Joe Biden is planning a regular shadow briefing on coronavirus to start as early as Monday to show how he would handle the crisis and address what he calls the lies and failures of President Trump. Biden gave a preview of what’s to come in a conference call with reporters Friday, where he listed a litany of false and misleading statements from Trump, who has been holding regular White House press conferences concerning coronavirus preparedness and response that have been broadcast live on all major networks. “President Trump stop saying false things, will ya?” Biden said. “People are worried they are really frightened,

Some day at a Chinese Virus briefing, some dopey reporter will say to Trump, "Well Joe says ...". Trump's response: "Joe who?" Reporter: "Biden." Trump: "Joe Biden has no official status to provide information about anything. He also has no medical knowledge." "This is the guy who, as part of BO's team, let the SARS virus go unchecked until LOTS of Americans had already died." "This is the same guy that often doesn't know what town he is in." "If you want to cover Joe's prescription for America, attend his press conferences but don't expect me to address his inaccurate and misleading silliness here." "Don't be surprised when his information steers some of America badly wrong that there will be a big backlash and those who helped disseminate his propaganda will be held accountable."

Old Jo is caught in an interesting position. His handlers have to fashion a campaign for him, without going to the usual rallies. why no usual rallies? First, Kung Flu restrictions on large gatherings are limiting factors on his events, but moreso, his inability to draw crowds under normal circumstances. So his handlers will prop him up in front of the camera, and feed him the lines about DJT's supposed ineffectiveness. they will find loudmouths like Dr. Zeke Enmanuel to bash dJT on every action taken to deal with Kung Flu. (I enjoy typing Kung Flu as much as I enjoy typing Dead Ted Kennedy. I realize I am being petty, but i'm no NASCAR driver.) Biden's handlers are being especially evil, in my opinion, causing damage to the political fabric of our country, at a time when unity is important. I suspect that there will be no presidential debates between DJT and biden, because Biden's handlers will make impossible demands as to the structure of the debates. They cannot afford to allow their impaired candidate to go up against the President. so they, and Biden, will snipe from the sidelines.

On the coronavirus channel, CNN, one can always count on regular updates about the number of fatalities from the virus. In hushed tones, the hosts reveal that the “number has reached 150.” Imagine such hosts speaking so gravely about the number of deaths each day from abortion, which is around 4,000. Imagine them putting that number in a box on the bottom of the screen. Of course, it would never happen. Most of the pundits on CNN who hysterically swoon over coronavirus cases and deaths support abortion and euthanasia. As the nation confronted the new coronavirus, the mainstream media quickly settled upon its all-too-predictable talking points. This is “Trump’s Katrina,” we were told, a crisis the president cannot “spin” away, and which almost certainly spells his electoral doom. Say what you will, but the media herd has a coordinated response for every occurrence: Blame President Donald Trump. Democrats should, however, beware of attempts to politicize COVID-19 or to score cheap political points against the president. It is true that the crisis, steadily building in China, should have triggered more rapid planning in America — even while congressional Democrats continued to occupy all of Washington with their ideologically driven impeachment effort.

I hold Xi Jinping guilty of starting the coronavirus pandemic, which began in the Chinese city of Wuhan and has now caused thousands of deaths around the world and an economic recession that will ravage all of us for years. My accusation is well-founded and well-documented. Early last December, a young doctor at a Wuhan hospital discovered the first case of illness caused by a heretofore unknown virus. He immediately established the link with an earlier epidemic that had begun in the same place and under the same circumstances, in 2002–2003: SARS, a viral pneumonia. The doctor, Li Wenliang, 37 years old, who died in February

Mix in a grandstanding TV reporter with an annoyed President Trump, and it usually doesn’t end well. Very subtle. “I say that you’re a terrible reporter. That’s what I say,” Trump replied. “I think it’s a very nasty question and I think it’s a very bad signal

Homeowners who have lost income or their jobs because of the coronavirus outbreak are getting some relief. Depending on their situation, they should be eligible to have their mortgage payments reduced or suspended for up to 12 months. The move covers about half of all home loans in the U.S. — those guaranteed by Fannie and Freddie. But regulators expect that the entire mortgage industry will quickly adopt a similar policy. The pressure only increased after Trump’s Friday briefing. The Atlantic’s James Fallows believes the attention-starved Trump is turning the press conferences into “virtual campaign” rallies and Trump would actually lose interest in showing up if the media did not cover the briefings live.“Also, as a practical matter, if the briefings were no longer covered live, Trump would lose interest in attending himself,” Fallows argues.
