Bloomberg openly plans to win
the Dems’ nomination by a

The pieces are falling in place for a complete debacle for the Democrats, up to and including a convention walkout and riots if Michael Bloomberg’s plans to gain the nomination succeed. Under that scenario, an embittered radical wing of the party convinced that they have been betrayed in favor of a greedy plutocrat would not provide the necessary votes to defeat President trump’s ambitions for a second term. More likely, they would back a third-party radical candidate, or stay home. But not before rioting in protest on a scale that would make the riots at the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention

I remember Chicago ‘68 - it was a beauty. Tear gas, flying bottles and rocks and the Cops clubbing hippies to the ground and dragging them off to the paddy wagon - it was a sight to behold. Play it again Sam.....

What convinces anyone that his campaign is anything but a Dump Trump ploy, with the Dem Presidential nomination fight as anything but a backdrop? He has already spent $400 million on what? Mostly ads attacking PDT. Brokered convention...yeah, sure. The pros are already working to handle that eventuality, which is unlikely as the field shrinks. Super Tuesday will see at least two more fall out. Dempublican Bloomie won't be one of them...he's whizzing away his own money for a different cause.

This is going to be festinating to watch the convention implode. I don't think it will be like 1968, the police will be told to stand down and let the Bernie supporters "blow off some steam" and destroy the city of Milwaukee. Most of the important people will be safe back in their five-star accommodations back in Chicago.

Other than WHO ends up being the nominee, a "brokered"convention isn't going to change much-- The more traditional, NON-SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST candidates like Tulsi and Bite Me are not being supported in the media.... Is there a "socialist lite" person who has a ghost of a chance against Mr. Trump? The democrat party of JFK is LONG GONE, and there is no way America could ever survive long under dictatorial socialism. When the Rule of Law is disregarded as is now the custom of the Piglosi/Chuck U Schumers, the CHECKS AND BALANCES of the Constitution don't prevent tyranny from ruling by "executive order" FIATS a la Nobama.

Another big difference between Chicago '68 and Milwaukee '20 is that all we had to watch the turmoil with in '68 was grainy 21 inch 4:3 TV's. Now, we'll be able to watch an hysterical Bernie crying havoc on 50 inches plus of widescreen HiDef color. Could be fun. I wonder if AOC will wear a Che tee shirt and a red beret.

DOOM knows he cannot win so he plans to buy the nomination taking it out of the hands of voters. This is NOT a winning strategy. If DOOM actually succeeds at buying the nomination, everyone will see just how corrupt the Democratic party truly is.

Forget about rules and delegates. If Sanders gets more popular votes in the Democratic primaries and caucuses than the other candidates, even if it is just a plurality, doesn’t that make him the “real” nominee? For three years now, Democrats have been saying that Hillary Clinton really won the 2016 election since she won a plurality of the popular vote.

Super excited for a brokered convention. A large portion of Sanders voters will feel disenfranchised and stay home from the polls creating a pathway for republicans to take over the house, particularly in light blue states.

Since the current Democrat Party is dishonest and without scruples there is no doubt that Bloomberg will be able to payoff enough of the Democrat Party leadership to get the Democrat nomination. After that is when the real run up to the general election starts.

When the bullscat hits the fan in Milwaukee, I'd not want to be within 200 miles of the city. "Bern baby Burn" will take on a whole new meaning. We have seen what these Bernie people are like. Not that they won't vote for the DNCs choice when November comes, since they are mindless drones, but they have so little impulse control, they will tear the city apart.

And the Bernie Bro says that if Bernie isn't nominated, "Milwaukee will f____ burn". Sounds like fun for the Milwaukee PD. I suggest that they consider bringing in officers from surrounding suburbs, and stocking up on riot gear and lots and lots of pepper spray. They are losing it, big time. Lifson's final two sentences are right on target. "The reality is that mass psychosis always leads to self-destructive behavior. And Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, a psychiatric disorder on a mass scale."

The Democrats have truly lost their minds. For years they have wailed about how our borders should all be open, there should be no walls. When President Trump six weeks ago banned travelers from China, they called him a racist, of course. Now that the virus has spread, they are blaming him, accusing him of an anemic response. Wrong. The country has a pandemic plan in place, no matter who is president, but Trump has been on the case since China informed the world of the virus breakout. A task force to address this virus has been in place for at least a month.

On Wednesday, an angry ex-employee got a gun, put a silencer on it, went to the MillersCoors facility where he had once worked, and shot five people to death before shooting himself. (snip)The reason for the media’s silence became apparent when the media identified the shooter: 51-year-old Anthony Ferrill was black. This meant that the media couldn’t use its white supremacist narrative to justify grabbing guns. The narrative broke down even further when social media posts revealed that Ferrill may well have been an Elizabeth Warren supporter

While Michael Bloomberg's Nevada debate performance was justly and widely panned, he attacked Bernie Sanders effectively, demonstrating he's probably the only candidate who can derail the Vermont senator's nomination. By the same token, Sanders can wreck Bloomberg's hopes by mobilizing his own base against the billionaire at the convention or even running as an independent candidate. Each man has the ability to take the other one down, and that dynamic is the key to who eventually wins the nomination. (snip) There is a real possibility that these two will knock each other out, leaving the door open for the compromise candidate closest to being a semi-normal human.

Michael Bloomberg is at the crux of a battle of clichés. America may be the land of second chances, but you never get a second chance to make a first impression. The level of saturation of Bloomberg’s television advertising actually is working against him now. A number of pundits have recently argued that younger voters, especially those under 30, are less inclined to be bothered when they hear the word “socialism,” since they have no firsthand memory of the Cold War. To some extent, this must be true. Those who weren’t alive during socialism’s cruelest catastrophes — or even its many banal failures — will be less put off by the idea. Then again, if a presidential candidate were praising the excellent public transportation system of the Third Reich or going on about the some alleged benefit to American slavery, they would rightly be chased from the public square forever
