This is Stunning! (Photo) Last week morning Governor’s Gavin Newsom from California and Andrew Cuomo from New York announced complete lockdown on state residents due to the coronavirus pandemic. There had been 16,067 cases of the coronavirus reported in the US at the time. There had been 219 deaths in the US due to coronavirus at that time. The following morning NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci told reporters during the daily White House press conference, “I strongly agree”

Fauci appears to be an entrenched deep state career bureaucrat, enjoying his 15 minutes of fame before the cameras, and will say anything to bring attention to himself. A real weasel.

I'll be honest. I'm sick to the point of gagging on all these "experts."
They don't know and they wont admit they don't know. So they and the pols that listen to them all run around like their hair is on fire and proceed to lock down the entire nation and run a great economy into the ground. They say "noone is immune" and yet millions who have been exposed won't get it. They say 2 million will die and yet a month later, whoops, we were wrong, our bad.
As my daddy used to say "They don't know their arse from their elbow!"
God save us from the "experts"!!

Yes, it is becoming more and more apparent that President Trump was right. The overall mortality rate will eventually be lower than the 3% initially projected. Good. The problem is going to be the 15% of sick people that don't die. Bad. This overall number will overwhelm our health system just based on the sheer numbers of pulmonary infection patients.

More and more I'm beginning to believe this was the Deep State's last ditch effort to neuter President Trump and set him up for defeat in November. Not sure whether China released the virus on purpose or it was the natural consequences of a failed totalitarian state. Either way the "progressive" communists saw it as an opportunity to "Katrina" another Republican presidency.
Having learned nothing in the last four years, they threw themselves headlong into pushing the worse-case scenarios from failed computer models. (Gee, they've never done that before! /s) The CDC, since discredited, led the charge with dire pronouncements eagerly reported by the fear mongering enemedia, even as they were briefing our President. CNN and MSNBC dutifully whipped up public angst and ill winds began to envelope the country. Our President took their "let no crisis go to waste" and did it Trump style, putting the MAGA agenda into action. They took their third and final shot. They failed miserably.
They intended the country to descend into chaos with a frightened public dependent upon purposely inefficient government to meet their needs. Instead the innovation and creativity of our private sector was harnessed to take the things at hand to make the things needed. Our corporations and businesses are being treated as allies instead of the enemy of the government. The focus of American families has been turned away from individual activities towards the home and neighborhood. For 50 years the commies have been systematically destroying the family and now those same families are getting to know each other again. They are working and playing together; making inside jokes and starting family traditions.
When we come out on the other side of the Great Hunkering we will be a different America, MAGA:KAG America.

It's 0.57 percent in Germany because they had a massive testing program that included the not so ill, bringing the death rate down. It's probably lower than that.

My SWAG calculations have indicated that it likely has a death rate of 1.2%, plus or minus 0.35%, or 1.55% to 0.85%. That was probably too high, but it is too soon to know, we'll only get really accurate numbers much later in the progress of this disease. The low end of that range is about 8.5 times as deadly as the common influenza, which is rated at about 0.1% deaths.
But, everyone was using the information on this disease coming out of China. And the info was apparently very inaccurate. Intentional or just ChiCom propaganda ministers trying to lower their numbers by lying? It seemed that they couldn't hide the deaths, but did hide the number of cases, so it seemed far more deadly since the numerator was artificially low. I allowed for quite a bit of "missing cases" in my SWAG, but probably not enough. Still, it seems pretty unlikely it is lower than 0.5% in the first world.
The death rate in Italy is, based on Italian numbers, about 10%. Even with huge numbers who many have it and not get counted, for multiple reasons, it seems unlikely to be below 3-5% death rate in Italy. Why? It is much lower elsewhere. Personal hygiene habits? Age and health of the population? Quality of health care? Too many smokers? Some inborn genetic susceptibility in people of Italian background? The last seems far fetched. Unknown at this time.
