Washington - President Donald Trump pushed back Wednesday against criticism that his administration isn’t doing enough to meet the coronavirus threat, as lawmakers called for giving disease fighters much more money than the $2.5 billion the White House has requested.
A day after he sought to minimize fears of the virus spreading widely across the U.S., Trump prepared to hold a White House press conference with experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
He tweeted that the CDC, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and others in the administration are “doing a great job with respect to Coronavirus!” and accused some news outlets of “panicking markets.”

HOw would Chuckie know more money is needed? Has Chuckie ever displayed a modicum of intelligence? Or is Chuckie just making up a big number to make Trump look bad?

Ah, Democrats not wanting to let a good crisis go to waste, huh?
Trump should also mention how the need to control the borders has more to do than just to prevent illegal immigration.

Rush has good figures on comparison of flu deaths with coronavirus infection, so much media hype to blame Trump for yet another false flag and take the heat off their horrible collection of presidential wannabees Maybe our presstitutes could come up with stats on how many people are surviving this latest virus. It is difficult to make comparisons with China, their population numbers and conditions and foods are so different from the US. If only our borders were closed we'd be pretty safe from most of the current afflictions.

Sorry Chucky, $2.5 billion should do the job. The only thing that democrats do is spend. Remember how well they spent the economic stimulus package. They were replacing windows in a building that was closed down and states received money for shovel ready projects that did NOT exist.

After seeing how the Biden family builds up their off shore funds, I suspect that Schumer is planning on building up his retirement with some of the money.

A blind person could’ve seen the impending manipulation by the left on this issue a mile away. I sincerely hope President Trump and his administration saw it, as well, and have a strategy to combat the demedia attempts to create panic, publicly, politically and financially. People, by and large, are stupid and fearful. Those traits for the left are like blood in the water for sharks, and they are salivating at the prospect of a nice big meal.

MSM tornado. There is a vaccine on the way and the death toll is under 2%. By the time it gets here it will be as good as gone. That said if one person dies of flu like symptoms it will be Trump's fault.

As for Chuckie, Fox just announced that the ebola money hadn’t been spent. Oh, but there are still some cases in Africa, so we can’t use that!!! Watch me…move it over… Charity begins at home.

A billion doesn't go very far now days, especially if you're a democrat. Heck, Bernies and Lizzies health care bill will only cost 30 Trillion, so what's 8 billion?

Something to consider.

I take 3,000 units of vitamin D every morning, and haven't ever had the flu, get a cold about every other year or so. My wife just finished two weeks of a really nasty cold, I never got it. Just one old guy's experience, but there are studies supporting it.
Oh, if you worry about "overdosing on vitamin D", with full body exposure in the summer for an hour or two (the max you want without burning) will make between 10,000 and 25,000 units of vitamin D. It is virtually impossible to get any significant vitamin D from the sun in winter if you live at the middle of the USA or north, the sun's rays are too weak, even if you did stay out in a bathing suit in 20F weather. Grin.
I have often wondered if this is the underlying reason that "the flu season" happens to coincide with the time when we don't get any natural vitamin D from the sun in the mid-to-northern USA, and much less in even southern USA.
For what it's worth. And at my dose of 3,000 units per day, a $4.50 bottle of Vitamin D from Walmart
lasts for 40 days, so ~11 cents a day to maybe decrease your chances of getting the flu?

Oh, and my wife takes only vitamin C, a multivitamin and calcium supplements. The multivitamins have 500 Units of Vitamin D, IMO, too little to be meaningful, given the amounts that your body makes naturally as some sort of a guide as to how much you should have.

I hope somebody tells Trump and they agree, and get the money. More WALL

One of the top experts on viruses has stated that this one is just a cold weather thing like the flu and that it will disappear as the weather warms up. After I heard his statement, I saw a map of all the countries where the virus is showing up. Guess what? It’s not showing up much at all in countries or continents south of the equator where it is summer this time of year.
