Joe Biden is planning a regular shadow briefing on coronavirus to start as early as Monday to show how he would handle the crisis and address what he calls the lies and failures of President Trump. Biden gave a preview of what’s to come in a conference call with reporters Friday, where he listed a litany of false and misleading statements from Trump, who has been holding regular White House press conferences concerning coronavirus preparedness and response that have been broadcast live on all major networks. “President Trump stop saying false things, will ya?” Biden said. “People are worried they are really frightened,

Some day at a Chinese Virus briefing, some dopey reporter will say to Trump, "Well Joe says ...". Trump's response: "Joe who?" Reporter: "Biden." Trump: "Joe Biden has no official status to provide information about anything. He also has no medical knowledge." "This is the guy who, as part of BO's team, let the SARS virus go unchecked until LOTS of Americans had already died." "This is the same guy that often doesn't know what town he is in." "If you want to cover Joe's prescription for America, attend his press conferences but don't expect me to address his inaccurate and misleading silliness here." "Don't be surprised when his information steers some of America badly wrong that there will be a big backlash and those who helped disseminate his propaganda will be held accountable."

Old Jo is caught in an interesting position. His handlers have to fashion a campaign for him, without going to the usual rallies. why no usual rallies? First, Kung Flu restrictions on large gatherings are limiting factors on his events, but moreso, his inability to draw crowds under normal circumstances. So his handlers will prop him up in front of the camera, and feed him the lines about DJT's supposed ineffectiveness. they will find loudmouths like Dr. Zeke Enmanuel to bash dJT on every action taken to deal with Kung Flu. (I enjoy typing Kung Flu as much as I enjoy typing Dead Ted Kennedy. I realize I am being petty, but i'm no NASCAR driver.) Biden's handlers are being especially evil, in my opinion, causing damage to the political fabric of our country, at a time when unity is important. I suspect that there will be no presidential debates between DJT and biden, because Biden's handlers will make impossible demands as to the structure of the debates. They cannot afford to allow their impaired candidate to go up against the President. so they, and Biden, will snipe from the sidelines.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

It reminds me of that old saying which I think was from Einstein, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Polling, at least the old-school style, is over. Done. I don’t need to go through a long list of reasons why nobody should take pollsters seriously anymore, but a few data points are instructive.
Implications of the Flynn Pardon 11 replies

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

Minnesota is one of a number of states that are living under what amounts to martial law. Our proto-fascist dictator Tim Walz, in his latest edict, purports to ban traditional Thanksgiving get-togethers: Saturday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Dec. 18, Executive Order 20-99 requires all Minnesotans to: * Limit social gatherings to one household. * Not gather outside of your household. * Postpone all celebrations, events, receptions, and parties, including any social gatherings for weddings and funerals. So it is “illegal” for me to invite any of my four kids to Thanksgiving dinner.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
