Andrew Gillum’s lawyers have now confirmed that it was him who was lying on the tile floor and apparently “under the influence of an unknown substance” during an apparent overdose at the Mondrian Hotel on Miami Beach,” as we posted here. According to Alex Spiros, an attorney at Quinn, Emanuel, Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP in New York City, in a cease and desist letter our news outlet received from his firm regarding the overdose incident at the Mondrian Hotel on Miami Beach that involved Gillum, our story was a “violation of Mr. Gillum’s privacy rights”

Comments:

Maybe some people don't care, but I'd sure like to know if my prospective governor was an orgy-attending meth-user.

The law firm can use the cease and desist letter as toilette paper, it's so hard to come by these days. Gillum is a public figure. Just because he is out on a drug, meth??, does not suddenly make him so very private. If it was anyone it would have made a good story for the paper considering he was there with 2 male prostitutes/escort/whatever. Gillum face it, you are washed up other than with your fellow brethren!

How to ruin your life in one night. I do feel sorry for his wife and three children. And I do suspect that the Democrats (media) will attempt to rehabilitate Gillum's reputation, just like they are attempting to rehabilitate former congresswoman Katie Hill's reputation (the NYTimes wrote a tortured column in which the author attempted to defend Hill's being in a throuple while criticizing her for being in a throuple that included a subordinate staff member). (As we know, Leftists are amoral).

We need to cut Gilley some slack because after all his public relations disaster management team was able to get him into rehab. He went even though it wasn't voluntary. At least this gets sympathy in the press and he is out of the public eye until next time after he gets out. In the meantime, I hope his wife has hired a good divorce attorney and takes the SOB to the cleaners.

#5 One night? Two gay prostitutes and so much meth there was an overdose and you think this was a "one night" thing? Not sure a man can go from married with three children to hiring multiple gay prostitutes in a meth fueled party in "one night". The Democrat party leaders knew it and took great glee in trying to give us our first bi-sexual, pro-druggy Governor.

Jill Biden said Joe Biden would take on the role of 'healer in chief' to help the nation recover from the coronavirus crisis after she and her husband claimed Donald Trump mishandled the situation from the start. The former second lady told MSNBC's Morning Joe round table Thursday morning that the U.S. is 'going to need so much healing to take place after this is over.' 'So Joe's not going to only be the commander in chief, he's going to be really the healer in chief,' she said seated beside her husband during a virtual interview. 'I hope I am that,' Biden said.

It’s probably a coincidence, but I notice that as businesses go under, jobs are lost, careers are ended and trillions of dollars are drained from the economy, the people most avidly pushing the coronavirus panic are doing quite well. No politician or government official has taken a salary cut. To the contrary, dusty bureaucrats now find the entire country transfixed by their every utterance. I'm "social distancing." I stay away from people. I do it voluntarily. There's a big difference between voluntary -- and force. Government is force. The media want more of that. "Ten states have no stay-at-home orders!" complains Don Lemon On CNN. "Some governors are still refusing to take action!" Fox News' host Steve Hilton agreed. "Shut things down! Everywhere. That includes Utah, Wyoming..." But wait a second. People in Utah and Wyoming already socially distanced just by living there. Why must Utah and Wyoming have the same stay-at-home rules as New York? I find it creepy how eager some people are for authorities to boss us around.
