You probably haven’t heard about the sixteen-year-old girl who got murdered by five other kids early last Monday afternoon on a quiet little street in the quiet little town of Biloxi, Mississippi. If the circumstances had been altered slightly, it would be the only news story you’d heard about all week. You’d also continue to hear about it for years. Madison Harris, 16, had been living at her paternal grandmother’s house since her parents were divorced four years ago.

I'll tell you what, Mr. Goad; how about you set forth the facts of the matter and THEN editorialize. The article was a little too convoluted to follow. I will check out the Biloxi newspaper, though.

This is in my area, it happens a lot here. Parents need to be watchful of who the friends of their kids are. Be more involved for your kids sake, who cares if they get mad, it might just save their lives.
Remember the girl found burned in her car, not too long ago.

The most obvious thing to take away here is: You lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. No wait, lets not blame dogs. But stay away from blacks!

We shall overcome.... More like we shall ghettoize every aspect of American culture. But hey, Joe Biden has the black vote.

#4 It is my opinion that any contact with a black person increases your chance of dying about 80 percent. Eye contact, saying hello, attending school. Any contact.

Mr. Goad has forgotten the Golden Rule of the media: 'Thou Shall not Even Hint About Black Crime'. It's racis' and probably not news anyway.
( #6; I rode the subway for years, and that was decades ago.)

All you need to do is look up her and her friend Paul on Facebook to see that here whole group of friends are, lets say, a certain demographic.

Faced with an unknown male, in today's America you have THIRTEEN times more possibilities of suffering bodily harm or worse if the man is black instead of white. It he is Asian the ratio is almost astronomical. Wonder what it was during slavery? Yes, I am fully aware of what question implies.Rather than racism it expresses my desperation.

For someone not a member of the Biloxi police force, Goad did a fine job of laying out facts as he knows them. As for the editorialization, those of us who follow CTH and read the reports there on the Jessica Chambers murder know what happened after she was brutally set afire and left to die. Nothing. Having been involved with black boys and some sort of drug operation, she was writing a book …. she even talked with a female writer who came to town for a church meeting. The author encouraged her to go forward with her project; told her she would be available to help her. Snitching. A surefire way to get oneself killed in that kind of environment.
And his point about the silence that surrounds these murders is a good one. We are still hearing about Trayvon, Trayvon, Trayvon. And poor ole Eric Garner and Mike Brown. Ad infinitum, ad nauseum...

Goad isn’t the only one writing about this. Paul Kersey has this to say:
She was a white teenager, living in the post-racial society of Biloxi, Mississippi, where integration had occurred and members of the white working-class were beginning to emulate in dress and speech (increasingly in appearance) the culture of blacks.
We aren’t supposed to notice Madison Harris was a white female, and her five killers are black. In fact, in the current year, to notice such racial realities behind this murder is a far graver sin than the murder of Ms. Harris itself.
Nonetheless, Her Name is Madison Harris. Were the races reversed, your death would be a national story, with the media trying to find ways to connect this modern-day lynching to Emmett Till. As is it, few outside of Biloxi and those reading piece will ever stumble across how you died and who/whom took your life.
There is no double standard in America, only The Standard, dictating white people have no collective interests or concerns, and that violent interracial crime can only be reported if a white person (thereby all white people in the USA are guilty) is the suspect.

Just sick. Blacks proclaim perpetual victimhood but they certainly know how to use their skin color to their advantage. To be clear, it's not just skin color, what is wrong with many of them goes all the way to the bone.

After all the turmoil of the 60s, I thought that racial division would slowly but surely die out. Thanks to the Obama administration and the fifth column media, we now have racial division like never before! There are no words for the murder of this girl!

Poor white kids MUST act black? Had she acted white (whatever that is) she might still be alive. Every white girl should know that if you wanna burn the coal, you gotta pay the toll. Doesn’t matter if he’s a millionaire, he’s still gonna physically beat on you. That’s just the way it is and always will be.

I've never lived in the south. Twenty years ago, my back door neighbor was a principal of a local high school that had a modest percentage of African American students. He told me that the biggest problem with these students was that the black boys would favor dating naive white girls, with the result that almost no black girls were asked out to prom, etc. He said the black girls were always angry with the black boys and any white girls who "hung out" with the black boys.
