will never be president

Joe Biden was sworn into the United States Senate on January 3, 1973. (Snip) What does 36 years in the Senate say about a politician? It says he is a senator -- not a president.
So the first reason Biden will not become president is that no one who served 36 years in the Senate has ever become president. No one who served 30 years in the Senate has ever become president. No one who served 25 years in the Senate has ever become president. No one who served 20 years in the Senate has ever become president. No one who served 15 years in the Senate has ever become president.

There are lots of reasons Biden won't be elected but none of them are included in this article. The failures and successes cited were the results of various factors specific to each individual unrelated to senate membership and time lapses between campaigns. At best the information could be used as source material to form a few question in a game of political trivia pursuit.

I think this is a Hillary machination to become President. Just like she bought the Steele dossier she will be the VP and declare this idiot mentally incompetent within months. Just like pelousy said. She is the biggest threat to civilization.

If Biden wins the nomination, there's a very good chance he can become President. Don't be smug, Trump supporters! No matter who the Democrats nominate, we need to go to the polls... no sitting back this time. There are only two sides... only one is good for the United States.

Corrupt quid pro quo Joe. It's my impression that the machinations behind the scenes are coming from Obama and his cronies. As per usual, Obama is Mr. Virtuous while his buddies put the schemes into action. The key is Biden's VP choice. How about Barack Obama as VP? He can't be elected as president again ,but he could take over should Joe step down for health reasons. Fete accompli. At first I thought Michelle as VP but why not Joe's BFF, Barack? The dilemma now is propping up befuddled Joe during the debates...even if he is spoon fed the questions and the answers.

The article was obviously written by a Beltway dweller where these things actually matter. Biden will lose because he has dementia.

There's only one reason, Donald Trump. If they could, democrats would slide old Joe into the Oval Office by using butter and a shoehorn. Their second step would be to choose as his VP the person they would want to take over once they found they could no longer excuse the fact that Joe's mind is functioning at a low eighth-grade level. Hillary, Michelle, Kerry, even Pelosi would inherit the helm and we could not do a thing about it.

What only 3? And being a corrupt dirty DC establishment politician on the take wasn’t one of them!

All talk of senility aside and in spite of all the three reasons mentioned, if Biden had the capability, intellect, character and courage he would still make it. He has none of the above - in spades.

That's right, and Bob Dole was a war wounded veteran pilot.

Excellent points, all. And all these really are just measures of the mediocrity and lack of real charisma of the individual persons. And I have trouble boosting Biden up to even mediocre. His current look, after apparent massive plastic surgery is much better with his sunglasses on. Without them he has little pig eyes now, MOST unattractive, some odd artifact of surgery, apparently.
And York never even mentions the obvious mental failings that keep popping up nearly daily as Sleepy Joe spouts random nonsense now that his mental filters are all burned out.

#12, Dole, my Senator for decades, (I despise his politics). Dole was not a military pilot, he was an Army officer, wounded in ground combat. You might be thinking of the senior Bush, who was a USN aviator in WW2, piloted torpedo bombers in the Pacific off of aircraft carriers.

Thank you, Mr. York for brightening my day. 36 years in the Senate has taught Joe Bidet NOTHING.

Lack of distinguish accomplishments while being both a senator and VP for a lazy pResident. His "age" is not the factor here, but rather his possible sliding into dementia which the "fake news" media is covering up until they get him to beat Communist Bernie out of race, again. His running mate will reap the rewards, so they think.
