What Sanders Supporters
Are Telling Themselves Now

“Not me, us.” The message that Bernie Sanders has campaigned on throughout the 2020 primary became a self-soothing mantra for his supporters last night. At a bar in Washington, D.C.’s Penn Quarter neighborhood—just blocks from the theater where Abraham Lincoln was shot—a group of more than 100 Sanders followers stood, shoulder to shoulder, facing two massive projector screens, as results from Super Tuesday states trickled in. The event, hosted by a local Democratic Socialists of America group, had all the hallmarks of a gathering of Bernie fans: a patchwork of flannel shirts, scattered baskets of red-rose buttons, and very few people over the age of 35. Yet the mood was uncharacteristically somber.

Comments:

The young, "ardent supporters" didn't turn out in the necessary numbers. We could have told Sanders that would happen.

Study the goofy faces in that crowd of snowflake morons. Each one has a glint of Bernie's insanity behind dull eyes.

FTA-a member visiting from the Las Vegas DSA chapter climbed up on a sticky wooden chair to advertise a benefit concert for migrants in a detention center in Tijuana. “No matter what happens,” he reminded the crowd, “we are a movement of righteous anger and love!” Hmm how typical left wing, anger and love with some violence thrown in. Also I do like seeing they ID themselves as socialists. Sunlight cannot bleach and destroy the harmful mold unless it comes out into the light.

What the Sanders supporters have not yet realized, or admitted, is that the DNC has already screwed Bernie out of the nomination. The DNC owns the MSM and the narrative will now be all good for Biden, and not so much for Bernie. Delegates are now being bought, or having arms painfully twisted, in preparation for the convention. The snowflakes are about to relearn an old lesson from four years ago!

Leftist and anti-American dingbats tend to clot up into various disgusting little groups. The problem is that the infection is growing. Bernie won't ever be elected higher than he is now. Biden, the same. But these nutty, angry, leftists will continue to undermine the country, like termites in the woodwork, sad to say.

“I’ll tell you a funny story,” said Mitch Daniels, the president of Purdue University. It was the day before the first home football game of the season and he was sitting in his corner office, overlooking the postcard-perfect quad. “So the cost of a year of undergraduate college at Purdue University, tuition and fees, is $9,992. I’m proud of that number. “One day I’m looking at one of those college guides, and it said, ‘Tuition and fees: $10,002.’ I called up our people and said, ‘Lookit here, there’s a mistake. You got the wrong number.’ They said, ‘That’s not a mistake.’ I said, ‘Yes, it is. Believe me. I know.’

On March 6, 1836, after 13 days of intermittent fighting, the Battle of the Alamo comes to a gruesome end, capping off a pivotal moment in the Texas Revolution. Mexican forces were victorious in recapturing the fort, and nearly all of the roughly 200 Texan defenders—including legendary frontiersman Davy Crockett—died. Thirteen days earlier, on February 23, Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna ordered a siege of the Alamo Mission (near present-day San Antonio), which had been occupied by rebel Texas forces since December. An army of over 1,000 Mexican soldiers began descending on the makeshift fort and setting up artillery.

For decades, the cliché about American political parties has gone that "Republicans fall in line, while Democrats fall in love." But for a significant portion of today's Democratic electorate, that is not the case. Joe Biden's campaign came back from the brink of death on Super Tuesday, on the winds of a sudden burst of coordinated support from the Democratic establishment. (Snip)But this flash coronation wasn't because Biden convinced his competitors that he had the best policies or the best temperament to take on Donald Trump. There is one reason and one reason alone the establishment has rallied around Biden: He is not Bernie Sanders.

AUSTIN, Texas — Wendy Davis has won the Democratic nomination in Texas’ Congressional District 21. She will run against incumbent Chip Roy in the general election on Nov. 3 to determine who will represent the district in the U.S. House of Representatives. AP called the race as Davis was ahead by a wide margin over her opponent, Jennie Lou Leeder. Davis rose to fame after delivering a nearly 13-hour filibuster as a Texas State Senator in 2013. In 2014, Davis lost to Gov. Greg Abbott in Texas’ gubernatorial race. Texas’ Congressional District 21 spans from Austin to San Antonio and covers Blanco and Gillespie counties.

A Brokered Convention Would

Brokered conventions are the fan fiction of political junkies. They’re rich in dramatic possibilities, and can fill a mundane process with intrigue. In every presidential election, the prospect of a brokered convention is raised not because it is likely but because it is fun to discuss the what-ifs and to imagine the convention as something other than the choreographed boredom it has become. But now that a convention beginning without a clear nominee is more plausible, the amusing hypothetical has given way to a nightmarish reality. A contested convention would be an opportunity for a political party to tear itself to pieces on live television.

Bernie Sanders faced more pointed attacks last night over his potential vulnerabilities than he ever has at a debate. But the blustery and disorderly session once again failed to fully explore what could be the Vermont senator’s greatest general-election weakness: the massive size and scope of his spending and tax proposals, which, depending on the estimate, would cost $50 trillion to $60 trillion over the next 10 years. That would roughly double the size of the federal government, an unprecedented increase outside of wartime. More so than in any previous session, Sanders at times seemed rattled and tentative as his rivals subjected him to a crossfire of criticism—

Fifty years ago, the Broadway musical was marking time. The songwriters of the pre-rock era were all past their prime, and except for Burt Bacharach and Hal David in Promises, Promises and James Rado and Gerome Ragni in Hair, none of their successors was writing scores that made idiomatic use of contemporary pop music, much less producing shows whose subject matter reflected the fast-growing social complexities of modern American culture. Then, in the spring of 1970, Stephen Sondheim, a 40-year-old lyricist best known for writing the words to Leonard Bernstein’s music in West Side Story (1957) and Jule Styne’s in Gypsy (1959), teamed up with George Furth on a plotless show

“People across this country — Republicans, independents, and Democrats — agree that our top priority has to be fighting corruption in Washington,” Massachusets Sen. I’m not cozying up to super PACs.” For rank-and-file Democrats, who take it as a matter of faith that "corrupt" campaign finance is the root of all evil in U.S. politics, this is a powerful message because recent history has proven that no amount of facts or evidence can dissuade them from this dogma. Arizona House Republicans passed a controversial bill that would ban biological males who identify as transgender females from participating in women's sports. Supporters say the "Save Women's Sports Act" is intended to prevent young girls and women in K-12 schools, community colleges, and state universities from being forced to compete against biological males, but opponents argue it allows for discrimination. House Bill 2706 passed along party lines 31-29 and is headed to the state Senate, FOX 10 reports. The bill is strongly opposed by Democrats.
