Have the Miami Cubans saved America from socialism?
Sure looks like it. Sanders was on the top of the heap in the Democratic presidential race ... right until he made remarks praising Fidel Castro on 60 Minutes, At that point, Democrats started consolidating like little tin soldiers behind Biden, the South Carolina primary gave Biden a solid win, and the Sanders bubble seems to have popped. But the slide downward seems to have been initiated when Florida's Latinos, many of them refugees from socialist hellholes such as Cuba, as well as Cuba's satellites such as Nicaragua and Venezuela, spoke out against Sanders' praise for the dictator's "literacy programs'

Bernie isn’t finished. Joe Biden will surely ask Bernie to be his VP in order to unite Dems. And, to ensure that if Biden manages to somehow become president, that he’ll be protected from removal under the 25th Amendment by his replacement. “Come on, man, if you think I’m crazy, wait until Bernie replaces me.”
Another positive in Bernie’s demise is the lack of political clout of AOC, who has been a big Sanders backer for months. She may draw the dolts but she doesn’t produce votes.

Dyslexia Occasionally-Cognizant is wailing because she wanted a cushy administration job that she didn't have to campaign for every other year. Secretary of Idiocy or something. Hopefully she'll be wailing even louder come November.

I am most joyous that An Occasional Cortex is being further exposed as a worthless teat on a bull. I don't believe anyone she's endorsed has advanced/benefited and just maybe we could be relieved of her and the rest of the Squids. Dear Lord, please!

More to the point is that the dims and msm just spent the last three years "campaigning" and lying through their teeth that the country needs them and their socialist schtick. Gramps was just too direct about his plans to create the USSA. But, don't count him out, not by a long shot. Now Obie and his team force Plugs onto the stage to avoid the 50 state landslide in November and who will be more careful about saying the "S" word though Trump will pull it out of him, anyway. The dims have had almost four years to get their act together. And they failed miserably. There is no "there" there.

If indeed it was Bernie's comments about Cuba, then nearly every Latino should be voting Republican.
After all, today's Democrat party supports nearly every idea Bernie wants for this country. They are just better at hiding the true intent with fancy words they expect will fool voters.
The GOP needs to expose these things. "you left a place where you didn't have opportunities, don't elect people who want to install those same limitations".

His choice of the words "assumed office" covering up Castro's bloody, murderous trail that left well over a hundred thousand dead and many more tortured and imprisoned, showed such tone deafness, warped world view and disregard for human dignity that anything else he says will make little difference.

Sanders needs to stay in this race. There are months to go until the convention, and Biden has a huge chance of imploding. Sanders can put a wrench in things by sticking around and preventing the party from saving itself with the likes of Hillary or Kerry. If Biden is the only one left standing the party can pluck anyone it wants to replace him, at zero cost to the "savior" or the party until the general election campaign.

Yup, Bernie back to buying houses. AOC back to tending bar. Nasty Pelousy ex-Speaker AGAIN (How sweet it is!) and hopefully resigning and going home to be on poop patrol. Schiffty and Nadless no longer in charge of their committees and maybe facing a few ethics charges. The media firing half their staff because they can't afford them. The Left having a massive meltdown.
Christmas in November.

It wasn't just Little Havana that saved us from Bernie. many of the traditional minority democrat voters saved us from Mayor Pete on down to Bernie. Trump has opened up so many sets of eyes with his actually doing something for minorities in this country, that they aren't ready to let that go yet. Democrats are gonna be so shocked in November, and the epic meltdown of democrats in 2016 is nothing compared to what is coming.

As a Miami Cuban, former boat refugee, and political exile, it's refreshing to see someone in media give us a bit of credit for salvaging our democracy, if not our collective sanity. Recall also how Gore lost FL after Bubba sent Elian Gonzalez home. We remembered that November --- that was our war cry.
You have no clue how infuriating it is to hear Breadline Bernie mouth off incoherently, while he enjoys his capitalist lifestyle and preaches to the skulls full of mush who've never lived under a communist or totalitarian regime, pardon the redundancy. He's a menace and a plague because, after he is gone, there will be large swath of stupid voters who will forever be hooked on his Kool-Aid. God help us.

In all fairness, Bernie is not that far behind in the Dim delegate count . . . and all California state delegates (favoring the dear Comrade) have not yet been assigned due to California's insane voting process.
If I were the Bern, I would stay in the race . . . Biden will surely stumble and Comrade Sanders just might be able to capitalize on this entering the Dim convention in July.
Also, I'm having fun watching the Dim primary debacle, and would surely miss the free entertainment . . . and the popcorn!
Hang in there, Boinie.

The DNC and the DNC ONLY decided to get rid of Bernie. Therefore, bye-bye Bernie.
So much for all those Dim primary votes (and for any Repubs that tried to keep the Commie in the election). The DNC chooses the Dim candidate. Just ask Hillary who "won" SIX coin tosses in a row last time.

Bernie won't have a problem dropping out. I understand that there are some lovely luxury condos being built in the Killington area for Bernie's skiing pleasure that would make a nice consolation prize.
