EXCLUSIVE - Multiple patients infected with coronavirus were transferred to the hospital ship Comfort from the Javits Center in New York by mistake, three U.S. officials tell Fox News. The number of Covid-19 patients brought on board the hospital ship was estimated to be “less than five,” one official said. (Snip) The patients were transferred sometime Friday, according to the officials. At the time the patients were transferred to the hospital ship Comfort, the initial screening did not indicate they were positive, officials said.

Comments:

The patients with COVID-19 were transferred Saturday morning back to the Javits center for treatment. According to officials, the risk to the crew of the ship is “low” because protocols were in place.

Would be curious to know just who was in charge when that happened. and what the heck happened to him or her when it was found out. Most probably, him or her or whatever got detention every day next week for at least 45 minutes.

#3, while mistakes happen, in today's environment where Rep. Bull Schiff wants to investigate, AGAIN, to find blame, despite the information being extremely fluid over the last few months, including the CDC now deeming that everyone should start using a mask, it's important to determine how this happened. After all, it was determined the ship would ONLY handle over-flow patients the hospitals couldn't cover due to their expected influx of very sick patients requiring urgent care.

The ships - on West and East coasts - were to take regular patients only so that the hospitals would have more room for COVID-19 patients. They weren’t to be used for “overflow” COVID-19 patients. That is pretty simple.

But,most probably, they will blame on the President. Who else? Certainly not the person who signed some paper for the transfer.

Was the USNS Comfort Navy Hospital Ship infected through general incompetence, or a covert local political decision to send highly contagious COVED-19 patients to the Comfort? Does that make any difference, as the ship is now compromised and may be infected.

I keep coming back to this because I find it so confusing. The first time I heard the expression "CYA" was from someone in service and he told me that you CYA all the time in the army or in any branch of service. You write a report or whatever. Still, I find this article so confusing. Not sure if it is the reporting or the those he interviewed. I read "multiple patients", "less than five", "not postive". Probably one way of covering yourself is to make it so confusing that it cannot be understood and so no one is responsible.

After i read the article, it was not quite the flagrant error that the headline would have us believe. A relative few patients were transferred after having some things tested - temperature, symptoms. They turned out to be COVID-19 positive after they showed up on the ship. Those who were found to be positive were sent back. It was a snafu, but it doesn’t sound as though any great harm was done, and I imagine greater safeguards are now in place because of this.

They might have protocols in place, but this is not what Trump agreed to help with. Have to wonder if the ship needs to be resanitized now.
