Could a ‘Draft Cuomo’ Movement
Be in the Democrats’ Future?

Democrats are publicly talking about “contingency options” for their July convention in Milwaukee in case the coronavirus persists in being a public-health threat. But privately, some are also talking about needing a Plan B if Joe Biden, their nominee apparent, continues to flounder. Some Democrats are openly talking up New York governor Andrew Cuomo, whose profile has soared during the crisis, as a Biden stand-in. Yesterday, a Draft Cuomo 2020 account on Twitter announced that “Times have changed & we need Gov. Cuomo to be the nominee. Our next POTUS must be one w/an ability to lead thru this crisis.” Charles Pierce, the politics blogger for Esquire magazine, wrote a piece headlined

The Dems can either stick with a guaranteed loser/sacrificial lamb like Biden and write off 2020 completely or go for a governor like Cuomo or Gavin Newsom. The notion of Hillary or Michelle Obama parachuting in at the last minute to save the election is impossible now. Every citizen will demand to know, "Where the hell were you during the crisis???" Of course Cuomo or Newsom or some other Democrat governor will lose, but the Dems might be able to get out enough voters to save some Congressional seats. And the Democrats will blame the crisis not the candidate for the loss, making the 2020 candidate first in line for 2024.

Cuomo also enacted a "no bail" policy in NY where criminal can commit all kinds of crimes and the police bring them in and the gov't lets them out immediately. It's a free pass for the bad guys. Ny'ers hate it.

Democrats flock around shiny things. Cuomo cleverly inserted himself into this mess and got a lot of media attention. No one outside of New York cares about New York but you would not know that from the media fawning. We are not all setting our alarms so we don’t miss his press conferences. I watch New York from afar with a horrified look on my face.

That's the only reason I could fine for letting Cuomo drone on and on and on every day. Why give him that Air time unless you had another motive for doing so. Everyone knows Joe isn't going to make it to the finish line. He looks like a good wind could blow him away. He can't remember where he is or why he is there. He is NOT fit to run this country. So, in walks Cuomo who's dearest wish has always been to run for President. Now, he can try it without even worrying about the Primary. It's all but over. He just needs to go to the Convention and give a strong speech and the Dems will grab him and throw Joe overboard! Easy, Peasy!

Andy created the slogan "Vote for Cuomo not the Homo" when his father was running for mayor in NYC against Ed Koch. Andy had just a few problems when he was gifted a cabinet position in HUD. Andy appointed the Morland commission to root out corruption in NYS - and when they found corruption and it pointed to him, he disbanded the commission. Andy outlawed 10 round magazines in NYS, then found out he had outlawed the State police firearms. Who would vote for the winner of the Chico Marx look-a-like contest?

Everyone now sees how bad Biden is but I think it is purposeful to keep him campaigning and acting like he will be the candidate. I think not too long before the convention, he will announce he is too ill to continue and the Dems will elect their “real” candidate at that time. Of course, that will be a big fight if it happens. PIAPS has never left the scene.

Is this an Operation Chaos type story? Late entries have never succeeded. That will include Andrew Cuomo. The Democratic nominee will be Joe 'Befuddled' Biden. He won because everybody else on the Democratic side was actually worse than him which says alot. The Democrats have been weak on issues for a few decades now, and it shows. Identity politics will only carry them so far. Likewise the media can cover for them only so much. They have to show they can govern competently and honestly, and they have failed on both counts.

All Cuomo has done in contemporary New York City fashion has bloviated and complained that the virus pandemic that is spreading across the country, and about President Trump at the snap of Cuomo's fingers not immediately distributing 325 million effective diagnostic test kits around the country for a virus that was unknown more then a couple of months ago, along with Trump not immediately sending 30,000 hospital ventilators to New York City when the entire Federal inventories of those ventilators in the FEMA stockpile for use across the entire country is about 20,000 with about 4,000 of those already being sent to New York. On top of that Cuomo yesterday said that all the other States should send their ventilators to New York and that after the pandemic is over that New York will return them to the owning States. What is 5he chance with a spreading pandemic that the other States are going to send their hospital ventilators to New York? Cuomo has also used his bloviating sessions to introduce two of his adult daughters to the country. Cuomo has been in office much longer than Trump has been the President, and apparently as far back as the Obama era had the chance to purchase tens of thousands of hospital ventilators for New York and did not take up that offer. Cuomo has found no cure for the virus and it will be “fool’s gold” for the Democrats to hand Cuomo the Democrat nomination for President as a result of his bloviating sessions, an action that would make the Democrat State level caucuses and primaries irrelevant.

Don't be fooled America! This guy is a dope and could only get elected in a state just like far-Left New York. His father, Mario the Pious, laid the groundwork for Fredo's brother to take over the reins when old enough. Randy Andy never ran for ANY local elected position before being handed the state's A.G. position (elected, but no real challengers) and then helping himself to the 56th governorship of the Empire State after the path was cleared for him. Think about that. He paid back dad's memory by re-naming the Tappan-Zee bridge after him. Before screwing up HUD, he ran the homeless program in NYC under Mayor David Dinkens, the local precursor to Obama on the national level, i.e. elected while being black and guess what? The homeless situation got worse! This guy couldn't organize a three pony parade with a one-man band. He's being pushed on television locally every day in response to Trump's national health update and all he does is cry that NY .... under his own leadership since January 2011 --- is not prepared for a health emergency. Really? And how does he step up and take charge? By finger pointing and whining. He has squandered NY's $150 billion annual budget on helping criminals and illegals and then proudly signs the most radical abortion bill in the USA where a child may be aborted for as long as it "remains in the uterus". We're in deep doo-doo because of him. Biden can take the convention --- have his party --- and then be removed "for health reasons" and then the Dem party leaders from the 50 states get to pick a replacement for the election! Brace yourselves.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

If you had any doubts that Meghan Markle is a manipulative piece of work, her bombshell Oprah interview Sunday night dumping on the British monarchy would set you straight. Prince Harry’s American wife accused his family of hateful racism against her baby, claimed they refused to protect her and drove her to the point of suicide. She made the incendiary and implausible charge that when she was pregnant with Archie, the royal family decreed that her unborn son would be denied the title of “prince” because her mixed race meant he might have dark skin.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
