Chuck Schumer: I Didn’t Threaten Justices
but Used the Wrong Words

Original Article

Posted By: ladydawgfan, 3/6/2020 3:50:44 AM

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Thursday offered a defiant non-apology for threatening Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, conceding that he “shouldn’t have used the words I did” while making excuses for the statement and claiming Republicans were “manufacturing outrage” over it. “Of course I didn’t intend to suggest anything other than political and public opinion consequences for the Supreme Court, and it is a gross distortion to imply otherwise. I’m from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language,” Schumer said in a Senate floor speech. “I shouldn’t have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat.

Comments:

Weasel words, Schmuckie!! And if President Trump or Mitch McConnell had said this about RBG or the Wide Latina, you would be leapfrogging your fellow leftists to get to the CNN cameras to declare your outrage and demand investigations and resignations!! Hypocritical weasel!!

It is not always the words; it's the emotion behind them. I saw and heard the video. He could have been saying, "I'm having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch", and you'd feel the anger behind the words.

"I’m from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language” That excerpt speaks volumes. Chuck Schumer gives leniency to himself but in the case of Donald Trump, he is racist, sexist or whatever "ist" applies.

Schumer’s remarks prompted a rare rebuke by Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, who called the New York Democrats’ threat both “inappropriate” and “dangerous.” Well said, Justice Roberts. Now, Senate GOP, at least Censure him. KAG

Let’s be clear. Schumer knew what he was saying. He is not dumb. He knew where he was, on the steps of the Supreme Court, no less. His motivation appears to have been to stir up the murderous mob before him with a statement he knew would have the desired effect. This was no accident. No slip of the tongue. It was deliberate and provocative and illegal. He mentioned two Justices by name. He was playing to the crowd but in his zeal crossed a line. For that reason, this cannot be ignored. He must be held accountable for what he said regardless of what he said his motivation was. It was no slip of the tongue. It was a threat. Had a Republican issued the same against two Justices, he would be leading the charge and screaming the loudest. We all know he would be the most outraged. We have seen what happens in Washington when democrats commit some kind of egregious behavior. Absolutely nothing. They are permitted to come out and play the victim and accuse others of overreacting for partisan reasons. Time after time democrats skate. Nothing they do or say has any consequences. This has to stop. Schumer cannot be allowed to walk away after giving such a pathetic excuse. He must be held accountable. He should be forced to resign as Minority Leader. No leader should be allowed to remain in that office and make this kind of statement. He knows better. In the past democrats know they suffer no consequences when they boldly attack Republicans. This time it was different. He crossed the line, this was a dangerous outburst. What he did was unlawful. You cannot threaten a Justice of the Supreme Court on the steps of the Supreme Court Building. Words matter. The Minority Leader’s words bear the weight of his office and years of experience. My choice is that he would be forced to resign but I know that will not happen. He therefore, needs to be made an example. He must pay dearly for this breach. If this just all goes away, the democrats will know, once again, that they are immune and able to spew their dangerous rhetoric unimpeded. Grow a backbone Senators. If you want protect the vaunted reputation you all so desperately cling to, censure this man, remove him from his leadership role, and make an example of him to show the world that there are real and important consequences when someone threatens a Supreme Court Justice. Do not let this snake slither away.

So, this is what its like to watch your enemies fall into their own traps. I like it! President Trump has the uncanny ability (God given talent) to force misanthropes to drop their masks. Compare and contrast the mood and demeanor of the crowd at the March for Life and the uplifting and inspiring speech given by our President, to the abortion-loving rabble that aroused Schumer. They reminded me of the pigs into whom Christ cast demons and ran over the edge of a cliff. Senator Schumer should be removed from the Senate, but since that won't happen he cannot be permitted to continue as Minority Leader. I'd call/email my Senators but its a waste of time. I'm white so my email will go to spam in Kamala Sutra's office, and I'm not even sure if DiFi is still alive. Any sightings lately? It should come as no surprise when we are told we didn't hear what we heard, or that wee are too unsophisticated to grasp his true meaning and that while specifically naming two justices he was really speaking about other people. One of the most despicable things about the Biden administration is that, even as it doubles and triples down on the COVID restrictions it wants for Americans, it’s utterly unconcerned about the diseases flooding across the border along with the illegal aliens Biden is unconstitutionally welcoming in. The president and CEO of Greyhound Lines, though, is demanding that, at the very least, its workers and other passengers get protected from the COVID so many illegal aliens bring with them. From the start of his campaign, Biden weaponized the Wuhan virus against Trump. Informed and intelligent people realized very quickly that Trump was moving with extraordinary rapidity

Biden has issued Executive Orders that ban enforcing immigration law while simultaneously inviting in a new wave of illegal immigrants. These EOs also suspend deporting illegal immigrants, even those awaiting trial for felonies and other serious crimes, and signal that all new arrivals will be eligible for social benefits such as healthcare. Cesar Chavez’s struggle in the 1970s and ‘80s can help explain the impact this will have on labor markets in general and working-class Americans in particular. Chavez understood that illegal immigration diminishes workers’ earning power.

It began with throw pillows. Pillows shouldn't matter much, but like every decision we make now, they matter more than you think. The old sofa had to go. It had lasted 25 years, by some miracle. The old sofa was U.S.-made. Only 20% of today's furniture is. It was expensive; the store owner told us we'd be able re-upholster it down the road, though that would be expensive, too. He was right on both counts. He retired. His kids run the store now. We managed to find a new sofa, also made here. A different color. So we needed throw pillows.

For that reason, Democrats have been lying in wait for the opportunity to take out the Supreme Court. Democrats are no longer hiding their disdain for the high court. Democrats openly admit to hostile court-packing plans that would stuff the Supreme Court full of activist judges who would then sign off on everything Democrats couldn't sneak past the voters.

Well when I came into office, I didn't wait for a crisis I took early action to make sure we would have a smooth election," DeSantis said.

Fox News host Dana Perino broke down in tears Thursday while speaking with a domestic violence survivor from Illinois whose 18-month-old son was shot to death by her estranged husband after he returned from jail without having to post bail. Cassandra Tanner Miller has become an advocate for stronger bond conditions as Illinois and other Democrat-run states push to weaken such conditions under the pretense of “social justice” efforts. Tanner was home with her 9-year-old daughter, Camryn, and son Colton when the children’s stepfather, Christopher Michael Miller, broke into the home on Sept. 21, 2019, Fox News reported. Miller was released from jail on something called an “I-bond,”

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (WV) appears to have started to shift his views on the filibuster with remarks that he made on two news shows on Sunday morning. The shift from Manchin comes after he has repeatedly stated that he would not vote to end the filibuster, despite pressure from the far-Left. During the interviews on Sunday, Manchin repeatedly claimed that he was not open to ending the filibuster because he did not want to strip the minority party of their power in the Senate, but signaled that he was open to changing it.Fox News host Chris Wallace asked Manchin if he would consider “reforming the filibuster” if “Republicans

In an open letter released Sunday, Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden urged him to “honor his commitment” and include the Hyde Amendment in Democrats’ $1.9 trillion COVID-19 spending package, writing “we feel used and betrayed.” The letter states: We are very disappointed about the COVID-19 relief package’s exclusion of the Hyde Amendment, a longstanding bipartisan policy that prevents taxpayer funding for abortion. [snip] As pro-life leaders in the evangelical community, we publicly supported President Biden’s candidacy with the understanding that there would be engagement [with] us on the issue of abortion and particularly the Hyde Amendment

If you had any doubts that Meghan Markle is a manipulative piece of work, her bombshell Oprah interview Sunday night dumping on the British monarchy would set you straight. Prince Harry’s American wife accused his family of hateful racism against her baby, claimed they refused to protect her and drove her to the point of suicide. She made the incendiary and implausible charge that when she was pregnant with Archie, the royal family decreed that her unborn son would be denied the title of “prince” because her mixed race meant he might have dark skin.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
