Can Bloomberg ever recover from
his disastrous debate debut?

Michael Bloomberg is at the crux of a battle of clichés. America may be the land of second chances, but you never get a second chance to make a first impression. The level of saturation of Bloomberg’s television advertising actually is working against him now. Few are potential voters who have not been bombarded with the theme that “Mike can get it done,” featuring a candidate who appears strong yet accessible, powerful but caring. (snip) Americans saw an uncertain-yet-imperious, cold, little man being bullied and out-talked by Elizabeth Warren, mumbling excuses for non-disclosure agreements that lasted just a few days until the mighty oligarch capitulated to the fake Native American.

We have here a little man with a Napoleonic complex and a bottomless hoard of money like Scrooge McDuck. He hates Trump so much that he’ll spend what it takes to get Trump out of office. Mike will stay in until the bitter end, no matter what. He got himself into this and there is no way now that he can get out without losing face by quitting.

Am no admirer of Bloomie but in that Food Fight some people call a debate the cards were stacked against him. After Heap Big Pile of Buffalo Dung launched her personal attack on him if he had responded with an attack on her she would have screeched see he is a misogynist and don't hit me I'm a girl. Mini Mikey got where he is in life by working his behind off and Grey Beaver is where she is by lying her behind off. Am worried with all the chaos on the Left the Right may become over confident.

Mayor Big Gulp is spending a multitude of fortunes trying to defeat Trump, and--as Lifson writes, and I agree--these "Mike can do it" commercials lead me to ask the question: Do what? This diminutive nabob has always been a liberal Democrat, even when he self-identified as a Republican in order to get elected mayor. Now he inundates the airwaves with his hazy promises to do something different from what Trump is doing at a time of widespread economic prosperity. Not only that, I'm already tired of these ubiquitous commercials. He really is wearing out whatever welcome he might have received by being in our faces all the time. Here's a prediction: If Blewme, Bernie, or another leftoid replaces Trump, I'm going to sell everything and short the market like there's no tomorrow. The Left want the economy to crash before November. That's patriotism? These people are, consciously, enemies of American prosperity. Moreover, they are enemies of Americans. Dodd-Frank superinflated the real estate market, leading to the collapse of real estate, the banking sector, and the overall economy. GWB warned the Democrats over and over not to do this, but they had a majority. What happened was totally predictable. The Democrats were 100% responsible for the crash, but the crash happened while Bush was in office, so the Democrats blamed him. More projection from the great stereopticon where Democrat fault dissolves into Republican blame.

I still predict that the last Democrat candidates remaining by the convention will be Sanders and Bloomberg. Sanders, because he has the solid support of 30-40% of the Democratic primary voters, which Trump proved is all you need when there are a half dozen candidates splitting the rest. Bloomberg, because he has unlimited funds to spend regardless of whether he ever wins a primary. The rest of the candidates are wholly dependent on OPM (other people's money) and they are quickly running out of it. Big money donors won't keep shovelling money into losing campaigns. The other candidates have been dropping like flies since Iowa and will continue dropping unless they score some big wins. Meanwhile, as the other candidates continue to drop out, Bloomberg will start to actually win some delegates. After Super Tuesday, Sanders and Bloomberg will be the only ones left in the race. As long as Sanders does not win an outright majority, Bloomberg is in it until the end.

Bloomberg is a heartless sociopath. Bloomberg has no core values. He is defined by what he NEEDS to be at any given moment to achieve his personal goals. He is morally vapid. He might be intelligent, but he is most definitely a fool.

It won't matter. In the end, the hidden hands in the Democrat party will force him down the throats of the delegates because they fear Bernie the Red more than they fear the violent Bernie supporters.

I can't imagine what it must be like to be a democrat and try to go to sleep at night. Instead of seeing nice calm sheep floating over the fence you would see Little Rich Mikey, Little Gay Pete, Crazy Commie Bernie and Old Gropey Joe all promising to make your future better than it already is by collecting a huge chunk of your money for redistribution.

It’s unfortunate that live coverage of President Trump receiving what AP calls “adulation from a massive, colorful crowd” of 125,000 took place during the wee hours of the morning for most Americans. But the consequences of his roughly 36 hours in India will be long lasting and important. (snip) With Trump triumphing so visibly, the Trump-hating media are reduced to utterly petty snark, such as this pathetic tweet from CNN: The President, whose diet is often a rotation of steaks, burgers and meatloaf, faces a potential shock as he prepares to travel to three Indian cities this week.

While Michael Bloomberg's Nevada debate performance was justly and widely panned, he attacked Bernie Sanders effectively, demonstrating he's probably the only candidate who can derail the Vermont senator's nomination. By the same token, Sanders can wreck Bloomberg's hopes by mobilizing his own base against the billionaire at the convention or even running as an independent candidate. Each man has the ability to take the other one down, and that dynamic is the key to who eventually wins the nomination. (snip) There is a real possibility that these two will knock each other out, leaving the door open for the compromise candidate closest to being a semi-normal human.

Once again operating out of their well-worn playbook, the Democrats are spinning the cylinder and placing the gun to their heads in suggesting the Russians are backing the President’s re-election, and once again they missed the empty chamber and fired a bullet into their leading candidate. In 2016, when they claimed that Trump was Russia’s choice and had secured his election, they ended up with highlighting to voters what the media had covered up: It was Hillary Clinton who approved the Uranium One sale of 20% of U.S. Uranium.

The pieces are falling in place for a complete debacle for the Democrats, up to and including a convention walkout and riots if Michael Bloomberg’s plans to gain the nomination succeed. Under that scenario, an embittered radical wing of the party convinced that they have been betrayed in favor of a greedy plutocrat would not provide the necessary votes to defeat President trump’s ambitions for a second term. More likely, they would back a third-party radical candidate, or stay home. But not before rioting in protest on a scale that would make the riots at the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention

Bernie Sanders came to Denver last weekend and for fun I took my family to his Sunday night rally. Since we are all Republicans, this was a true walk on the wild side in the form of opposition research. There were no lines to get in, other than at the obligatory metal detectors now seen at everything from political rallies to sporting events.
