Newsom is Giving Emergency Grants
to Illegal Alien Small Business Owners

Original Article

On Friday, a reporter from Telemundo asked California's Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom what emergency relief he would be providing for illegal aliens amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. "No state in America does more to help residents regardless of their immigration status," the governor rightly assured the reporter. Newsom first bragged about the state's healthcare coverage for illegal aliens before explaining how his administration is now helping illegal alien small business owners obtain grants while a large part of the American economy remains shut down.

What is the governor’s worldview? Clearly, the New World Order, in which nation-states and nationalities are blurred, and a global bureaucracy rules. While it’s probable— even desirable— that one day the Earth’s people resolve this blue marble will resolve into a single civilization of man, taking seriously our stewardship of the oceans, minerals, and other natural bounty, resolving the remaining stone-age civilizations in a Africa, Latin America, and the Far East into some semblance of civilizational order, I don’t believe the time is nigh to force it. And that’s what the no-borders advocates advocate. Avaricious man was not borne whole, and it’s the job of government to civilize us. We are not born perfect, but need management, and it seems that a free market of goods and of ideas is the best practice. No bureaucracy is fair made as they are of prejudiced men. Only the crucible of the marketplace— of ideas and of goods and services— is fair. Idealism is fine but it must serve the day. Serving tomorrow— or the next century— is for the speculation of philosophers not for executors of public policy. Good fences make good neighbors. Any mandated diversity will bear only discontent. The only healthy diversity is organic and cannot be quantified in law.

Isn't that another illegal act? How about the people who need those monies to keep their small businesses open so that American citizens can have the means to support their families? Why doesn't the country from which the illegal alien came contribute to the person in their home country, and then they would not illegally enter this country. A little research would show that we are already contributing millions and millions to the illegal's country. So, when someone enters this country illegally, taxpayers are paying twice or thrice or four times or five times. If they enter a country with the attitude, "Look what I can get away with here.", it is a philosophy that does not leave them. Check the traffic accident reports; that is, if people are still charged with breaking traffic laws. There is someone sitting some place smiling, and it is not Thomas Jefferson. When this country collapses financially, then where do the illegals migrate? Hello, Tower of Babel. Wouldn't it be better if their home country provided for them in the first place with the monies we already give them?

At some point, some of these Governors need to be arrested. They are breaking the law. If local law enforcement won't do it, we used to have the FBI. Maybe Federal Marshals acting under Federal court orders?

Don'tcha love how our government is picking winners and losers? Governor Newsom certainly is. Anyone else notice we are getting four layers of government telling us what to do during the crisis? First there is the federal government under Trump. Second, there is the state government. Third is county. Fourth is local. Each think what they say has precedent over the others.

It’s like opening the barn door to massive fraud. The Mexican smuggling cartels operate out of the massive illegal alien communities in California and other States, and are just one of the “underground” unlawful businesses that operate there. All those operations are run by “businessmen and “businesswoman” some who are US citizens, resident aliens, and illegal aliens. The State of California giving those people taxpayer’s money just allows those unlawful businesses to survive. Then you are going to have the fraudsters all over the State who are going masquerade as legitimate business owners to collect, who do not have any sort of businesses at all, something that has been easy to do in the past when the Government is rushing to hand out huge amounts of money.

Newsom is just another democrat taking advantage of the system. It is the voters of California who are to blame. If those voters are now illegal aliens then the blame goes retroactively to the first group of Californians who thought it would be a good idea to let them in and give them citizenship, jobs, and political office. These criminal situations do not happen overnight unless we are talking Minneapolis/St Paul where Bush and Obama thought it would be a great idea to transplant a bunch of Somalis out of the goodness of their One World little hearts.

First of all what is a 'illegal small business' and how are they allowed to operate? An illegal with a lawn mower and gas powered leaf blower is a small business or a person selling tamales off the back of a truck both operating without licenses which are illegal. Newsome is certainly pandering to the majority California population or Mexico Norte if you wish.

He's setting himself up for a future election when he'll say "I was there helping the you when nobody else would." What he should do is a Quid pro Quo. He should offer them a deal that if they go through the process to apply for legal entry, he will grant them money for their business. That would set an example for others to follow and help them at the same time.

For months now, it has been clear that Biden family corruption will be a campaign issue. The impeachment focused attention on ties between the vice president’s son, Hunter, and the corrupt Ukrainian oil and gas giant Burisma. But Hunter had equally close, equally profitable ties to Chinese state-owned banks. Those connections were formed when Joe Biden was leading the Obama administration’s policies toward both China and Ukraine. Cozy, profitable, and possibly corrupt connections with the Chinese government are the last thing Americans want to hear about their politicians right now. " We may or may not have flattened the curve," Fox News's Brit Hume said recently, "but we've certainly flattened the economy." With that, Hume captured the fundamental dilemma of the nation's response to the coronavirus crisis. The methods federal and state officials chose to reduce the spread of infection — stay-at-home orders, closing "nonessential" businesses, limiting the size of gatherings — have involved enormous damage to the economy. After a period of early optimism in which some believed the disease could be conquered and then — presto! — the economy quickly turned back on, a more sobering reality has set in. What lies ahead is a long period of restoration,

In March, one of the most feared aspects of the pandemic was the widely reported coming shortage of ventilators. One well-publicized estimate, repeated by the New York Times, the New Yorker and CNN, was that the U.S. would need roughly one million ventilators, or more than five times as many as we had. Gulp. Ventilators are expensive, they’re complex machines, and they can’t be churned out in the thousands overnight. In the state that (as of today) has one-third of the country’s confirmed COVID-19 cases, New York governor Andrew Cuomo sounded the alarm for ventilators repeatedly. On March 27, he acknowledged “I don’t have a crystal ball”

First, it seems that the Wuhan virus has peaked in the U.S. This chart is from the CDC web site. It shows cases of COVID-19 by date of onset. I have posted it a couple of times before, with the caveat that this chart only included around one-quarter of the total number of confirmed cases. Now, however, it includes more than half of cases recorded by the CDC. I assume that no date of onset is available for the others. At this point, it seems clear that the epidemic has assumed the bell-shaped curve predicted by Farr’s Law in the 19th Century:

When the future author of Democracy in America, Alexis de Tocqueville, arrived in Newport harbor, New York, at eight o’clock on the evening of May 9, 1831, it didn’t take him very long to realize that he was entering a country that was a New World in more ways than one. Tocqueville was immediately astonished at “the spirit of enterprise” that characterized the country. Americans, Tocqueville quickly realized, were “a commercial people.” The nation buzzed with the pursuit of wealth. “Almost all of them,” Tocqueville scribbled in one of his notebooks, are “entrepreneurs.” Hard work and meeting consumer demand were the path to economic success in the America encountered by Tocqueville.

Many US airlines are canceling 60 percent to 80 percent of their flights, and under federal law passengers on those flights are entitled to full refunds, Senators Ed Markey, Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal said in a statement. “However, many airlines have been obfuscating this right by offering travel vouchers as the default option, requiring passengers to take burdensome steps to request refunds instead,” they said.

As another five million people flood the unemployment system, the country faces a classic whodunit: Who killed the U.S. economy? The novel coronavirus must bear some of the blame. Social distancing has pushed millions of consumers and producers into their homes. A temporary societal shutdown means a temporary economic contraction. But the length of the recession—whether the economy bounces back post-shutdown, or whether we lose another decade of growth—is as much about government as the conditions on the ground.

President Trump’s decision to set the United States back on the path to work will be decried as mere politics, but it is the right decision. It is the task of politicians to consider the general welfare. This consideration sets the current emergency against the coming one, the need to reduce deaths from COVID-19 against the need to forestall the human cost of an economy in open-ended limbo. The data on COVID-19 remains insufficient and will probably remain so. The economic prognosis is, however, clearer, and we have the data too. The IMF is warning that a prolonged shutdown will lead to a Thirties’-style Depression.
