Quantifying How Well the Trump
Administration Is Doing on Coronavirus

Original Article

The debate over the Trump administration’s handling of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is remarkably devoid of hard data comparisons. With President Trump’s decision on Wednesday to expand travel restrictions to the European Union, it is time to evaluate the very different approaches to travel restrictions that the U.S. and the E.U. have taken. The end of January seems long ago. Until January 30th, the World Health Organization (WHO) explicitly declined to classify the coronavirus (COVID-19) as a global emergency. It urged countries not to restrict travel or trade. The WHO announcement on travel was partially in response to the U.S. government’s January 27th recommendation that Americans “avoid all non-essential travel to China.”

In a totally different forum I was just lambasted for 'not being helpful' when I stated that the U.S. mortality rate could end up being like a bad flu season. So far, about 2200 cases that have been diagnosed and among the general public NOT in nursing homes, about 28 deaths. That is a tad over 1% mortality rate for the cases we now see. Of course, many of the cases are very recent and have yet to run their course so there will be more deaths. BUT, everyone is talking about the scarcity of test kits in the U.S., right? That would almost certainly mean that our actual cases of infections is being grossly under-reported. IF the U.S. rate of 7.1 cases per million is actually more like the lower end of European nation's numbers then we could be off by a factor of 8 for actual cases. In which case... the death rate would also be 8 times too high. This week Fauci has already stated that the previous number of 4-6% mortality was reduced to 1%. If the actual cases are being under-reported by a factor of 8... Then COVID-19 could go from a 4-6% mortality rate to .125%, by way of an already stated reduction to 1%. Someone needs to find that video of Trump stating this would be like the flu and make sure you save it.

Great data in this article. Especially when comparing the results from Trump's actions vs the inaction or (dumb) actions of other nations. I nominate this for a must-read. Lott is THE man on statistics.

Go quantify how the media and Democrat Party are doing on the coronavirus. A little honest self examination would be good for their souls.

This is a great comparison to other countries, but there should continue to be a comparison to Obama and the swine flu, how Obama did nothing for 6 months while at least a thousand died. I would like to know, too, how Iran is fairing. They were in constant cahoots with the Chinese before this.

President Trump said he is seriously considering a pardon for former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn. “So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has 'lost' the records of General Michael Flynn. How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!” Trump tweeted on Sunday. Flynn, 61, pleaded guilty in December 2017 for lying to investigators about his conversations with then-Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak and faces possible prison time. China's CGTN, or China Global Television Network, is pretty much the RT News of China. It's the state propaganda and disinformation operation most aggressively active, and watched, by spies, of any nation that pays attention to China. Last February 2019, it was forced to register as a foreign agent. So what weird stuff it is to read that one of its reporters has been caught at the White House gate with a high fever, which is a symptom of the highly contagious coronavirus. The fever was in the 100-degree range. You'd know if you had such a fever. Yet the person was clamoring to get into a closed-quarters press briefing

Italy's in dire need of help. Its health care system is collapsing. The coronavirus has put the whole country in quarantine. There are now 15,000 cases, along with 1,018 deaths, the last 24 hours bringing in 188 more. The casualty count is the highest outside China. And it's spreading fast. Until a few days ago, the problem as concentrated in the north. Now, it has spread throughout the whole country. Anyone with a heart can feel pity and an urge to help them. They need help, bad. But don't go asking the European Union. Turns out the open-borders globalist set-up is stiffing the Italians in their hour of need:

Seems Joe Biden's Super Tuesday II scarf-up has not only excited former Obama administration officials, hoping for a Bourbon restoration, but emboldened a very unscrupulous person out there: Biden's corruption-tainted son, "artist" Hunter Biden. Here's what RedState had to say about it: Hunter Biden and his attorneys really do have a lot of nerve. They have been stringing an Arkansas court along for months now, not providing information in the child support case against Biden by Lunden Roberts. Biden was scheduled to be giving a deposition on March 11.

No doubt about it, it’s a bad time to be fully invested in the stock market. Prognosticators abound, yet no one really knows what the stock market will do next. What’s happening, and what should you do? First, let’s recap Monday’s market mayhem. Before the market even opened, stock futures for S&P 500 index flashed a huge 7% decline. That triggered so-called “circuit breakers,” rules that require trading to be suspended 15 minutes to prevent a panicked rush for the exits. That’s always a bad sign. Equally bad, the Dow Jones Industrial Average tanked more than 2,000 points, off 7.8%

Now we have leftists mocking Sen. In October 2014, Ezekiel Emanuel published an essay in the Atlantic called “Why I Hope to Die at 75.” Because Emanuel is a medical doctor and chair of the University of Pennsylvania’s department of medical ethics and health policy, as well as a chief architect of Obamacare, the article stirred enormous controversy.Emanuel vowed to refuse not only heroic medical interventions once he turned 75, but also antibiotics and vaccinations. First of all, Wuhan is a place and not a race, and to identify the coronavirus by its place of origin, like naming the Ebola Virus for a river in Zaire, is not racist or xenophobic — it's merely accurate. There is no racism or xenophobia in labeling an infection "Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever" or calling something "Lyme Disease" after a nearby town in Ohio. What calling this latest virus the Wuhan Virus is is a reminder of the multiple contagions China has spawned and released on an unsuspecting world.

How convenient. But most of all, Sanders is telling Americans that they are in grave danger because the president has fallen down on the job. And the ultimate cost of Trump's incompetence will be hundreds of thousands of dead.

"People can get tested according to a priority structure, and it's not enough testing. It's just as simple as that," de Blasio said, later claiming that the city has been "pleading" with the federal government for additional testing. "Here's the reality. This is a war-like situation. We're in a wartime scenario with a 'Mar-a-Lago attitude' being used by the federal government, right?"

And instead of testing their styles and one-liners in front of a crowd, this meeting will lack an audience. With so much stripped away, the candidates will either shine or fail. At this moment, it seems that the nomination is former Vice President Joe Biden's to lose.
