You probably haven’t heard about the sixteen-year-old girl who got murdered by five other kids early last Monday afternoon on a quiet little street in the quiet little town of Biloxi, Mississippi. If the circumstances had been altered slightly, it would be the only news story you’d heard about all week. You’d also continue to hear about it for years. Madison Harris, 16, had been living at her paternal grandmother’s house since her parents were divorced four years ago.

A United Airlines flight bound for Hawaii was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from Denver after suffering major damage to one of its engines and dropping huge pieces of debris over a neighborhood in Colorado. Flight UA328, which was carrying 231 passengers and 10 crew members, suffered serious engine failure shortly after takeoff from Denver, the Federal Aviation Administration said on Saturday. There were no reported injuries either on board or on the ground.

It is one of the ironies of the trial of President Trump on a charge of incitement of insurrection that the remarks most likely to be studied by historians is the speech delivered after the verdict — not guilty — was brought in. It was after the Senate ordered the outcome be sent for safekeeping with the Secretary of State, and the court of impeachment was adjourned, that Senator Mitch McConnell unloaded. His speech is likely to go down as one of the most remarkable ever delivered in the Senate.
Megyn Kelly is leading criticism of a Los Angeles Times columnist who compared her neighbors to Nazi sympathizers and Hezbollah because they backed Donald Trump. The Brooklyn-based author, Virginia Heffernan, wrote in Friday's paper that the 'Trumpites' next door to their 'pandemic getaway' in upstate New York had plowed her drive after a snow storm.

The Wyoming Republican Party voted overwhelmingly Saturday to censure U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney for voting to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Only eight of the 74-member state GOP's central committee stood to oppose censure in a vote that didn't proceed to a formal count. The censure document accused Cheney of voting to impeach even though the U.S. House didn't offer Trump 'formal hearing or due process.'

John Weaver, a longtime Republican aide and one of the co-founders of the Lincoln Project, has admitted to sending 'inappropriate messages' to men promising them employment.
The letter from Weaver, obtained by Axios, comes as several men have come forward this week sharing DMs the political adviser allegedly sent them.
'To the men I made uncomfortable through my messages that I viewed as consensual mutual conversations at the time: I am truly sorry,' said Weaver, who is married with two kids, but admitted to being gay in the letter.

Police have charged 32 men in West Yorkshire with more than 150 child sex offences against eight teenage girls. The allegations against the defendants, all largely from the Kirklees area, are from 1999 to 2012 and involve offences allegedly committed against the female victims, who were aged between 13 and 16 years old at the time. Some of the victims were also subjected to offences when they were young adults.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man.
Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
