The mysterious case of the people
who ate fish tank cleaner

Original Article

Shortly after President Trump touted chloroquine as a potential cure for COVID-19, the media triumphantly reported that a man died from taking homemade chloroquine due to Trump’s recommendation. It turned out that the man’s wife fed him some fish tank cleaner. She even partook of it with him, except that he died while she didn’t. As a dedicated murder mystery reader, I didn’t blame Trump. My suspicions were focused elsewhere. It turns out my instincts may have been right on the money. Here’s the story the drive-by media didn't tell you

The wife has a history of mental issues. One major clue for that: being a Democrat who hates Trump with a frightful fanaticism. She hated her husband too, since she wanted to divorce him since 2012, and was “furious with him all the time.” Hence, the fish-tank cleaner in the soda.

There seems to be a bit of ambiguity here as to what these misfits actually ingested. Both chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine are administered as the phosphate or hydrochloride or phosphate salt, and both are effective against malaria and, presumably, the Yellow Plague. In other words, the "phosphate" part is not the problem, but the fact that they ingested chloroquine, rather than hydroxychloroquine, which is much less toxic. Chloroquine on the other hand, "is very dangerous in overdose" (Wikipedia). Now, add to this the fact that the chloroquine itself was but one ingredient in a witches' brew intended as a disinfectant for fish tanks, and you have a truly toxic concoction that only an unsound mind would attempt to use medicinally.

If you were still harboring naïve notions of free and fair elections when Democrats are involved, perhaps this will help disabuse you of those fantasies. From a Fox News report a few days ago: A prominent Democratic lawyer who represented Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign [Marc Elias] is threatening to sue the state of Nevada unless it immediately suspends prosecutions for ballot harvesting before the June 9 primary, among a slew of other demands, according to a letter obtained by Fox News on Tuesday. Writing on April 10 to Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske, a Republican, Elias first took aim at Nevada Revised Statutes section 293.330(4), which prohibits ballot harvesting

The Wuhan virus has ended the game China has been playing for the past 3 decades to rise from Marxist-rooted poverty to the world’s biggest manufacturer. Virtually all of the world’s advanced economies and many of the less-developed countries now realize that China is not a trustworthy partner. No doubt, NeverTrumpers are clutching their pearls over the visceral new campaign ad released under President Trump’s imprimatur. It certainly isn’t gentlemanly the way George W. Bush was; it’s primal in its attack on Nancy Pelosi and its appeal to class resentments. It’s not the sort of lose-with-dignity approach favored the last generation of the GOP establishment. But in an era of phony impeachment efforts and Special Counsel investigations and “blood on his hands” accusations, it is giving back to the Democrats exactly what they have hurling Trump’s way.

A couple of weeks ago I predicted correctly that President Trump would reopen the economy midway between the point where the Democrats would blame him for doing it too early and the point where the Democrats would blame him for opening the economy too late. I now realized that the president has gone one better than that, he has actually threaded the needle on opening the economy. He has decreed a road-map and left it up to the governors how to drive the road back to town. The genius of this move, to me, is breathtaking. It really puts the Democratic governors on the spot.

But, as is often the case in politics these days, party nominees can result from when the party decides it's someone's "turn."
