In the eternity since former Vice President Joe Biden turned his presidential campaign around by winning the South Carolina primary in a blowout — it was actually just a month ago — a lot of things have changed.
A pandemic has been declared. Deaths from the novel coronavirus have surged to more than 30,000 around the world and nearly 2,500 at home. The stock market has crashed, with the Dow dropping thousands of points. Much of the economy has been put through a sudden stop as millions of Americans have been asking to abide by public-health measures designed to slow the spread of the virus. Nothing novel, intelligent or interesting in Linker's repetition of recent events. Next...

"..30,000 around the world and nearly 2,500 at home"
let's try this
30,000 (unverifed!) around the world and nearly 2,500 (octogenarians who have underlying conditions such as terminal cancer) at home

Clearly, the Biden Dems are counting on the remaining deep-staters and career handlers to prop poor doddering Biden up. They remember when a very ill FDR was controlled by his back-up team. Poorly, as it happened, but that’s beside the point. And the nation somehow survived the lackadaisical but incompetent Obama, who could at least read a TelePrompTer. So, what, us worry? All the Dems need is a strong veep and a lot of “advisors.” They can rebuild the nanny state, and with the control lessons they’ve learned from COVID 19, the course to domination should be clear sailing.

Trouble is most voters may never know of Quid Pro Joe's shortcomings and peccadilloes as the predominent media will not dwell on them as they do any conservative faux pas.
Anyone who expects the same fervor over Joe's sexual transgressions as the media spent on Kavanaugh will be disappointed.

I love this. The Left's tendency to live in a fantasy world is locking them into running a tongue-tied, senile goofus with a documented history of sexual harassment against a popular political genius. If it weren't for the upcoming storm of lies and propaganda by the MSM and the massive vote fraud planned by the Democrats, I would look forward to the election.

The author ignores Biden's obvious cognitive decline. He may occasionally have a good day but the trend is downward. By November he may be a babbling idiot.

"Except for the fact that Biden remains, and is quite likely to remain, a very formidable candidate"
Only in Delusionville. Biden is a walking embarrassment and is only the primary leader because all the other candidates are even worse and Bernie is a Communist.
Around 50% of dem voters would vote for a tree stump before they would support Trump. That doesn't make Biden "formidable", just the closest choice to a tree stump they could find.
Hillary was supposed to be formidable and a shoe in as well. How did that work out for them?

First, Biden has to survive the corona virus epidemic. His handlers will have to keep him locked up in the basement for a long time. Meantime, Trump is out, working, appearong on TV looking vigorous.

Just think after Joe wins he could appoint Hunter as the US Ambassador to Communist China and bring things back to normal with Hunter getting back in business.
