Anyone in the business of making predictions about American politics these days shouldn’t be. But an examination of some current data and observations as of today can at least provide a general sense of direction for the 2020 presidential election in just 35 weeks and the prospects for President Donald Trump’s reelection. Historically, they are

Democrats are really busy registering vast numbers of illegal and non-existent voters. Trump will have to win by a YUGE margin!

And then there will be the "moderate" third-party #NeverTrump RINO candidate to siphon votes from PDT's total to flip close states away from him. Someone like...I dunno...Mitt.

Vote fraud is the real opponent he faces. How to address that resolutely and fearlessly is the challenge.

We are witnessing exactly what will happen if a democrap, any democrap wins in November. Take a look at the stock market. A 3000 point drop in less than a week. Imagine what will happen the next trading day after the 2020 election. A 3000 point drop will look small compared to what's in store if the Bern is elected. We won't need a virus or a news media drumming up the, "We're all gonna die" drum beat to find out.

It’s a classic political move: Do something you know an opponent doesn’t want to do and challenge him to match you. That’s what Mike Bloomberg did Thursday to Bernie Sanders, the front-runner in the Democratic primary contests. Thirty-six hours before the South Carolina primary Bloomberg is trying to raise renewed concerns about the health of Sanders, who suffered a heart attack in October. The New Yorker’s campaign released detailed blood flow numbers from Bloomberg’s latest physical exam last summer. Both men are 78, older than anyone ever entering or exiting the White House.

It may come as something of a surprise to Barack Obama that he has already endorsed a fellow Democrat for their party’s presidential nomination in Milwaukee come mid-July. According to a new Morning Consult poll, most Democrats know that the former president has announced his pick to oust that usurper Donald Trump from the White House. In fact, 60 percent of likely Democratic primary voters know that

Oh, how Americans love to hate hypocrisy! [Snip] A most frequent target for hypocrisy, naturally, is members of Congress, who as a group routinely earn low job approval ratings from Americans, often in the teens. Now, come to find out, Americans are hypocritical about hypocrisy. Gallup’s just done a new survey. It found that voters, who routinely disapprove of the job those clowns on Capitol Hill are doing, really like the job their own congressman is doing. Fifty-nine percent say

The U.S. military is about to experience another first: Barring injury in the next few weeks, an enlisted soldier is about to become the first female Green Beret in Army history. That comes seven years after the Pentagon lifted its longtime ban on women serving in combat roles. As with all special operators, the military does not release names or identification. But the woman is expected to graduate soon from the rugged, roughly year-long qualification course and become a Special Forces engineer sergeant. Another woman is also making her way through the demanding yearlong course. The length of the course depends on the operator’s specialty

I said, It's official Senior citizens are getting their own reality show. (Snip) Are you entering your golden years and looking for romance? The Producers of ‘The Bachelor’ are looking for active and outgoing single men and women In Their Golden Years for a new exciting dating show! Hopefully, the new dating game isn’t too very exciting or they risk losing some cast members. And there shouldn’t be a lot of stair-climbing in the mansion. The future show also shouldn’t air between 5 and 6 p.m. when local restaurants offer their discounted Blue Plate Specials. And as seniors know now, 9 p.m. is the new midnight. So that’s too late to show it. Yes, they could record it.

Have you noticed somehow once-pedestrian television ratings, those arcane numbers that used to be the subject of churning stomachs only within that industry, have come now to resemble sports franchises, each with its own avid fan base rooting for their favorite, as if it mattered? As a reflection of the bitter partisan splits affecting many Americans, people privately cheer good news for one network and bad news for another. And vice versa. Fox News is kind of like the dominant New England Patriots that win a lot — too much in the eyes of non-New Englanders. Fox News has won a lot of ratings competitions since Rupert Murdoch founded it

Early February was supposed to be a promising time for Democrats launching the actual competition to pick their David to slay the Republican Goliath, Donald Trump, come November. It hasn’t turned out that way. In fact, it’s turned out to be a threatening mess for them. [Snip] Where to start? The Democratic field was massive and diverse last spring. No longer. A strength of America’s enduring political parties, among the oldest surviving such groupings in the world, is their malleability. Like chameleons and some sea creatures, they can change colors depending on their environment. [Snip] The modern American political reality is that the Republican and Democratic parties today are basically just brand names. They’ve become hollow, fundraising fuselages of once vibrant organizations that get captured every four or eight years by someone new with a contemporary personality packaged for the times. On paper, Joe Biden appears to be maintaining a modest, if wobbly lead for the Democrats’ presidential nomination this year. He leads nationally among Democrats, as he has for the last year, even before his April announcement. Biden is ahead of the relentless Sen. Bernie Sanders nationally, a margin that could evaporate without wins. However, this isn’t a national race yet. It’s a four-state warm-up sprint that has

Once upon a time, news in these United States was, well, new. And people wanted to know the latest happenings. Now, however, much of the nation’s news and the people in it — even what they end up saying during these events — are pretty predictable. That’s in large part because so many Americans have fallen into ruts of partisan thinking that aren’t really thinking at all, just safe recitations of talking points that require no listening or manners. Take this impeachment business, please. Months before

Judging by the huge sums of money Americans are forking over to politicians this cycle, they are very much into the 2020 presidential cycle, even before any primary votes are cast or counted. [Snip] As the Iowa caucuses loom on Feb. 3, the remaining contenders are sucking up vast amounts of smaller donations, indicating grassroots enthusiasm but also fueling what could well be an extended and divisive campaign with more survivors fighting longer than usual. Lengthy campaigns are great for candidate hopes and television revenues. But they seriously curtail the time left for Democrats to rally behind the actual nominee as

Should white people sing black spirituals? Western Michigan University is grappling with that question after a black student was triggered and suffered a social media meltdown when a predominantly white choir sang “Wade in the Water.” “So apparently Western Michigan University thinks it’s ok for WHITE peoples to sing negro spirituals while the instructor talking bout ‘these songs don’t belong to one race.’ They sure as hell DO,” WMU music major Shaylee Faught wrote on a social media now seen by more than 1 million people. A seven-month deployment in Afghanistan shrouded in secrecy is a key piece of Pete Buttigieg’s pitch to voters in the 2020 presidential race, with the former South Bend, Indiana, mayor arguing that his status as a veteran and his time in a war zone give him foreign policy gravitas and first-hand military experience none of his Democratic primary rivals can claim. That supposed strength, however, ultimately could become a weakness in a potential general election match-up with President Trump and a Republican Party that is already eyeing ways to turn Mr. Buttigieg’s time as a Naval intelligence officer into a liability. Some of those who served alongside Mr. Buttigieg in Afghanistan

A number of pundits have recently argued that younger voters, especially those under 30, are less inclined to be bothered when they hear the word “socialism,” since they have no firsthand memory of the Cold War. To some extent, this must be true. Those who weren’t alive during socialism’s cruelest catastrophes — or even its many banal failures — will be less put off by the idea. Then again, if a presidential candidate were praising the excellent public transportation system of the Third Reich or going on about the some alleged benefit to American slavery, they would rightly be chased from the public square forever

Weinstein was convicted Monday on two felony charges: criminal sex act in the first-degree for assaulting Miriam Haley by forcible oral sex in 2006, and rape in the third-degree for raping Jessica Mann in a New York City hotel room in 2013.

Rep. John Garamendi, D-Calif., appeared to threaten Donald Trump Jr., the president's son, on Friday, warning that they better not be in close quarters or they could have a "serious altercation." He made those comments on MSNBC while discussing the coronavirus. MSNBC anchor Hallie Jackson had asked the congressman about Trump Jr.'s argument that Democrats were hoping for deaths from the coronavirus so it could end his father's winning streak. "He should not be near me when he says that," Garamendi responded. "There would be a serious altercation. That is just totally outrageous. That is totally outrageous."

Chicago Public Schools will no longer observe Columbus Day. The Board of Education voted to change the name to Indigenous Peoples’ Day as other cities and school districts have done. The board’s vote on the issue was 5-2. The school holiday will be on Oct. 12 this year. CPS is working to develop new curriculum to more accurately tell the history of Native American cultures. The holiday has been controversial because the day has been used to commemorate Italian explorer Christopher Columbus who claimed to have discovered America in 1492. The area was already populated by indigenous people and some have argued that Columbus’ actions led to their genocide.

The Democrats’ poster girl for America-hating could swing Minnesota’s 10 electoral votes to President Trump in November. Representative Ilhan Omar now obviously enjoys trolling Republicans, perhaps lulled into complacency by the MSM’s general leftism and Minnesota media’s complicity in suppressing news of her apparent immigration fraud by marrying her brother (Scott Johnson of Powerline deserves a Pulitzer Prize for his role in exposing this major scandal, but won’t get one because the Pulitzer committee reflects the leftist bias of the mainstream journalism community).

Colorado Springs, Colo.—The U.S. Air Force changed lyrics in its service anthem by dropping gender references that exclude women. The change announced Thursday by the Air Force chief of staff, Gen. The change originated when female Air Force Academy cadets asked Goldfein why
