector general for the intelligence community who handled the whistleblower complaint that triggered Trump’s impeachment.
Trump informed the Senate intelligence committee Friday of his decision to fire Atkinson, according to a letter obtained by The Associated Press.
Trump said in the letter that it is “vital” that he has confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general, and “that is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general.”
Atkinson was the first to inform Congress about an anonymous whistleblower complaint last year that described Trump’s pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democrat Joe Biden and his son.
