First to have a crack at it was Robert Mueller. Next up was Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats, who took a mighty swing but also whiffed. Could the one to finally strike a blow be … Amazon? The filings this week in an obscure federal contracting court by our Seattle tech bad boys made some headlines, mostly because Jeff Bezos and company are brazenly seeking to depose the baddest boy of all, Donald Trump.

What a crock of agitprop. If this is what the residents of Seattle feed on, no wonder their city government is so messed up.

The Executive Branch is in charge of the affairs of the Executive Branch. Those affairs include the locations of federal buildings, the negotiation of contracts, the hiring and firing of agency leaders, and countless thousands of other Executive Branch functions. Bezos and company can waste their money and time. They have to prove that what occurred violated law and/or executive discretion concerning contracts. It’s funny that they had no concern about Clinton contracts given to cronies who flooded the Clintons with cash. See Loral - China technology transfer deal for what is arguably the most treasonous act perpetrated by an American citizen.

Spin and lies. Amazon is suing the Pentagon for them pulling a bid they had on a contract. Microsoft got the contract, and that is going to be the end of it. Bezos can go enjoy his mistress and read the WaPo. By the way Seattle, clean up your own mess in your city before you start trying other people how to run their lives.

My guess is that Amazon and Bezos in particular are looking more at the bigger picture. The spector of anti-trust investigations against this behemoth might be what the attack is really about. 'These claims of anti-trust can't be true because the President has a hotel across the street from the FBI? He's already been impeached forever, so there better not be an SOCUS choice on the horizon.' More trash

U.S. Rep. But within hours, Smith, D-Bellevue, fell back in line, saying he “misspoke.” Smith’s bad morning began with a CNN interview in which he said “it is time” to send the articles “and let Mitch McConnell be responsible for the fairness of the trial.” While he said it had been “perfectly advisable” for Pelosi to try to leverage a fair Senate trial that “would show evidence and bring out witnesses,” he concluded “at this point, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.”
