but Used the Wrong Words

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Thursday offered a defiant non-apology for threatening Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, conceding that he “shouldn’t have used the words I did” while making excuses for the statement and claiming Republicans were “manufacturing outrage” over it.
“Of course I didn’t intend to suggest anything other than political and public opinion consequences for the Supreme Court, and it is a gross distortion to imply otherwise. I’m from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language,” Schumer said in a Senate floor speech. “I shouldn’t have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat.

OP is correct, Schumer is an absolute weasel (among other things, he is also a snake, dishonest, and unprincipled). And anyone who buys Schumer's "explanation", has lost their ability to think critically.

It is not always the words; it's the emotion behind them. I saw and heard the video. He could have been saying, "I'm having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch", and you'd feel the anger behind the words.

That excerpt speaks volumes. Chuck Schumer gives leniency to himself but in the case of Donald Trump, he is racist, sexist or whatever "ist" applies.

Schumer’s remarks prompted a rare rebuke by Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, who called the New York Democrats’ threat both “inappropriate” and “dangerous.”
Well said, Justice Roberts.
Now, Senate GOP, at least Censure him.

Let’s be clear. Schumer knew what he was saying. He is not dumb. He knew where he was, on the steps of the Supreme Court, no less. His motivation appears to have been to stir up the murderous mob before him with a statement he knew would have the desired effect. This was no accident. No slip of the tongue. It was deliberate and provocative and illegal. He mentioned two Justices by name. He was playing to the crowd but in his zeal crossed a line. For that reason, this cannot be ignored. He must be held accountable for what he said regardless of what he said his motivation was. It was no slip of the tongue. It was a threat. Had a Republican issued the same against two Justices, he would be leading the charge and screaming the loudest. We all know he would be the most outraged.
We have seen what happens in Washington when democrats commit some kind of egregious behavior. Absolutely nothing. They are permitted to come out and play the victim and accuse others of overreacting for partisan reasons. Time after time democrats skate. Nothing they do or say has any consequences. This has to stop. Schumer cannot be allowed to walk away after giving such a pathetic excuse. He must be held accountable. He should be forced to resign as Minority Leader. No leader should be allowed to remain in that office and make this kind of statement. He knows better. In the past democrats know they suffer no consequences when they boldly attack Republicans. This time it was different. He crossed the line, this was a dangerous outburst. What he did was unlawful. You cannot threaten a Justice of the Supreme Court on the steps of the Supreme Court Building. Words matter. The Minority Leader’s words bear the weight of his office and years of experience. My choice is that he would be forced to resign but I know that will not happen. He therefore, needs to be made an example. He must pay dearly for this breach. If this just all goes away, the democrats will know, once again, that they are immune and able to spew their dangerous rhetoric unimpeded. Grow a backbone Senators. If you want protect the vaunted reputation you all so desperately cling to, censure this man, remove him from his leadership role, and make an example of him to show the world that there are real and important consequences when someone threatens a Supreme Court Justice. Do not let this snake slither away.

So, this is what its like to watch your enemies fall into their own traps. I like it! President Trump has the uncanny ability (God given talent) to force misanthropes to drop their masks. Compare and contrast the mood and demeanor of the crowd at the March for Life and the uplifting and inspiring speech given by our President, to the abortion-loving rabble that aroused Schumer. They reminded me of the pigs into whom Christ cast demons and ran over the edge of a cliff.
Senator Schumer should be removed from the Senate, but since that won't happen he cannot be permitted to continue as Minority Leader. I'd call/email my Senators but its a waste of time. I'm white so my email will go to spam in Kamala Sutra's office, and I'm not even sure if DiFi is still alive. Any sightings lately?
Schumer stepped in big schiff and its up to the rim of his ugly glasses.

I remember when he went after Pres. Trump in the same way. He warned him about going after the intelligence service. He said something to the effect that they had ways of getting back if he tried. They did and we spent three years and millions of dollars trying to get to the bottom of their treachery.

The democrat party is the party of the absurd. Their very existence depends on the rejection of common sense, the obvious, and most of all, the lessons history.
It should come as no surprise when we are told we didn't hear what we heard, or that wee are too unsophisticated to grasp his true meaning and that while specifically naming two justices he was really speaking about other people. That's not rain Chuck, its warm and yellow.
You are going to listen to Schumer regarding foreign policy, tax policy, economics? This man makes the list of only 100 trusted to sit in our senate?

At 69 years Chuck U Schumer doesn't know how to speak and he doesn't know how to man up with an appropriate apology ... not a flimsy excuse.
The senate should censure him but they won't. Except for a few, they're a bunch of milquetoasts. I would like to see Pro Lifers stand up and demand respect not only for the unborn but for the Justices of the court. The American people across the USA will not forget this.

There is a set up going on that we will not find out about until RBG retires and Chuck U is making a grand spectacle now so that when the real plan for destroying the next SC nominee presented by the President comes down, all of the groundwork has been laid. Chuck U is being outrageous now so that the public will be desensitized for the next step.

Chuckie, like most dems, is better at stealthily stabbing you in the back rather than frontal assaults. When they try to do it, they think they can say whatever they want. There are dozens of them who are on the news regularly and get really ugly and threatening and media NEVER criticizes them for going much further overboard than Trump has or ever will.
I hope they censure him. Not that it will make any difference. Dems are shameless.

Take note - Crats never apologize for aberrant behavior - ever. Even when they do apologize they don't mean it, as they immediately pivot to pointing their finger at someone else. As usual, their ire gets around to blaming Trump for something or other. It's always but Trump did, Trump said, Trump was mean, Trump is evil, Trump is Hitler, Trump is Stalin, Trump hates transgenders, etc. Unfortunately, Shoomer will skate and bad behavior will once again go unpunished. Sets a great example for all, doesn't it.....

It's good to see this pile of shumer recognized for what he is. He thinks that he has some dispensation that allows him to criticize the court where you and I would not get away with it. This was not just a "mis-speak", it was a very deliberately uttered threat of political or some other type of retribution against justices who, according to Schumer, don't vote the way that he wants them to vote..
